I've been using Avast cleanup for over 10 years and everything has always worked perfectly. This last time has been a complete nightmare and my phone hasn't been the same since. Immediately deleted this app afterwards and I will never use it again. Use at your own risk.

Paid subscriber using Avast Cleanup on a Pixel 7a. Recent updates have made the app far less useful. Instead of clearing cache, it opens each app's Storage settings and shows a popup saying "Tap Clear Cache Above." In other words, I have to manually clear the cache myself. I can do the same thing directly in Android Settings without Avast. The app now feels like a guide rather than a cleanup tool, making the paid subscription difficult to justify.
It's a good product, except once you buy coverage there are several other add ons. It should be all in 1.

I have the paid version, but it's not very effective. It never cleans as much as it says it will. Also still regularly advertises other Avast products at me.
too bloody complicated and confusing.
I seem to have to manually clear cache rather than the app clearing cache. Paid for a Premium subscription but the annoying ads appear and then the app doesn't run.
Why is the App all of a sudden requiring a physical tap every cache to clean in deep clean? what is the point of paying for auto clean if i am back, physically tapping clear cache for every stage??
didn't like it from the start!
I tried deleting files through this app, and they're still on my phone. Plus the sleep mode feature only works when an ad can play, and if it can't you have to manually stop each individual app. Not worth it at this point.
Don't ever use this to clean up your phone. It doesn't work and even if you unsubscribe, they keep the money that should be returned to you.

I'm using the free version. It's supposed to be a goodie but opening it up is so filled with marketing claptrap you barely know and this is after at least a minute's buttons and blather) whether it's working or what it's done. There are other "rated" cleaners which are faster, more intuitive and vastly more user friendly. What a disappointment.
No longer automatically clears the hidden cache of installed apps, requires me to tap "clear cache" for each app individually.
since the recent update you now have to keep tapping clear cache button. What's the point in that. may as well unsubscribe and do it myself 😔
