Why do I need 2fa for a movie app ... this should be optional. will not be using the app until this requirement is removed.
Got the rating for the backrooms movie wrong. It said it was rated 14+. It's rated R. Could've traumatized my 14 year old brother.

Asking for 2 step verification for a movie ticket is completely ridiculous, I deleted the app and will go to imagine theatres or buy a bigger TV.

Worst app ever. Try to order concessions and instead of linking it to the theater you already bought tickets in, it takes you right to the checkout, then asks you if you want to add the order to the upcoming movie, you click yes, then it brings you back to your cart to make you checkout all over again, once you're done, it then asks you to select a theater, then it brings you back to your cart to check out yet again. it's a never ending loop. whoever created this app should be fired.
Here, on a vacation from USA. Requires signing-up for simple ticket price inquiries... via website & app. Required secondary "security verification" of a ph#, which will not let you advance, if you choose to decline or cancel adding ph#. A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME!! Uninstalled app and it's still difficult to unsubscribe from initial sign-up. Showtimes & theater info are easier to access, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to call for pricing. Edit: Avoid calling! Just an automated runaround with no price info.

When I go to purchase tickets, why do I get a popup indicating "Movie lovers prefer our app" - directing me to install the app - when I'm in the (fully updated) app?? This app is also exceptionally slow on a new flagship Samsung phone, and uses significantly more data than should be necessary. Happy to rewrite this app to be functional if Cineplex is interested, lol.
App signed me out, have had my account for years. Can't sign in again, can't reset password. customer service won't help. ridiculous, guess I'm done going to the movies..

forcing people to set up 2 step and not having optional. also cannot pick which Gmail to use it decided for you... if set up is this annoying I am excited to see how better it gets.
deals & offers: learn more: does not tell you any more details just brings you to mobile ordering page. scene card# doesn't show, so is unless at partners such as east side marios as they will not scan the barcode.

When adding a ticket to Google Wallet, there's a 50/50 chance it'll say "Movie Ticket" instead of the name of the movie, and a 100% chance the ticket won't go to the top of the wallet list on the date of the ticket.
Terrible app....great for seeing what is playing but I have tried order tickets on here MULTIPLE TIMES on different occasions as I can redeem scene points on here and it has never allowed me to ONCE
everything on Google play needs to be general or parental guidance this is unacceptable
Why is there an extra fee to book online. Shouldn't it be cheaper since there is less labour involved? Seems like a rip-off to me.

Had to change dates on my tickets due to illness (I'm well outside the 2 hour window, wanted the refund to go back on the original card, and would have immediately booked again for another date). Self serve refunds are only available in the app and not online for some reason... hmm. The app failed to process the transaction without saying why. Now I get to waste more of my time and the help staffs' time and call in for a refund. Disappointed in the system and probably won't rebook now.
2026/03/30- i checked it to see if it would be worth using. still garbage. oh ya and there is an online fee for tickets. absolutely ridiculous. zero stars for this app and the push to become a monthly member. ill rent movies online. cheaper, better seats, better/cheaper snacks, and i dont have random people talking, using their phones during a film. So much is going on the app crashes. Make it simple. Whoever designed this app has the cognitive ability of a pile of feces.

they changed their subscription service so instead of getting a free ticket with the price of subscription you now get "credits" and if you do the math with your subscription fee and the "credit' cost it still costs the same as buying a movie ticket, then if you think about the 20% off you still have to pay 13% tax so you only get 20% off snacks, all in all no longer worth it to have anymore, writing in app review because they removed the why are you unsubscribing section from the app.
App seems to work fine. But having to pay an additional fee for purchasing your tickets online through the app makes it a no go for me. It's been since before COVID when we went to a movie, guess we'll be waiting a bit longer. Not going to drive for over an hour to see a movie and not get seats we'd like.

For whatever reason in the last year I have not been able to add or change my credit card details making it impossible to even buy tickets in the first place. The cards work fine everywhere else so I know for sure it's not an issue on my end or my bank for that matter.
Screen brightness control over your phone. While in the theatre I went to reduce my screen brightness before the movie started. It said I could not adjust it, as the Cineplex APP was controlling my brightness!! That's way crossing the line. Definitely didn't give it

the app functions well. paying extra for tickets to use it is stupid when it saves them money. customer service is non existent, and even when you do get someone they could care less.
Should have ways to invite your friends after you buy your ticket so you can coordinate seats better.
