I hate it. when trying to adjust the doorbell chime it's in the oddest place. Seems it would be somewhere simple like settings, but no. Plus, the MAJORITY of time there's a lag when trying to view the camera when alerted.

I've been a loyal customer for approximately 12 years. My device panel recently stopped working and ADT wants to charge me $167 to send someone to service it. Thankfully, I no longer have a contract with them, so I'm cancelling as soon as I figure out how to do that because the app is not giving me the option to manage my own account 😡

It's too difficult to turn the "rules" off and on. It's hard to tell if they're on or not.
very poorly
it is super delayed and when I call them. they say its my internet connection. but my our security apps are prompt with notifications. I don't recommend. Also be careful with there third party distributors safestreet. not good service at all.
Not user friendly, it forces you to call to cancel. And they are too damn nosey, my military status shouldn't matter just cancel your horrible service.
Horrible experience. Continuous "sensor tamper" alarms with no resolution.
the are quick to take your money but when you have problems your on your own. I've been lied to by this company for 4 months. trash zero stars
I changed my password and the next day the app didn't recognize my password. I deleted the My ADT app. I called a tech. The tech said to install ADT Control. I tried. The Play Store message said it was already installed on my phone. Not the case. I had already deleted the My ADT app and restarted my phone to try to install the ADT Control app. I kept getting the message that it was installed.The app truly truly sucks. I guess I'll have to call ADT going forward for any new issues with my system.
terrible. poor design, not user friendly.
entire system is total garbage. cant wait until my contract is up to throw my 2k plus of equipment in the garbage. this app quit processing when my door is locked/unlocked. now it always says unlocked, unless I use the app to lock it. so I go to u lock and I have to relock to unlock. total garbage! oh, and i dont get alerts, or a phone call when my alarm goes off.
I cannot find this app. Its on my phone and I pay for the service. that's unacceptable because it is CRITICAL to using the system. I KNEW app only control was a bad idea. What if I dont have a smart device?
adt security system is a complete joke!! Smh
I would love if they would allow me to return their equipment and leave me alone. They trap you in a contract. PLEASE find another company.
The app does not provide a way to register, and neither does the my ADT website. When I click Open, I'm asked for my user name and password. Problem is, there is no way to create one.
Its a terrible app. does not update properly.

ADT sucks!! Having issues with my security and can't get these folks on the phone. The app help is no help. Been calling for days holding for hours. No one answers. Customer service sucks!! Looking into another security system. Can't stop the beeping because of wifi failure notice that won't stop. I am constantly rebooting during thecl day & it beeping keeps me up at night. Help! 6/24/22 Now my camera is not working even though new wifi router & info input stopped the issue with wifi connection
would not send help
App takes 3 full minutes to arm or disarm. In the past it was less than 1 minute. The app completely stopped working, asks me to try again for the past 5 hours.
it beeps but doesn't tell you why.
I haven't been able to troubleshoot my system, I can't see if own reflection from the camera in my house. Evelyn
Your app is whack.
no intuitive does what THEY want , sells a contract, no service for what they sell
The only thing that went smoothly was the installation. A few hours after that one of the sensors fell off the wall and broke, I was told someone would be out 2 weeks later to fix the broken sensor. I canceled my subscription because why would I pay for something I can't use and now no technician is available for another week and the alarm system keeps randomly going off. When you turn the whole system off it turns back on 15-20 minutes later.
this app does not have a panic button to manually trigger the alarm
This app is terrible. It takes forever to load, and and show history.
you will get notification, but the app freezes, glitches, lags 8/10 times. the app is not very intuitive. you get better response time from Ring or Blink. I use the Ring on my front door. I can't wait until the contract ends... never again
I can't get my WiFi changed. you should have it with app settings
I called for help many times, no one bothered to call back, or seriously service the sensitivity of the sensors to see if they're working.
This app is absolutely HORRIBLE! I just had a theft at my shop and the app isn't even working. It keeps freezing. Wont play the videos at all or the screen goes green. so much for the help! what do I even pay so much for?!

Advise against this service. You will be in a 3 year contract and it is in the fine print that they do not tell you about. Trying to cancel will cost you over a $1300. You can easily find alarms at home depot and save lots of money monitoring your service yourself. They really got me. Don't let them get you too. I am also reporting them to BBB. Also I can't even use my wall alarm. It hasn't worked for 5 months.
after an update I no longer get any notification, absolutely horrible

Abruptly just stopped allowing me to login. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and it still will not allow me to log in. the login help does not send me the reset password email as it keeps prompting me. Can no longer use this app
app is garbage. way way way too much stuff on the app that doesn't function. like literally 90% of the app is old junk that isn't active that they are too lazy to remove. also just integrate it with Google so I can manage my alarm system and view my cameras from one app. Getting ADT and ADT cameras will require you to have 2 separate apps; neither of which can do everything you want.
This is a useless system. i regret having it.
can't create biometric. terrible app. biometric worked yesterday now turned off by itself. dang what a mess.
Automation is shockingly bad. Why can't I automate scenes? Why are some things scheduled and some things rules? I literally can't automate something as simple as "Lock my front door at this time".

this app is an absolute JOKE. has so many features of which absolutely NONE function. they said it was for future development. been 3 years now and still an absolute joke of an app. Half the applications do not open because they do not exist or function. Hit the "support" and you get a blank page. you cannot control ANYTHING except turn on and off your alarm and NOTHING else despite so many non functioning options.
No way to share app access with others. Only primary user has app access. Everyone else is given permission to the devices directly such as the control panel. Bogus! Also not sure why there is this app and adt plus and they are two different apps. You'd figure a "top" security company would be better.
Whenever I put my phone on the t v set, the phone always shuts off, and not because of the phone and I have to keep redoing it, it's aggravating, isn't there a better way.
locking door suddenly stopped working after a few months. unlocking works, no issue. but locking, it just does nothing. and what kind of dev especially for a home security app doesn't push any app updates for nearly a year??
