when it first came out I loved the free version however over time every option which used to be free now requires a subscription! For those who used the app for one specific purpose usually could care less about enhancements only a subscriber would care about such things. so by using the "subscription" model penalizes those who could care less about more bells and whistles
Stopped working after update. I've been using this app for several years and paid for the premium membership. absolutely gutted it doesn't work anymore because I loved the design and ease of the app. hopefully it works again one day but unfortunately I will be uninstalling.

I have been using this app for years to sleep. a few days ago I went to play the rain mix ive been using for close to 10 years and both of the sounds I used are now behind a pay wall. There are only a handful of sounds available on the free version. Make us watch a few unskippable ads or something before we start using the app and stop taking away features loyal users have been using for years. I'm very sad to be leaving this app.

I can't seem to find the free part of the "free" app. It won't even let you try it without subscribing to the $60 fee. You only get 7 days to try it and I'm sure they're hoping that you will forget to cancel before they charge you. They might as well charge you up front instead of leading you on.

I didnt even get to experience the app. It wants my credit card information just to try the app free for a few days, then would automatically charge me $49.99 for annual subscription. NO! That alone proves this app doesnt help with stress level or with falling asleep.
Its free. Simple little app no ads to listen to music and plays simple sounds to get me to sleep and keep me there. I just wish my volume wouldn't change when it's not on screen. I can change a music to play and when I scroll down it turns itself off. Will go back to 5 when the developers fix. now they took away all music except a couple sounds unless you pay. there used to be only a few sounds behind a pay wall. don't use this app any more.

if it was free, I'd rate it 3 stars because it shuts off almost every night. but since they decided to charge you a ridiculous $59 yearly fee, it's absolutely a garbage app that is getting deleted.

I feel like I was scammed. I installed the App today and took the 7 Days Trial Period. When I was about to go to bed it seems like the Trial Period is over and now I have to pay for all functions. I didn't even have the App for 12 Hours. Not only couldn't I try this app at all, I would have to expect at this point that the paid twelve month would run out earlier too.
went from 5 star to 1 star. I had several saved mixes that I can no longer access, thanks to an update that now you have to pay for almost all of the sounds. There used to be a lot of free weather sounds. There are now 2 out of 20. Guess it's uninstall time.
I've been using the free version for 8 YEARS and it's the only thing Ive been able to use to go to bed and I was content. using just the mix I made and recommending this app to anyone who needed white noise to sleep like me. changing the whole app to be behind a year subscription paywall OVERNIGHT WHILE I AM SLEEPING is crazy y'all are the biblical definition of a greedy money hungry soulless corporation. you are EVIL AND GREEDY!!!!
so I guess because they changed their policies the plan thay I paid for is no longer valid... nice to see my money has been wasted... this app use to be lovely but now has become either pay them or the app is useless... I'd give them 0 stars if I could... now I have to find a new sound app.... not impressed what so ever...
don't like payment
This app started out amazing back when if was a simple, easy to use app that went my the name "Sleep Sounds". it has gotten progressively worse with each update. I've had this app for over five years. Don't bother downloading it, the other FREE apps are less cluttered, have less permission requirements, and don't stick up nearly as much of your phone's resources. I spend more and more time just trying to find the mix I created to use every time I open the app. The enshtificaton continues..

I wanted to give it a try for a week. Didn't really use it and attempted to cancel. Every option took me to the same place, an annual renewal for 39.99. No apparent way to confirm a cancel. n
Really disappointed in what this app has become. Before these recent updates, you'd have access to a fairly large amount of their sound catalogue to make various different mixes that would fit your mood at the time, I wanna say at most 50% was accessible without paying a dime. Now you literally have <1% access unless you subscribe to a yearly fee. This app went from something I'd love to use every night to help me sleep, to becoming cash-grabbing slopware. Bring back the free sounds!

Considering how many things this app offers it seems ridiculous to put 99% of just the sleep sounds behind a pay wall. It used to be better before. Seems unnecessarily greedy like everything else these days. So disappointing.
I remember when you had access to everything and this app was nice and simple now everything is behind a pay wall. I can't listen to any of the music mixes I've been using for years to help me and its awful. This went from a nice helpful app to another "give me money for something you used to have for free" kind of app. Edit Three Months later- I just gets worse and worse.

Got through the basic questions immediately after downloading it and you can only use this with a subscription. No thanks, everything else on the planet has a subscription so I'm not paying monthly for a noise app. This is pathetic tbh, are there really no apps out there today that have no subscription or isn't completely neutered if it's "free"?

Couldn't figure it out. I'm not about to PAY for an app. Especially when I haven't even heard the sounds yet. Sleep is very important, yes, but so is wasting money. I can't even figure out where the "enter" key is! What key do I touch next?!!!

$59.99 for a year subscription is crazy. loads of unnecessary questions and data collection before you can even use the app.
Downloaded to find just about everything is under a pay wall. Why pay when you can get the same sounds from youtube for free.

They got me. $60 for the year before I canceled my 3 day free trial. Its not a bad app but it still feels greasy as hell to immediately jump to an annual sub from a free trial, especially one that lasts bit 3 days. Be better.
