hate it. they know to only give you 7 days trial anyone uses it longer will quit this app sucks, I was tired of Duolingo so I decided to give this one a try, went straight back to Duo, it is way better

after many years I decided to give it a try- the same begginner. even though I am watching movies, having conversations ect... did not find that magical corner to upgrade my level, and have no motivation to have 3 lessons with name "I have a headache". it's a pity there is nothing more for you to offer

this app is not an easy learning process it's like being in a Spanish class
AWFUL!! They tell you that you can have a subscription for $8.99 a month.. they're taking the whole year btw. After I've already established that I can pay 8.99 after taking my money they say "we don't offer anything like that." So the fight begins to get my money back... oh and good luck talking to a human being! There are other apps. My advice, go there, you're just going to get screwed here!
It doesn't have Czech as a language.
you don't learn that much
The app is very low effort, like Rosetta Stone from 2002. Plus extremely cringe and insufferable podcasts. Immediately cancelled my suscription and deleted the app. Yikes.
really not happy
I can't even access to the app. First it needs login. when I enter my gmail, then it needs the password, I tried my gmail password many times and it denied. Magic link doesn't work neither. Please help me.
no option for alot of languages
I hate this program and I'm so sorry I paid. first, it starts too hard. I may have told it not to start at the beginning of French, but I can't change it. & who wants to know how to spell the words for peanuts!? I sure don't. Also, it's too slow after you answer something to give you the next thing to fill in. Also it counts an answer as being wrong if I don't put an apostrophe or a hyphen in it. It should give you credit whether you leave the apostrophe or hyphen out just like Duolingo does
this app just waste my time I expected too much from this but it's too much disappointed me

The sad, same old story has happened to the Babble App developers as with many developers. They got really GREEDY! Prices jumped without notifying customers and access per subscription was halved. You now spend more money for much less. This is a stupid move since there are now multiple language apps that offer way more for less. Its time to leave Babble in the grave and move on.
this app could be way better. the AI feature is awful. even when pronouncing the words correct the AI feature will say it's not correct!
was going well learning a little every day. And suddenly mid-lesson I can't use voice recognition lessons without them needing to not only farm the data (that would be okish within reason) but they also ask for permission to "store and use my voice" nope. far too vague also. if you want to use people's voices you can pay people. although not me. Im not paying to help you make your product and you are suddenly delivering less product on top. last month of subscription for me looks like
I searched for a free language app and this one popped up. For an app that teaches language, it doesn't seem to understand words - there's a difference between "free trial" and actually free. Don't bother freaking out at me, devs, I won't be reading your response to this review. Uninstalling.

they do not have greek as a option to learn, and they have very few languages.
same as all other apps. Just click buttons repetitively. barely any speaking involved
not at all what I required, no way to tailor your learning to the level you want, hard to navigate. utter waste of money for me
I can't even select dutch as my starting language (cause I'm dutch) and I can't even learn Japanese, Mandarin or Latin? I think it's time for an update
I really wanted to like this app, unfortunately the biggest issue I have with this is the lessons are way too long resulting in a lot of wasted time, on other apps you will learn something and revise it a few times then build on it, here it feels like you spend 20 minutes on the same 4 phrases and never really learn properly because you burn so much time. in the hour of time I dedicate to language each day Ive had to remove babel as I don't want to spend 40 minutes to revise 101 on repeat.
Couldn't even start learning as the voice input is broken. Even after trying everything possible.

Unless I consent for Babbel to train an AI with my voice I'm not allowed to do any speaking practice. I'm already paying you money, how about you actually provide me with the service I was paying for? prev a 5* review but the app is getting steadily worse

Updated the app and now I can't even do a lesson. I can tap a lesson but the screen goes black and I have to close the app. Canceled subscription.

I'm really frustrated with the speaking features. I payed for one full year, but I regret it. The AI never understands me never corrects my sentences. It's not fun. Duolingo works way better and is cheaper
It has all languages except Arabic. It’s important that Arabic is not available in this app. It’s impossible, I don’t understand why they didn’t include the Arabic language, Babble.
Great until you need to do speaking. The recognition is AWFUL. The worst I've seen in a language app. Worst is that you saying something almost exactly the same as the voice and having it inevitably counted wrong gets counted as a mistake you need to correct. It's okay to be garbage at speech recognition BUT DON'T MAKE ME CORRECT IT 50000 TIMES. I SAID DOUZE PERFECTLY SO MANY TIMES THAT IT'S SEERED INTO MY MIND. WHEN I'M OLD AND DEMENTED IT WILL BE THE SOLE SURVIVING KNOWLEDGE IN MY EMPTY BRAIN
I like the different features of this app, like how you can simulate a conversation to get more comfortable, but sometimes the sentences you learn are really awkward and will never come in handy. The pace of the lessons is also too fast. They teach you too much new information without context. I think I still prefer Duolingo, which teaches you new content gradually and simply.
