Cameras are not open source (cannot use with home server security systems: cloud-only options thru Amazon's Blink cloud). No Amazon Prime discount for Blink cloud service. Waste of money, not as advertised.

June 19th version of the app - sign in button not working on Android, on iOS the scheduler does not have until when the alarm should be scheduled. it has only start to schedule the alarm.
I keep having to reset it!
bought a new camera and sync module to use outside as old camera malfunctioned. But new is worse than old, so I swap another old camera from inside house to outside and do all the app settings, basically swapping inside/outside devices. Now I have to endure a notification that I have added a device and about my free cloud storage every time I move about in the app..........cameras fail, app a pain.... 🤬
probably the worst camera system on the market If you want to get some function back you need to not update the app, block all communication to the AWS servers and unlink the system from amazon Don't let blink which is same ower of ring, force down any new firmware. It seems like the updates are designed to brick the non sub cameras to get people to buy more or force them to pay subscription Certainly not a system to use for true security, more of a pet rock that just kinda lays theee
sense the latest update I'm getting alot of oops messages. The delay in notification is sometimes 1 hour or more when someone comes to my door. A paid prescription should work as expected. Seriously will be changing companies.
update was required when attempting to load the update it's no longer compatible with my tablet you guys really do SUCK
camera never stays online even though I've followed all the requirements and had a camera replaced. ive reset and contacted customer service and when they troubleshoot it doesn't last 1 day and I never gave wifi issues with any other devices in my homes I dont not recommend this product
I used to love this camera. now it doesn't give a notification at all. I depend on notifications when my cats are at the front or back door, especially at night when the coyotes are out. now blink gives out flimsy fixes that do not work. just fix the damn camera so the notifications work. do the new outdoor blinks work? dont know, don't care. going to do a Google search for cameras better than blink. probably 50 of them.
only captures side to side motion. If you have a straight driveway, if someone is walking directly towards the camera it doesn't pick them up, it's completely useless unless fitted at an angle which is not possible for some homes. If you set up a motion area, reflections set it off which means 100+ false motion notifications which can become very annoying. Much better cameras out there for less money

all I get is "OOPS SOMETHING WENT WRONG". Every time I open a video from my notifications. this app is awful. so many other problems I don't know where to start. the cameras are great so I put up with junky software. go try and delete some of your videos but not all and let me know how much the app crashes. go select a certain date and it will show you videos from the day previous. yeah, even the date is wrong. no QC department? hire me, I will fix it for the right price.
setup is ridiculously incompetent. They don't ask for wifi info and I had to enter and delete many times to find directions for to 2K + it's very possible this is a warning sign that I need to address. Return on mínd
Notifications are always late. The live view takes forever to load. I'll never purchase anything from them again.

Tried every possible troubleshooting step to connect the stupid camera to WiFi and could not.
This recent update REMOVED the sound from the videos and instead they are SPYING ON US! The MICROPHONE turns on when you watch a video now!!! FIX IT, CREEPS!!!!
it's slow on catching movements outside
live view is terrible
not user friendly at all, nothing is synced together, even after upgrading and installing a different module and having to buy a recommended flashdrive. I'm about to return everything.
Grandfathered in to free cloud storage. Complete garbage now. XR system rarely works. maybe 150 feet at best. System connects 60% of the time. I am testing a reolink system 100% better. I probably won't buy any more blink cameras!!! Tech support sucks. I never know if they fix something. I just got a ticket closed. Their videos are all hyped up. Fake results. Blink, pay your people more money and get a real support team. Original blink system was good. Not anymore.
Not sure why pause notification doesn't work anymore. When you get a notification, there is an option to pause them. This no longer works at all. So now, you have to open the app, open the cameras, then snooze the camera or cameras you want for only up to 4 hours. You have to pay a subscription to snooze longer than that or for a time that isn't preset. Kinda absurd to charge for that let alone that the function doesn't even work anymore
clunky and slow! it keeps failing over and over and over to pair each and every camera. taking absolutely forever, waiting 5mins at a time for it to tell me it failed, incredibly frustrating.
I have a s8 active android. " update" says I'm not compatible anymore = so. this app/ product Sucks
The cameras were working fine but now they suddenly don't give video when motion activated but rather just show a gray screen. I tried to contact customer support and after 45 minutes of dealing with a both AI generated chat and phone call I finally got a real person, but the phone call then disconnected after 5 minutes and they never called me back. Blink's customer service is utter trash and so are their cameras.
the camera system lags it mediocre at best and these people want to charge a monthly subscription. that is way overpriced for what?? I asked to return so i could buy another one from a company that not going to scam like this.. most doorbell camera are free and if you want go pay to upgrade them fine. i do not recommend this brand to anyone and I will be replacing it. what a waste of money
logs you out even though you didn't sign yourself out. also cannot record videos unless you're subscribed for a monthly service. when you update cameras images won't update unless you do it twice.
sucks buy different camera
It doesn't connect to the cameras sometimes for no reason, spins forever, it notifies movements but it doesn't record. Using local storage. WiFi signal very strong throughout, using mesh. I regret buying blink cameras
live view has not worked correctly for the past week. it's not my phine, wi-fi or anything on my end. it just doesn't work and happes the same time everyday.
Yhe fact that you log me out of my account in a month is ridiculous. The app is hot garbage. Need to reverse engineer the protocol and open source it. Blink is awful.
3 days ago my whole system crashed- 2 sync modules & 7 cameras. finally Uninstalled blink app due to it not responding at all - when I reinstalled it on my phone EVERY SINGLE app & even my google password chain deleted information and signed me out or quit working. they say it's your internet, but failed to realize I have a differen, wifii only, phone checking on internet and apps already. I tried to explain there may be a virus in the blink app. HE SAID JUST DOWNLOAD ON OTHER PHONE! No No No!
A camera can have dead batteries for a good 24 hours before the status changes from "battery OK". I don't appreciate being at work and wondering why it's noon and there has been zero activity since the night before. Even after refreshing in settings multiple times. It would be nice to know when the batteries are low so they can be changed before they actually die instead of long after!
App update logged me out and doesn't allow log in with saved password. Web doesn't support password reset and the app fails. So the camera is out of reach.
The fact that you cannot turn on individual cameras is annoying. Most of the time I only want one camera to notify me but I must turn them all on. I would also like to be able to schedule time blocks where the cameras turn on/off automatically or schedule notification windows so I only get notifications for activity during certain hours or let me schedule snooze hours.
why are you charging more money for basic features like a picture in the notification bar. or a description of the video. doorbell with no subscriptions can do this. or just make your own doorbell. really bad company. now your expensive rubbish just says. oops oops oops

truly the worst camera on the market. ive called, spoken & went thru all direction & cameras still fail to record. Never will buy again. when my sub expires, I'm throwing them away after I break them!! ugh!
cameras are always offline, support has hung up on me
the app is completely horrid. You might get a notification seconds before someone comes in the door. you can't live view anything in a timely manner, so hope you don't have any emergencies ever. Unexpected vehicles or people around your house? they'll be at your door before the first alarm shows up. i will be switching to a more reliable service ASAP and strongly recommend you don't use these if you can help it. it's frustrating to pay good money for such dreadful quality.
Added a new device but didn't get free time? Speaking of time, times of events when not on subscription are off. one camera said 11:10 am today when no one was there until 11:15 am.
Cameras consistently don't record. I can have them sitting 3' from my modem AND the Module and if there's not "a problem refreshing the thumbnail" it loads a picture from a week prior !!?? (while I'm standing in front of it) Customer service is impossible to actually speak to. When I did get a person, they just keep saying my modem is the problem.

I can't even go to support to get help it keeps going back to the app and won't let me do nothing on it won't let me see the subscription plans at all I wish I had never gotten a blink doorbell because they're stupid
Terrible. Doesn't record to local storage. Equipped thumb drive corrupts. Doorbell cam will not work as advertised. Will not accept existing Doorbell chime or electricity even though supposedly compatible. If you delet a cam for any reason, you have to make an entire new account to usu it again.
