there's an offset between where I tap and where a square is selected very annoying and makes the game basically unplayable
Needs multiplayer. The board game is 1-100 players but online app is solo! It would be much better if devs created multiplayer or way to invite friends to game, especially for a paid game. Also you need to buy extra expansions to play the weekly challenge. BS for such a good board game. Would give 0 stars if I could.
To me this is just a lazy app. Not finely polished; both the app and ads stretch and don't fit responsively to the mobile screen; no music except sound effect; menu and the whole experience feels low budget and half baked. Customer service isn't responsive. Once you buy you lose your money. Utterly Disappointed!

I'm a huge fan of Cartographers but this implementation is so buggy as to be unplayable. Button presses are simply not recorded, or only a portion of a button is pressable. This is all the worse because this is the only digital implementation of the game I've seen where placing a land requires pressing each square separately.
There's a problem with this game on my Android Galaxy where the graphics on the bottom of the screen are covered by my lower menu bar. There are no options adjust the size of the screen, or to put my lower menu bar in hidden mode, like most apps allow for.
Buggy to the point i can't even install it anymore. To reply on a lie that dev replied for this review: it's a samsung phone with latest updates to android 13. Don't blame your failures on my phone.
Every game the situation comes up where I can draw the shape but the game forces a single square on me as if there's no place to put the card's shape. Also, I've completed some of the badges several times but they stay gray. I'm bummed because I paid for expansion as well. Sucks. Love the box version.
Paid and then had in app adverts. No. Either or, not both.... Refunding
Limited tutorial Disappointing UI
A paid app with paid dlc that is also now getting ads after the refund window is closed. Absolutely shameful, go elsewhere.
The UI bugs are one thing. But when I tried to play it today, it said "This week the game mode is only playable with the expansion", which, of course, needs to be bought separately. Are you kidding me? I already paid for the base game and now it won't let me play? LOL, greedy bastards.
Great game, app fails It locks up at the end of Spring (round 1). Very disappointed.
Very disappointing. This is a SOLO MODE ONLY app. Good to learn the mechanics of the game but not much else. As others have said, there are a lot of missed opportunities: - No multiplayer. - No AI player. - No pass and play. - No expansions. Here's hoping that these will be implemented at some time in the future. Until then, I'll stick with the one star review.
No button to close the app. No ability to zoom in on round cards (although you can zoom in on the scoring objectives), and locked up during the tutorial. If you're only ever going to play this on a tablet, it might be fine, but if you're planning to play on a phone, even a fairly large one, you damn well better already know what every card is.

Bought this to play with my partner, but the multiplayer is weekly leaderboard only. Accidentally added a dumb name, there is no rename option. Does not save my scores, or let me look at previous game maps to even compare scores with my partner. Various graphical issues that make things hard to read. Needs some polish and local multiplayer
Game play is great. But what is the point if the app won't track games played and scores and such. I played 4 games and it says I played zero. It's not logging any achievements. I payed money for this app and it doesn't work fully.
Was fun, but now runs super slow, even with animation speed on fast. No longer playable, which makes me mad since I paid for the app and the expansion. :(
The UI is cut on the lower edge on my Pixel 6 pro.
Unfortunately pretty buggy. My previously played games don't ever end up in the highscore area. Clicking on the scoring cards to check their descriptions sometimes ends with the description freezing on my screen and not leaving, making it so I'm unable to click anywhere else or place tiles and I have to close out of the app and start the game over. That said, it is still fun to play just for the sake of playing, but I do wish there was a pass and play version.
The game is fun! The app unfortunately does nothing to show how fun the game is. It is hard to navigate and after playing a game, you see your score, but you have no reference of how good it was.. There's no way to track your personal best.. Also, you can't play with other people directly, only compete in a daily game.
The game is good but the app is a hot mess. Too many bugs.
Solo only - no AI - no pass n play, no multiplayer
Scratches the itch for me but app is buggy. It never keeps my email linked and so my game scores are not recorded. Very sad
Seemed good at first but halfway through every game, I would have a new card and shape to layout, but could not get any squares to select. Uninstalled.
Wait, this doesn't allow you to play against friends? What's the point? Please implement multiplayer.
The app is really buggy. I've played a yellow game twice. Gotten a high score and had it put my score into the red leaderboards. Annoying I would have had first last week in yellow
I can't seem to figure out how to register my email within the app to unlock 2 out of the 3 game modes. This is pretty terrible ux/ui design. I feel like I wasted 2/3 of my money.
