It used to be a great app, but now it doesn't anymore. It deleted all of my music folder when I was fixing album and artist covers. This mistake is unacceptable, it could've deleted other folders too, who knows, I don't feel safe using it anymore. The other things I hate about it is that it sometimes corrupts new music I add to it and that I can't edit files or delete them straight from the app if they exist on SD card. what a shame honestly..
Music stops working playing after a while
I get blasted at full volume everytime I open the EQ with no way to turn it down but to go back to tracks list.
Used to love this app, it was the only music app I used but now it won't even open! tried reinstalling with no luck!

Just added 2 songs to the music library, yet neither had the album art when I clearly pasted them on my laptop's iTunes beforehand. FIX THIS NOW!!!!!! This ain't the first time, by the way!!!

I bought the paid version at some point. I've stopped using BlackPlayer EX. I don't remember why, but something has to have changed that made BlackPlayer suck. I now use Musicolet full-time.
Music suddenly stops then plays another song randomly, overlapping the current one. It was never like this before the update.

Update: Still plays music randomly. Still completely useless. Looks like Im gonna find a new permanent app. I had this app for a decade and loved it. The most recent update ruined it. The app now plays a song randomly and will not be shut off. Even in the middle of a phone call, it plays and will not be stopped. I HAD to delete it. Im currently shopping a new player. very disappointing.
It was the best music player ever. I NEVER pay for apps but this one was worth it. Now there are so many problems that aren't getting fixed. In fact its been years with no fix. I am looking for a new app until the developers decide to do something about the endless issues.
I used to adore this app, but it's become bloated and useless. What's the point of a music player that doesnt play music? I kept waiting for an update that fixed these issues but I've given up. The music player built in to my phone works better at this point.

Before this I buy this only RM1, why my history payment say RM3?, I don't care if you wanna up that for other's example promotion whatsapp before at iPhone user for who faster seen that promotion got free download for 1 week, but if you use that method, are you sure that can give my home town country increase currency?. There's a lot to like in its vast range of options and themes, but only some of those themes are attractive and well laid out. Some are even buggy, as are some UI elements and certain combinations of settings. Now the latest version has stopped playing many of my recent files. Time to look elsewhere.

The app occasionally reverts to a previous play queue seemingly at random even with battery optimizations turned off.
I'm happy to see a new update! Only one thing is preventing me from leaving 5* When playing my songs they all have different colors that aren't showing up when playing the song. It only shows the color of the first song from an album or EP. So where as the first song is grey, the second song will be orange yet only grey shows up. I hope this can be fixed! Had to downgrade! Now all my songs don't download so I have to reinstall multiple times and don't have the time or patience for this.

no updates. very buggy
Custom library doesn't detect anything I put on the external SD except for a few random tracks. Also, some M4A files don't play, for some reason... The sole and only necessary reason to use this app was customisation, but now it isn't working anymore. Works if I stick to what I put on my phone's internal memory, but this shouldn't be a problem in the first place.
I had this app for YEARS. as predatory as purchases are for mobile apps, I have never paid for an app for my phone until I gave this a try a while back and for the first app I paid for a full version for I was not let down. Now, as of a few days of revisiting the player I am suddenly unable to play certain files, tracks in general, and get errors upon loading the track. I don't know what happened over time but I'd hate to move on to another player but... now I'm on the search.
So, the playing 2 songs simultaniously issue is fixed but the balance is broken. Adjusting the left channel changes the volume in both ears, the right channel does nothing!
this was my go to app for years until the updated and now some of my music will not play especially the newer songs funny the music works on every other music app that I have thank you
New update has very buggy playing. Some separate track is playing on its own, while the track SHOWN in "Now Playing" (as well as in phone's control center) is not actually playing. That was Nov 11. 2025-11-17 update: randomly stops playing music when out of app or screen is off. if track is changed, previous track sometimes plays in between (many milliseconds interweaved with the intended track)
since the update, various problems have arisen. please patch it
