This app gave a wrong error message about my connection being bad until I switched my VPN to use a China server. Then it would not let me do anything unless I entered my cell phone number. It correctly guessed my (non Chinese) country code. But every time that I clicked on the Get verification code, nothing happens. Web research indicates that they actually require a Chinese cell phone number. The app should have warned me about both of these restrictions.

Installed AMap because I want to see the more location info of hotels I reserved in Shanghai. This app could not even find the address of the 1st hotel I searched, when Google Map can. So I uninstalled AMap right away.

when I open it, I always wonder if a person who's in a hurry, maybe in the life or death situation, is ever gonna (and forced to) use it. I never get access to the app first, I get Taobao or any other app opened first (by force) with some tricky ad, in the beginning. I always end up with a Taobao, or Pingduoduo over my screen instead of the map. Now I need to go to 急诊, and instead of quickly calling a taxi or looking for the route, I enjoy the ads. Think about it.

This is a joke... I launch the app, be it English or chinese, it cannot even show me the correct geographical country where the address is based. And many travellers still claim that it is a 'must have app' when traveling to China. I enter in an address I China, it show me Hawaii.. speechless
why do I have to log in for a map?? and the login for non china numbers is broken? verification code button does nothing

Terrible user interface, hard to navigate within the app. Rifed with wrong or outdated information. It directed me to drive deep into the ocean to cross Taiwan strait. An obvious attempt at copying Google or Apple map's success but failed miserably. Would give give it zero if I could.
Use its navigation only, don't make purchase or you'll find out yourself the hard way

In Morocco, many city names are written incorrectly in Arabic, French, and English. This causes poor navigation to some cities. Additionally, the separation shown between Morocco and its Sahara is unacceptable. here are no physical or political borders between them.

The app is very slow, considering that it needs to upload and download data from the cloud all the time. it'll be better if this isn't needed
For Bangladesh, sign-up is not possible due to the need for a Chinese phone number.
