doesnt support transfer RAW files to android. only for ios. What a bummer 💩

Signing in is now required for use - there is absolutely NO need for this. Uninstalled the app

took forever to transfer images or videos and it often refuses to connect to the phone
Need Chrome to login!?
If you want your pictures to only ever exist on your canon camera, canon is the best choice. If you want to wirelessly send to a phone, pretend you love in 1970 and it doesn't exist. That is what the developers of this app have made. Sheer and utter incompetence. Connecting is successful 1 out of 1000 times. And if you're lucky a ough to get it to connect it will transfer images to your device like it was manually painting it pixel by pixel. I made a huge mistake upgrading to another canon.

Constant connection issues. Software seems more focused on making me accept Terms and Conditions every time I open it. Maybe don't solicit a rating for your software while it's in the middle of glitching.

what is wrong with you people? this app was working well before update! I was forced to update and now bluetooth wont connect. No location info on wifi? why?!? isn't wifi supposed to be better than bt???
You need the Chrome app to be able to use this app.

Useless camera app ever
I stopped using the app since it requires an authentication. Completely stupid decision from Canon. How would I connect to the camera in the middle of the desert, if the previous authentication expires and I am logged out? I don't understand why such an app would need auth at all? No added value, no benefits, just the tracking and the ads.
you can not transfer photos from the camera without creating canon account. absolutely unusable. get alternative app.
New update requires loads of information sharing and an account.
they removed the option to download the raw images from the camera it used to have to another app that runs on a $8 monthly subscription, can still be used as a trigger thats but its not worth more than that, also the connection now is even more buggy
Couldn't import photos to my phone from my M100 camera.
logged me out and now requires chrome to sign in. I'm never installing chrome and exclusively use Firefox and sometimes brave.
I really don't understand why you need me to create an account just to transfer my images. This was not the case in the past and it's infuriating that all companies continue to be invasive.
Suddenly stopped working, Tuesday June 16 2026. I connect my camera and phone to the same WiFi, app still says "Detects the camera when connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the camera" (lie). I use the Camera Access Point Mode to make the phone emit its own wireless SSID, my app literally shows I'm connected to the network "RKT's Canon", and my phone still says it's waiting for the camera to connect to the same network as it. The app is waiting for my camera to connect to itself. What the hell
I cant believe how much this app has degraded over time. Thanks for the corporate slop Canon super cool. I would pay money to go back to the old version not requiring my information.

Requires online account just to download photos from my camera
Won't let me sign in unless I have a chromium browser, this isn't make clear on Canon web site or in the Google Play Store. Removing choices from end users gets you a 1 star.
Useless. Used to be a great app but seems to have been updated and now wont connect via any WiFi. Just gets stuck in the connecting phase. A massive shame and not good enough from Canon
Why do I need an account to get photos off the camera I purchased...

when it works it's fine, but the app is glitchy, used to be able to use the touch to connect feature which worked great, thwn an update was required (camera was locked without it) and has not worked since (about 3 years) the wifi connection quite frankly sucks, and can take 20 odd tries to even connect even when wifi is strong. customer service is barely existant and of absolutely no help at all.
