I literally haven’t made a single friend because everyone has their notifications off to keep them from being blown up with group messages.
Mandating Veriff, a company known for its security breaches and ai facial scanning (ew????) is so trash. maybe it's a good app. idk. be aware you're required to upload your face to a shady company before you sign up.
EDIT: PUT THE OLD APP BACK! The new app sucks. I live in Chicago and can only see like 5 people at once? In the whole city? STUPID. I'd much rather swipe right or left. I don't want to have to doom scroll through pictures. I can't make any matches because they aren't there. The first app was a lot easier to match and now I won't have any matches because they disappear. I've waved to idk how many people and nothing has happened. Do they even see the wave? This wasn't an issue in the other app.
The app says it's used for everyone but when I put my birth of date it said "18 and older" then what's the point of putting "Everyone" you should've put 18+
The people will harrass you, mostly ones you have never spoke to, 99% of groups are girl only (so much for equality, ladies haha) and they dont even take action against some of the most selfishly dumb acts I have ever witnessed. I can't even be sarcastic, do your own self a favor and never try it out lol
wish I could use the app but you can't connect with people unless you verify your identity with some sketchy 3rd party company

lack of communication from support team and too many spam accounts. some good friendships but there are better apps
This is awful. There are never any friends, somehow I manage to go thru the whole list of "one person". The old one didn't have this issue.
Where is the algorithm? I installed this app under the impression that I tell it I like nerdy, niche stuff, and then it shows me like-minded people who like the same geeky stuff. I'm certain that all these profiles I'm seeing of sporty coffee girls are the profiles that get the most engagement, NOT the profiles catered to who I would reasonably be friends with. I'm very disappointed that I wasted time fine-tuning my profile just to be let down like this. Would not recommend.
I do have 1 amazing friend from here but the others were fake and the app kicked me out please fix
can't even get past the screen where you enter the phone code to create an account. I've tried for weeks now and it continues to get stuck at the same point. so I can t even create an account or login. It worked perfectly fine before this "new" app was created. I give one star bc zero isn't possible.
Doesn't show "feed". It gets stuck looking for my location even though I gave permission. I can't do anything with it.
New app (that they forced everyone to) is terrible. You cant remove people from your list outside of blocking them. You're no longer able to filter on the things that matter. They had something good going and decided to throw it in the trash and grab something that belong in the bin instead.
I joined to meet friends, but I have to be invited by a FRIEND or group in order for the app to work...Imagine that. No point in keeping it on my phone.

it's a mess of an app and it expects the users to handle everything. might as well just use Facebook which has been around forever.

Update: I deleted my account. this app version is absolutely useless. Please bring back the old version. Was forced to switch to this app after a hiatus and couldnt log into my existing account, so I had to start over. The new layout is a huge downgrade. Profiles are basically useless now. Photo prompts dont tell you who someone is, and there are no real filters for age, distance, interests, or what people are even looking for. The old version made it easier to connect.
"something went wrong, please try again" after entering the verification phone for my number. I can't use the app. I tried reinstalling the app and retrying several times over the course of months and get the same thing.
the worst compared to the old one edit: I've done that but would like to know why I can now no longer change any of my photos. God how hard is it to make a functional app
will change review when they fix the bugs. profiles, not just mine, are grayed out and its been days since it started. 04.8.26 issue not resolved. was emailed saying bug was fixed. it was not.

EDIT: 4/5/26 Rant: This has bcme such a dull app.. no one is consistent, not enough diversity & now the pix on my profile had to be replaced bcz they werent showing up. havent made any lasting connection bcz everyone keeps uninstalling the app. EDIT: BFF brought back age & location sliders which is great, but now when i get app the feed/timeline isnt working. idk if its down? i see alot of potential for this app, i hope to see it improve soon.. EDIT (4/5/26) rant w/ what is happening.
Photos won't load, hard to connect when you can't see anyone. The new version of the app is horrible. Bring back the old version! I will be deleting my account and this horrible app.
They made this app invite-only so I can't sign up. Said it's because they want to expand the community...so obviously a lie. Very rude.
When you're waiting for a code🥺😱🤨🧐 to come to you by the notification bar and my phone is pretty good at doing that and this app failed to send the code number four digit to my phone. That's what you call it dysfunctional design software app It gave me nothing No signal no code number whoever designed this app Should be fired Give up their career This is no way to troubleshoot a problem Very disheartening sad stupid troublesome disgraceful problem that's why you're getting a Rating of 1Star
this app has become a nightmare. very controlling and only gives you so many people to see. I don't know why they separated from the dating part of it. it was very convenient. considering deleting it.

Most recent update caused an issue where profile photos do not appear for others (as in, I can see their photos). In general, this app is extremely buggy and have to force close out of it often to fix it.
Filtering is broken. Photo verification AI is broken. Uploading images is broken. The only thing that seems to work is the fact the app exists.
Please bring the old app back!! :( With the old one it was so easy and comfortable to make connections. I just wish the old app will be back someday. Edit: If the filter of language comes back it'll become 100% better!
Yeah, this app is a huge no for me. If you're a guy, you can only see other guys, and vice versa. Men and Women should be featured if this is all about making friends. Men and Women can be platonic with each other.
unusable. Tried getting my main photo verified, it's a CLEAR photo of my face. It keeps saying it can't verify it, I dont have any other good photo of myself that's clear enough for it. please help.

TERRIBLE. You know the phrase "if it's not broken, don't fix it" well... this app ignored that and completely ruined bumble bff..... I can't even figure out how it works anymore......... edit - your new features SUCK. I've had the app since November 2025 and deleted it March 2026 ZERO MATCHES. THIS APP IS GARBAGE

It's less than a 10% chance anyone will actually show up in the recommended. Theres plenty of people, but no ones' profile even pops up. Doesn't matter if you change location, age preference, uninstall and re-download. No one shows up.
I had to request a deletion of my account. You cannot delete without developer intervention. There were four people on there in my area.
The app's automated policies for flagging content is severely misguided and I guarantee the parent company will find themselves in legal trouble at some point. "This file was removed for violating Geneva's content policy" A gym workout group for people to share technique and personal growth. Fully clothed progress photos removed. Isn't that anti body positivity? It's supposed to be about community but the app's policies go against core principles. It's time for Geneva to ask, "who are we?".

Update: still sucks Men are still coming through on this version. They set their gender as "woman" and will even say they're a man in their bio. They can't resist invading spaces for women only and something needs to be done about them. Banning their IP address would be ideal but no one seems to care. The "near," "far," and "wherever" location options are annoying. A mileage option would be so much better. I can't seem to get anyone off the feed unless I block them so my block list is enormous.
