Bunq used to be great, but in the last year has significantly reduced features in it's free/cheap plans. Additionally, you get no warning when you're about to create a subaccount or card that puts you over your plans limit or you activate other features that aren't included in your plan, instead just charging you 20€+ in next months invoice. Revolut has a lot more free features. Edit: March 2024, Another price increase, another star dropped. Edit 2026: GAMBLING IN MY BANKING APP ????

AI is psychotic update: developer's reply is factually untrue and I was unable to get through to an actual human until the moment I asked my account to be deleted and a month later finally received my requested personal data. I have about thirty emails back and forth where I say I cannot log in when I want to submit the information they request, followed by a bot answering me that I should enter the information after signing in. Repeated requests for confirmation of their humanity were ignored.

This bank ain't it. They ask very personal questions while trying to sign up for an account, under the pretence of safety, and privacy law and regulations. Claiming other banks do the same, while my experience with signing up at other banks was clearly not the same, but way better without the personal questions which are none of their business. Since you are a bank, you should know to separate business from too personal things.

False information while purchasing crypto from bunq app, final price cost are hidden, as I found myself with extra hidden cost when purchasing, the issue is that when you ultimate you crypto purchase they don't include the spread, spoke to their costumer service show them pics but they didn't listen, transparency must be the minimum standard for a bank app.

I tried to open an account yesterday, and after tapping "GET BUNQ FOR ME" during sign-up, the next screen loaded completely blank/dark with only a blue progress bar at the top. The same thing happened even with all the other sign-up options. I tried clearing the app cache/data, reinstalling the app, restarting my phone, using Wi-Fi and mobile data, and ensuring no VPN was active. My device is also running on the Samsung latest 1UI 8.5. I toggled dark mode off, and none of these actions resolved.

The app is good, but I'd love to customize my experience. I'm not interested in cryptos and I have my investings somewhere else. I use bunq instead for payments, interest in savings, joint account with my gf and some other useful things. I wish the app allowed to hide all of these services I don't use and for it to stop spamming me with things I could invest on. For the rest, it's really great!! :) Edit: having to pay a subscription to use a physical card? no way

The bank is fine for basic banking. However don't bother with the business version. you get the core package, and if you try to do anything inside the app, itll force you to a marketing page you can't skip to get into a higher version. don't bother going to the helpdesk, since you'll get an AI that hallucinates answers to you. Good tip - maybe add a "Skip" button to your sketchy market pushes for higher subscriptions, or at least update your tools to say "you need the higher subscription"

Under no circumstance should you open a business account. Before opening I reached out via Mail to ask whether they would work with me and the use case. The answer was yes. It took 5+ days to create a business account. Instead of asking for all information at once they spammed me over the span of 5 days to provide more information and documents. Promised a 5-minute setup. Many days later I was still being asked for new and new documents every 48 hours with zero explanation. Chat support kept crashing. I gave up and asked them to delete my data. Honestly relieved it fell apart before I handed them any money. A bank that can't handle basic onboarding with app that keeps crashing has no business holding anyone's savings. Make your life easier and avoid them.

With a welcoming casback promise with AH I thought I'd see if Bunq was a good alternative for my current bank. It's not. They use the cashback to get you to open an account, but when it's time to pay out, Support goes "Sorry, no, you followed all the steps but don't qualify because something went wrong". I was warned, and I should have listened. Staying with my current bank and deleting Bunq permanently.

When you finally do, you beg them to deal with your issue, but they fling you back to the chatbot without a word. Update: - You do not need me to explain this again via email. their direction changed, UX keeps changing, feels their innovated on the wrong areas, simple, fast, working were the core of their marketing. now their UX changes too much. functions that uses to be a click away for an overview, became hidden under 6 pages, almost on purpose. I used to recommend them a lot, until they changed what was important. the freaking bubble/card homescreen. anyways, I am changing banks, I do not wish to continue paying bunq pro. too expensive for barley usable features

LATEST EDIT: Knocking back to 2*. search function is absolutely awful. search->put in pincode->results disappear->search and enter pin code again->click "access more"->results disappear again->repeat. Incredibly frustrating. Accounting also isn't working currently. Previous edit: Improving from 1* to 3*. Finally an update that simplifies the landing page, removes unnecessary info and widgets. Just keep making the app as simple and functional as possible and people will use it.
