This new app is useless. It doesn't show the bus on the app, only the departure time. While before it was showing the live bus on the map, and also the time is expected... Can it be changed back???
this app is a step backward when you go into the app it does not take me to where I am. Not recognised the location I want to travel to this was stored in the old app.

preferred the old app can track the buses better live tracking don't even work on the new app absolutely pointless
The old app was far easier to use and track buses. The new one is over complicated, harder to navigate and the tracking doesnt show bus numbers anymore.
It would help if someone who uses the buses had been consulted. A child would do better. Consider your passengers! This app is a one off, NEVER experienced an app replacing a good one with one not fit for purpose! 18/6 WHY can't you click on a bus and see what time it will get to a specific stop! Another day! PLEASE MAKE THIS APP DO WHAT THE LAST ONE DID. BACKWARDS STEP!
Total garbage. Told me to walk home. Not only that but said it would take half an hour (probably because the mapped route went the long way round). I chose to ignore it and a bus came 5 mins later.
Not sure what's the point of having this app if it wont show the updated times. The buses are delayed by like 10-20 minutes.
this app overcharges, it's 2.40 for a single trip when you buy it in the bus but 3.00 in the app for some reason.
The old version worked but the new app is useless. Really poor Arriva app Google is more reliable for bus timetables.
Edit: Dropped to one star from 3 because they did dare showing they dont read these can't buy multiple tickets at once, making me do the whole damn checkout 6 times also dont you dare reply telling me to contact you others have said this in other reviews
I got advised by customer services I could take a screenshot of the bus ticket - to print off, as my son needed it for school. After buying a ticket and downloading the app - logging in. I found that I couldn't take a screenshot or download the ticket, as advised. this was really frustrating as my son had to then walk a hour and fifteen minutes home (in the rain). absolutely disappointed that I wasted £165 on a ticket he couldn't use for the year!!
it's almost funny. instead of me leaving my property, cross the road to the stop. 3 mins at most. it directs me to the beach. then half a mile through sand banks before doubling back on itself 18 mins. still not happy that functions have been removed, rather than improved on. in general the old app was far more useful and user friendly.

When will companies learn that functionality is more important than aesthetics? Now you can't even see all the buses on a map. The only reason I used this is to see where my bus was when it was running late. Fire all project managers and let the software engineers do their job
there is one bus I use that the app cannot ever find because the specific route has two busses that have the same number and it only ever shows me the one bus that I don't need to use, absolutely stupid!
why is this designed to be as unusable as possible
very bad service buses are not on time delayed for 1 hour everytime
what a joke of an app even worse than the last one, sure the old app was awful too but at least it shown me live where the busses where this one cant even do that!
after the update the timetable has become even more inaccurate, it says itll arrive in about 14 min and jve waited half an hour for it to still say 8 minutes remaining and not saying that it was delayed by how ever long.
Bad . I want to find out the route for 1x service and what are the limited stops .
An absolutely terrible app. Bad layout, bad bus tracking. About as reliable as the bus service.
one star because I have to to be able to write a review!😡 new app is impossible to use and the times aren't correct. no buses arrive when the app says there due and you can't track the buses to be aire with saving the journey now which also doesn't work. it's made me late for work and get on the wrong bus is places I've never been. not helpful at all or reliable.
hate this new app can't see live bus tracking preferred old app now having to go on other sites to see at least times of bus's
love the removal of being able to select an individual bus and see how late it will be lets solve the busses being late by making it harder for customers to see how late the bus actually is app runs like the service rarely useful rarely convenient and overall disappointing
While this app is a lot more aesthetically pleasing than the previous app, I found that it's functionality pales in comparison. For example, it is quite difficult to track buses now, if they are on time you can tap the bus stop and then track the bus.. but if the bus is late and you want to know where you're bus is, you can't track it! this is especially annoying when you wait in false hope that a bus will arrive when it's been cancelled. My job is testing and maintening software. Do better!
Awful. Cannot do the most basic things on this app, trying to buy a ticket? won't go through. Trying to check bus times? it will tell you you need to take 2/3/4 buses when there is a direct bus route, click to see earlier/later buses and it's like a lucky dip with bus times. I've no idea how you are supposed to use the timetable as stops are in the wrong order and it shows no buses stopping at my stop. I've had to take photos of the timetable at the bus stops I use because the app is so unusable
There seems to be no possibility of downloading a PDF timetable. If there is, it's very well-hidden. App interface is far too complex - a triumph of form over function.
it doesn't work
Whilst it identifies my home location correctly it consistently directs me to two other bus routes with bus stops that are 8 minutes away and 22 minutes away rather than the bus route that passes the end of my street with a bus stop 1 minute walk away. Prefer the previous app version. Functionality was better.
this new ap is hard to use. I used the previous ap with no problem.
Can't track live busses. The old app worked great, this one was designed by a toddler. EDIT: App won't remember favourite stops and has completely lost the ability to track vehicles. (not that the tracking worked properly before. It would magically zoom me from the Midlands to Leeds or Birkenhead tracking completely different buses)
I've logged in now and gotten used to the app. I've increased from 1 to 2 stars thanks to dark mode, but I cannot give a higher rating. For one, brightness is locked upon opening a ticket- which means I cannot change my screen to be brighter if the sensor doesn't work, which is a pointless addition. Another is the tracking buses- the main reason for a bus app is to be able to track buses, but now you can only select what buses to see based off of one bus stop? Which is very silly.
Counter intuitive. Hard to find my way around this app when all I want is bus times. The old app was a lot easier to use.
Slowly improving. I use it for checking times of bus arrivals at various stops. After selecting a bus departure from a stop, the timetable below the live map does not get updated if the bus is late. It can be construed as confusing. maybe a +5 next to the time if late. I did provide feedback to Arriva bus customer services but no answer.
Can no longer track buses that are not running on time. Have to use live tracking to see where buses are and guess
Significant downgrade to previous App. You can only see a bus if you have added the route to your favourites making commuting on different routes each day much harder to figure out. On top of this the departure page doesn't show delays, only the expected time for example a bus due in one minute might actually still be ten minutes away but I wouldn't know. Very strange UI decisions considering the previous app didn't have these issues.
absolutely terrible app since the update and new version! used to be able to track my sons bus without any issues so that he knew it was on it's way but now there's no tracking at all! why change things that aren't broken, and make them broken! worst app I've used for a very long time! wouldn't waste your time downloading it. Arriva, try harder and make an app that is actually user friendly with the tracking information, if thats what you're advertising! because this app sucks!
This app is worse in every way compared to the previous version.
A slap in the face for loyal bus users but some plusses. The live map presentation better but fatal flaws: past and estimated live route timings have been removed! (which is why I used the app!). Also big new learning curve to understand the functions. Frustrating, NOT intuitive. Only shows your chosen buses, needing knowledge you don't always have. Stuck at a bus stop I want to know when it will arrive! + what other busses are around when live planning . No PDF timetables now!! Do you hate us?
An almost complete downgrade from the old app, no longer shows if the bus is late and what time the bus will arrive and what stops it has reached/is yet to reach. The dark background is nicer on the eyes and the bus map tracking is more precise than the old app, but not worth the lost features in my opinion
