not at all the salesperson said it was. not intuitive at all. Just does it based on if your phone is connected to the car, so you need to go in any time you were a passenger to tell it you weren't the driver using your phone driving. I wprried about the mental load this app would add to my life and was told by the salesperson to download the app and forget about it for 6 months, and then check it. DO NOT DO THAT. Apparently, you can only edit up to 30 days, so I would have been screwed if I did.
Bait and switch pricing. Agent waited until 4:30 pm of the day before policy was to take effect to inform me the price she quoted was going to be more than double the price she quoted.
always not working well even though I've called in to change my address the proof of insurance keeps showing my old address of 3 years. and it won't let me update my address on the app

Keep getting kicked out while trying to "replace my car"... Constantly tells me I have settings off but I don't... I don't find the app user friendly. I would still recommend the company though!

I'm about 6 months, 2nd review. app has zero tolerance on the speed limit. in the highway, I moved over to the fast lane, let him go, then move back to slow lane cause the guy behind me wouldn't want to change lane, can't speed up either. OMG. I'm creating more problems to myself and irritating more drivers. thats how it feels like
Forced me to randomly re-sign documents that have types and codes that I can't possibly know as if I'm an agent, and if I don't submit them then my insurance bundle with my home goes up. Looking to switch off Belair Direct asap.
you have not fixed the add a car to your policy for over 6 months now. when you select the option to add a new car, it asks you to select from your existing cars. fix it!!
broken app. emailed support ages ago. no replies. got a generic reply on here that appeared to be AI generated. app is randomly just auto adding me as passenger, by defauly, but at complete random. today, i drove. it set me as passenger on its own. when you select driver, it has no safety data attributed to it. a LOT of bugs in this app.
Automerit is terrible. Inconsistent at best. Doesn't register some trips or registers wrong. Smoothness and braking measures are not consistent. The app has bugs where it displays the wrong trip when you are looking at previous trips. Things to do better. Log trips faster and more consistently. Allow manual start and end of trips. Show people their exact faults, when and where into the trip they happened (ex. Deceleration in excess of X/mps @ location, or used phone at 6 min into trip)
not only are they completely incompetent at making sure the app works properly, but when you do need to make a claim because someone else hit your parked and empty car, you will be the one paying a fee just to get your own car fixed. my experience has been terrible this far and only continues to get worse. you are better off buying spare parts at a junkyard if you crash than submitting a claim on the app.

scaming me with extra money
For the last month or so, I've been unable to change from driver to passenger. Now I can't even see my driving score be it a driver or passenger. It sometimes flashes "today's" drive then goes away. Extremely frustrating! I've uninstalled the app per an agents advice and reinstalled and I find it's worse now. Please let me know if there's anything from my end that I can do. **Note: this app did work for the first couple of months.

Far too expensive!!! You offer me a $50 gift card for Fridnd referral, why not lower your rates. Also, where are the savings when I combine home and auto insurance? Also, strange coincidence that when I got a reduction my car insurance my home insurance rate goes up significantly, especially since no claims were ever made on either my home or car insurance.

I am trying to set up the app for driver #2 on her phone. I did all it asked, and it just sits there. no error code. no instructions. not user friendly at all. I'm now trying to contact the 1888 help number to no avail.
Brutal experience. Submitting claims does not work. Then you have to go through the horros of talking to their ai chatbot just to get to an agent who tells you to call the 188 number. Would give 0 stars if I could.
Seems to require to uninstall and reinstall Everytime when login error happens . cannot reset password through app , throwing error. Before starting to use app these issues showing up. What more to come ? Please fix it asap.

I never signed up for this company. Belair just took over... you know, corporate control. I had a claim in November... this service is not a company, its extortion. Your representative needed a perfect score and paid me $1500 to achieve it after a subcontractor was less that acceptable. Insurance is fraud. Let me keep my money and ill fix my own home. So when we dont own anything anymore... what happens to you?
very unhappy. i had a medical issue. my insurance was canceled because of a form.I didn't know of. i renewed, my insurance with bell direct.My insurance got boosted four hundred dollars. they stated, I lost my customer loyalty discount , even though i'm renewing what the same insurance company. I will be going with another insurance company with both of my house and car insurance next year when my Contract expires.
I had to come back and update this review after today's event. Logged in once trying to update our banking info. Not in this app you won't. Call us. Tried to get in later to find a number. Couldn't loggin the app or web site. Chat is a joke as well, some AI clown pretending to be a human. Finally found a number, couldn't update our banking info without my wife's approval even though this was done two years ago. Any female voice could have authorised this. Wow, a total disaster all around.
App is very difficult to navigate. Help feature is not helpful. Menu is unclear and useless. Even though I am in the app, it keeps showing how to download the app. Very disappointed with the app.

For the most part they offer competitive rates. My issue with them is their unwillingness to try to help someone financially by still charging the 50$ per policy for NSF. Even if contacted prior to the attempted withdrawal.
