I had a terrible experience with Amex, I cannot recommend them to anyone. Never book with Amex Travel either, it's just a huge waste of time. They are unclear on fees, made a mistake in the booking I had to fix with Qantas for 2h, and they don't even have a way to change your booking online. You always have to call them. I mean, it's 2026....

If you don't use your login regularly you get locked out. Then you sit on the phone for ever.
overseas transaction fees are a rip off
things time out before you can finish what you're doing. makes it very hard to use any special bonuses that exist within your account
why is this not available on android 11?
Today I have been unable to log in as usual to several AU based apps and yours was one of them.. Please be advised that I am a long time Amex customer, fully verified. I will NOT be supplying further bio data here, nor do I agree to be tracked around my phone with AI. if not fixed back to normal shortly, I'll be deleting the app.
Can't see past Transactions after 2 weeks
the travel credit cannot be apply. it ask you to choose card after you put all the details to search for a hotel, after you click choose card it goes back to previous screen and you are in a loop. please fix this asap
Unable to set up account for additional card. Support via chat was unable to resolve the issue.
Disappointed that my Android version is no longer supported with the last update. This is the first app in which this has happened. It's a warning to check every app before you update. To roll-back seems difficult.
Dealing with the American express team will ruin your day, they are completely incompetent.

Not a true native experience. UX is very average. I wish it were easier for me to see what benefits I have (and how many used vs available, expiry) within a dashboard. p.s ever since amex changed their points program, airline points are hardly worth it. not sure about this pivot to everyday spend at the cost of it
The app used tonwork, now I can't book flights. Enter flight details, press go, and I'm taken to a page to book hotels. I go back to the page to book flights, and all the details I entered are still there. And here begins the infinite loop. And I still have a tonne of points I can't cash in.
When I book flights it keeps locking me out saying "5 minutes of inactivity" (which is not correct) and I have to start all over again... very frustrating..
