Someone tried to send me money from Spain over two weeks ago, and I still haven’t been able to access it. Instead, my account was blocked without any proper explanation. This money was meant for an emergency, and because of this situation, I’ve been put under serious stress. It’s unacceptable that a bank can just lock an account and leave a customer without access to their own funds for weeks. I urgently need this resolved.

Die BBVA-App nutzt ausschließlich 'WebID' zur Identitätsprüfung, die weder Reiseausweis noch Aufenthaltstitel akzeptiert. Dies macht es vielen rechtmäßigen Einwohnern unmöglich, ein Konto zu eröffnen. Dienste wie IDnow und PostIdent unterstützen diese Dokumente problemlos. BBVA sollte die akzeptierten Ausweisdokumente dringend erweitern.

The app is so cumbersome and counter intuitive. It always takes a few minutes to find what I was looking for. It feels not the most transparent to me (for instance, interest calculations) and the fact that scheduled transfers are sent on the day but will still take a few days to arrive feels weird in the era of instant transfers. Stayed for the higher interest rate, but now that that's done I'll move back to slicker apps with better UX.

Already talked to 5 customer service reps and it was a waste of time. The lay out of the app leaves a lot to be desired. Discourages strong passwords. Ads should never be part of a banking app. Never! By default the camera records you using the app.

Schlechteste Bank bei der ich je war, 2 Tage nach Kontoerstellung nur noch eingeschränkt nutzbar wegen "unregelmäßigen Geldbewegungen", wie auch immer man das nach 2 Tagen feststellen kann, Kundenservice hilft 0, sagt mir seit 3 Wochen sie können nichts sagen, in bis zu einer Woche funktioniert es wieder - geht bis heute nicht. Einzige was aber offenbar regelmäßig geht ist Popups zum Freunde werben oder das Hauptkonto zu ihnen umziehen lassen. Im Leben nicht, da verhungert man ja bis zum Fix...

Horrible customer care. I tried to open the online account with my indian passport. Whenever I try doing the video verification, the customer service agent immediately cuts the call when I ask if English is possible or if i reply in english. Happened multiple times. I'm put out. Won't be proceeding.

Absolutely horrible experience with the application. The process of residence and tax information verification is a total chaos. When you upload the documents in your Document section, sometimes the attachments are saved and sometimes not. Sometimes, the attachments just disappear. The online support is absolutely helpless and not competent. If I send the documents directly to them, they ask you to upload the documents in the App, and as I mentioned, it's not working. 0/10 can't recommend

Unübersichtlich, buggy, falscher Zinssatz ... Man muss jedesmal, wenn man mehr als 10k überweisen muss/will, den Pass von beiden Seiten fotografieren und ein Selfie mit dem Pass machen und diese an eine Nachricht in der app anhängen mit der Bitte das Limit zu erhöhen. Das muss man mindestens 2 Werktage im voraus machen. Dann wird das Limit nur für paar Tage erhöht und beim nächsten Mal muss man all die Fotos und Selfie von vorne machen! Das wird nirgends von BBVA kommuniziert!

I'll review only the app since the banking service is (semi)independent of it. The app looks really old, it makes me feel I'm opening an account with some local, amateur finance company. I use N26 as well and I strongly suggest look at the other digital banks and improve the experience. Whenever I show my friends that BBVA has launched in Germany, and show them the app to convince them opening one...they seem discouraged because the app is not attractive at all, HUGE marketing fail there.

Compared to N26, Vivid or Revolut, this app is an absolute disaster. I don't know how you can build up such a large global customer base with an app like this. In addition, the deposit guarantee of 100,000 is not secured in Germany, but in Spain. Two stars** for the cashback and quick setup.
