It has been more than a month the app stopped working, showing "Oops, something went wrong" error on almost every screen. A few months ago, it started getting really slow. I can't use my points, nor make any purchase. Please fix.
It doesn't work at all constantly says there's an error on their end. It's pure garbage

This app absolutely sucks. It worked one time. Now you try to open your bag and what doesn't exist. Wish they would make it so you can order online. Like a pizza. Going to lose a lot of business.
notifications are turned off but suddenly I'm getting promotion notifications weekly
I downloaded it and found it wasn't that good and I deleted it right away. Somehow it gave itself 5 stars. I did not give it stars. Changed it back to 1.
Works less than 30% of the time. Issues with adding items to the cart, issues with locating nearest location, issues with payment. I've given up on the app.
There's no deals in the app. So what's the point then? You just want our data for nothing? I don't even like McDonald's but they have deals constantly, at least five deals that are refreshing all the time, so I go there. It's just mind-boggling trying to figure out what these corporations think they're doing.

cancels orders, tells yoy to update app to newer version. there is no newer version.
staff are not trained to handle app orders pickups. wanted to skip the lines so ordered through the app; arrived at the pickup window and waited; 5 customers in line, all got serviced while I waited; finally skipped the pickup window got into line to inquire about the order; my fries were cold by the time they handed it to me
for a Chubby Chicken Cruncher, this is what you'd pay if you want it delivered (< 1km): $10.79 just for the burger + $5.99 Delivery Fee + $1.08 Delivery Service Fee + $2.32 Taxes + Tips (let's say $1) = a whopping $21.18. Better to opt for a meal from a real restaurant.
I HATE that you have to go to the restaurant right away after ordering. why can't I order for a certain time?
Horrible app, it's super slow and clanky. and every time I place an order, it loads forever and says there is an issue with my card. I have tried other cards and I get the same. garbage.
unable to sign in
absolute garbage, the signing in process is an absolute nightmare, logs you out every time there are absolutely no deals or offers whatsoever in the app. And I mean literally not a single one, not even one
terrible app never remembers username or password always asks me to sign in AFTER asking for location services. ever since covid "deals" are horrible yay some burnt coffee for 50 cents less..a and w has gone downhill.
sucks you can't give them the code over the speaker, before the window like every other fast food app, I end up forgetting about it by the time I leave, so I just eat elsewhere because I know they will ask me for my code first thing. so at least I know I'm getting points elsewhere
no matter where you live/work or how close you are to an a&w the app ALWAYS says you're too far away 🙄

Can't update credit card. Add new info, save it and then it just shows old card.

CC never works - waste of time.
App refuses to load at all, uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing changed, just loading forever and then giving an error after awhile. Buggy and inconsistent.

After the latest update I'm no longer able to modify the combo. I used to be able to change fries to onion rings or poutine but that is no longer available. I thought it was just on offers but it's even when building your own combo. I keep checking the app every couple weeks but no fix yet.
Errors while trying to purchase make it unusable
There's never any offers for good deals available on the app. What's the point of even having an app is that's the case, I'll just take my business to their competition who give good discounts through their apps.
the app wont even let you add your card to pay for orders, ive put my info in like 100 times now and its only worked a few times and never saves
Completely useless on Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. Just crashes and asks to find a location and when go to find a location just reload because it crashes.

(2022)Still can't use coupons. Doesn't even have all the A&Ws near me. No 30 Highbury Park Dr, K2J 6K8 listed and its not that new. 2026 update. Tried app again. It lasted 10 minutes. Paper coupons are around all over but not in the app that I can find. How many times do I need to log in after I've already logged in. Most places have finally gotten to decent apps. For A&W maybe next year.
Exiting the app causes my cart to reset and it's very slow.
they never have deals in the app. it always says "we are cooking up new deals" it also takes way too long to get enough points to make it worth your time.
The credit card that shows up on the confirmation is different from the one I used. The one I used shows correctly on the notification. What a mess!
It says the Victoria government st location is closed when it's not closed. yet when it's open the order here button is greyed out. Completely useless app. you don't want my business fine

It was a decent app. but after the new update it's horrible. the app now tries to send ur order to the wrong restaurant. none of the locations on the map matches with the actual address of the map. money down the drain b/c my dinner isnt sent to where I selected.
no integration at all. a barebones release with no roadmap to improve. no coupon offers, only awful ones compared to the mail in coupons. can't modify orders, so I'm stuck having to order in store. no reason to use the app.

Constantly asks to login and enter email code. Why not allow Google, Facebook etc logins? no one wants another account to remember. Especially for just a burger. Way too much friction to order. Especially since the app is always logging you out.

I recently received a gift card that can be redeemed at various retailers. I had considered dining at A&W and subsequently downloaded the application. However, I was surprised to find that it is not possible to use a gift card as a payment method within the app. Given this limitation, I have uninstalled the application and will not be placing an order with A&W. It is unfortunate to lose business over such a seemingly minor oversight.
