no different than all the others. constant badgering you with ads to purchase. functions removed for removal of common issues. uninstalled.

activate the app to clean the virus
I had the paid version along with the antivius. This App used to work brilliantly, I used the free version was very impressed then bought the paid version. Over the past eight months I noticed a steep decline with this App running very slowly taking ages to do what it previously did in a few minutes. Now it refuses to deep clean. Even the ordinary clean refuses to clean cache and browser history. UPDATE I uninstall Ed, reinstalled and same problem. NORTON free trial & works BRILLIANTLY!
the issues from 2 years ago are still here making me regret coming back to avg. I have paid for a year but available want me to pay again. tried to report this to them but unable. so I have a product that I've paid for but can not use unless I pay more!

The app has stopped cleaning the cache of each app on my phone. I have to do it manually. Cleaning now takes 10 minutes not the few seconds it used to. Is this my phone stopping it working properly?

I have the paid version of this app on a Google Pixel 8a with updated OS and security updates. The app stopped clearing cache (and possibly more) with March/April Google Security update. So Google has created havoc (and evil) on a formerly useful app, it may not be worthwhile to now (April, 2026) buy or use the paid or free version of AVG Cleaner or any other file/memory cleaner products. This move by Google is so arrogant, it really pisses me off. At least Google could have warned users.
Appears to go through motions of clearing caches but at end says only deleted 24kb and my phone's free space is unchanged. Cleaner app cache cleared etc. Pixel 10 Pro xl android 16
Not feeling this Subscription model they're doing these days. Decent cleaner but not worth paying a monthly fee.
Worked great on my Pixel 10 Pro earlier this year, and now it doesn't clean hidden caches anymore. I uninstalled, reinstalled, granted permissions, to no avail. When it did work, the product was great, though. I would've recommended it then. But now, I'm paying for something that doesn't work. I still have faith, as AVG is a solid company with quality products. One last thing : it's not our phones, guys, it's your app.
I love using this app. But since I've gotten my TCL phone the app no longer cleans all the cache the app says I have in my phone. I am forced to run the cleaning process multiple times. And even that doesn't always clean all the cache. Is this something to do with my phone or the apps compatibly with my phone? I hate giving a 2 star rating because I know the app deserves 5 stars. However when the app doesn't do as it's intended I have no choice to lower my rating.
AVG - NO, I will NOT call you regarding this issue! (You should have full access to all the necessary version numbers.) Between the latest Android update and the latest version, the time it takes to run the quick clean went from about five minutes to more than thirty, with numerous cache cleaning errors. Edit: I tried the recommendations, still drags and misses most cleanable data.
why am I being charged 24 for a$12/year app. Wouldn't want a collaborative feature too hackable. Why did this damn thing leave ad residue but take out my Kindle app?
