FAQ

Is the app revenue compare tool free to use? v
Yes. Compare any two public App Store or Play Store apps by estimated monthly revenue, in-app purchase earnings, subscription revenue, ad revenue, downloads and paying users - 100% free, no sign-up, no API key, no credit card, no rate limits for normal use.
Which apps can I compare side by side? v
Any two apps with a public App Store or Google Play listing. iOS vs iOS, Android vs Android, iOS vs Android, or the same app on both stores. Compare estimated revenue, downloads, MAU, paying-user share, in-app purchase tiers, subscription pricing and grossing rank.
How accurate are the app revenue comparison numbers? v
Estimates are directional - typically within 2-3ร— of actual money earned for popular apps. We use live App Store grossing rank, Google Play install ranges, scraped subscription tiers, in-app purchase prices, ratings velocity and category ARPU benchmarks. Real revenue depends on geography, retention, refunds, ad fill rate and other private metrics the stores never publish.
Where does the comparison data come from? v
Free public sources only: Apple's iTunes RSS top-grossing chart, App Store and Google Play product pages, scraped subscription pricing and IAP tiers, ratings APIs, category-level ARPU benchmarks, ad-revenue eCPM benchmarks. We never use private Apple App Store Connect or Google Play Console data.
Can I share or save an app revenue comparison? v
Yes - every comparison gets a permanent shareable URL like /compare/chatgpt-ios-vs-claude-ios/ that captures the revenue, downloads, in-app purchases and subscription pricing for both apps. Send the link to anyone, drop it in a pitch deck, or come back to it later - the URL stays stable so SEO indexing works.
Can I compare app revenue in different countries? v
iOS comparisons default to the US App Store grossing chart. For country-specific revenue and downloads, use the country leaderboards at /leaderboard/country/[name]/ - pick a country, then click into individual apps for the local revenue, in-app purchase earnings and subscription revenue.
Can I compare more than two apps at once? v
Not in one view yet - multi-way comparison is on the roadmap. For now run two-way comparisons in separate browser tabs to benchmark revenue, in-app purchases, subscriptions and downloads across three or more apps.
