you pay for a service asking you to upgrade constantly
literally does not pick any song from my favorites playlist but instead plays the same five freaking songs over and over.
lost many or my music purchases using my music offline is very cumbersome very disappointing
stops music to buffer way too much when my internet speedtest is 300mbps+. on my older LG V8 it takes multiple minutes to load an album page, on my newer S26 Ultra and my S24, it sometimes happen too. i think it's a problem with cache. they added the social feature of groups, but it's half-baked. they should focus on finding ways to make the app faster, less buffering, faster loads, and improve UX. evrytime I call them on ths issues, they make me uninstall reinstall but problems always come back
Spotify is way better.
Not opening after multiple attempts on my Samsung S26
this app sucks, you can even listen to certain albums! I'm not giving anyone my money! I DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE A BIG COMPANY, JUST GIVE US ACCESS FOR THE ALBUMS! ITS THE WHOLE POINT OF THE APP! Unbearably slow scrolling of playlists. Super buggy. Missing Playlist, disappearing music from Playlist. No help at all from the help forums. Playlists hidden from My Music,and only accessible after 4 clicks through menu, settings, profiles. This app has gone downhill fast. About ready to cancel the family plan and switch services.
unless you pay for a subscription the app no longer allows downloading albums that you purchased back when that was not a required part of the deal. if you want to play music for which you have paid, this change is fatal to it when data is unavailable.

Amazon technician admitted problems with the interface between this app and Echo devices. AMAZON IS NOT TRYING TO FIX IT. I'VE BEEN COMPLAINING FOR 5 YEARS. I have tried every fix they have suggested including updating my internet service. It is definitely an Amazon Music app problem and it is getting worse every time they update the app or add more features. Alexa 2.0 is dreadful.
when trying to find my music in the library, the different tabs like artists doesn't show my music; it shows stuff I haven't even purchased. The only tab that shows my music is purchased. Also, Problems with adding new music to playlists I've created. It's been like this for years and Amazon doesn't fix it.
terrible app. you download music to listen on a flight, but then it wants connection to refresh.
my favorite part of this app is when you buy a song on the website and then favorite it so it adds to your library you still have to wait a week before you can actually listen to it in the app. There is a button to allow you to refresh your music library, it is just there for decoration as it doesn't do anything at all!
Nothing says “we value our customers” like charging people for a service, then carving out basic features and hiding them behind yet another subscription. Music Prime somehow manages to feel both paid for and unfinished, which is a special kind of corporate magic. The extra subscription does not unlock greatness. It unlocks the app being slightly less annoying. That is not a feature; that is a ransom note. One star, only because the system refuses to acknowledge zero.
The app would be fine if it didn't keep badgering you about buying a prime membership, you say no once. stop begging. also the app stops working will not play have to reboot my phone after every podcast episode.
this must be one of the most infuriating apps I ever had to pay a fortune to use. When opening the widget its often impossible to get out of the screen of whatever played last and requires cleaning the cash to work again. Podcast list just returns a blank and is difficult to navigate to if something is playing. The UI is unintuitive and even after a year it is soooo confusing and takes several clicks to execute the most common features. It's utter trash.
The app is simply awful. I've tried for 2 years to give it a chance. It's just too glitchy. Freezes, crashes, android auto with it is horrible. Are the developers trying to make it horrible to use. And the shuffle..... ffs, update your algorithm to actually shuffle, not just repeat the same 50 songs out of a 1000 song playlist over and over and over. You end up having to remove some songs so they will stop being prioritized Spotify is leaps and bounds ahead of this trash app. Waste of $$$

Loved the app up until about a month or so ago.With no warning or notice,I received the Alexa plus upgrade(neither requested nor wanted).Now the app will restart songs randomly,log me out randomly on the device that is most frequently used,and then there is that horrible voice.I reiterate,the app was near perfect and I want the old voice back.Comtacting support to get rid of this mess has been a waste of time.oh,also volume normalization does not work.Ambushing your users isn't a great idea.

It’s so pushy and persistent, and there’s no option to turn it off or opt out so I don’t have to see it every time I open the app. I just want to listen to music without constantly getting hit with “Do you want to sign up for Unlimited?”

Spotify is more seamless and doesnt kick you off the app or widget. Spotify remembers where you left off on. If you want an artist it plays ONLY THAT ARTIST. Unlike Amazon Music where you ask for an Artist and it will play you 1 song and then suggest every other artist that isnt even in the genre. What are we dealing with here on a multi billion dollar company. Did Mickey mouse write the code?
App is glitchy, keeps going back and forth between the home screen and a blank screen, thus not allowing me to scroll through the app for music.
Will not play the song you select. We have had the family music plan for years. now that the kids are older, we canceled only to find playing what you want is a paid perk. Regret any money I had spent in the past and when I choose to pay for music in the future it will not be from Amazon. Honestly though I had already been meaning to switch back to CD and records. Thx for the push I guess. All this new age streaming has been a scam for greed not convenience.
this app is really buggy. it won't even load my liked music with internet. it doesn't let you look up songs, and the Alexa doesn't work. please fix these bugs!
Everything in this app works the way it should, and Amazon Music is a great streaming service. Edit: Updating from 5 to 2 stars. Now has forced AI and a permanent floating widget on the already small screen. I clicked and agreed to the terms in an attempt to remove the floating obstruction. Now there's something else for me to accidentally press. Absolutely hate this.
very difficult navigating your app
When it works, it's fine. But most of the time I can't connect to my speakers at home. Got a multiroom Sonos setup, multiple Chromecasts, and a Q990F soundbar. All of them are unable to play Amazon Music. Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music just work
