Very bad experience with this app. I checked in online, but it has been stuck on “Finishing up” while loading my boarding pass for over 4 hours. I arrived at the airport, got my boarding pass printed, and my flight departs in 30 minutes - yet the app is still "finishing up." 🤦🏼🤦🏼🤦🏼🤦🏼

app barely even works
To log in through the app, you must download and use a browser they want. Useless without being able to login. Logging in directly on the browser I want works fine. This design choice is lazy and sloppy.

I've flown all over the world and dealt with plenty of airlines, and Air Canada stands out for the wrong reasons. Two problems made this trip miserable. First, my fare allowed no carry-on at all, which meant everything had to be checked and I was left with nothing on board for a long flight. That restriction was not made clear when I booked. Second, and worse: I tried to change my seat to an exit row and could not reach a single human being to do it. I spent over five hours on the phone.
Air Canada is so disorganized. 2 flights delayed, and delayed until canceled. No communication was offered whatsoever while we waited for 5h and so. Then, after canceling and hotel voucher was offered, and supposedly the shuttles to the hotel were nowhere to be found. We paid Uber to go, to get some rest and few hours of sleep. next day, the same thing? Very disappointing, either was AC or YYZ. I will definitely avoid both from now on.

Developers blocked my OS or phone version. App is useless now.

logged in with 2fa it worked. then when enabling family sharing it says 2fa wasnt enabled. then broke.
fraudulent and misleading communications. terrible customer service from Vito Zullo. acknowledging Air Canada made a mistake he simply stated deal with customer support, it's a problem with "our" IT department. No offer for a solution, no apology.
very disappointed that my tablet can no longer run this app and upgrade on my samsung. I like having this when I travel.
No way to cancel / remove 'membership' online
This app worked in the past, but after the latest update nothing works... can't scan boarding passes, check flight status, add a trip... It's totally useless.
App would not allow me to remove it from my screen. It blocked usage of my cell phone!
#Update 2026-05-12: I appreciate the quick response from developer. 1. All my other apps from banks, other airlines, etc. work on my phone released in August 2019. So, removing the support for Android 11 seems unnecessary. 2. Yes, I used the web page instead: it was useful but not the same as the app. #Original message: Disappointed that this app is no longer compatible with my Android 11 phone. An utility app shall serve as many people as possible. All my bank apps work,

Might be... good for inland flights... but for international code shares its a total mess :)
Keeps freezing at login. And I don't know who thought it was cool to split the login screen in half where it becomes difficult to see all the info. Checki-in process terrible. Go back and it logs you out. Try to upgrade then go back, you have to restart the check in process.
The Innital App is okay but there is one important problem. The app is not letting me sign in to my Aeroplan account. I put in my email and password, and when I click log in, it gives me the loading gear symbol. After that, the symbol just disappears and I am not logged in. Air Canada, please fix this.
