this app always glitches, hate it, hate the fact that one must use it to book online and get charged a lot for online booking fees...makes no sense!
forcing people to set up 2 step and not having optional. also cannot pick which Gmail to use it decided for you... if set up is this annoying I am excited to see how better it gets.
deals & offers: learn more: does not tell you any more details just brings you to mobile ordering page. scene card# doesn't show, so is unless at partners such as east side marios as they will not scan the barcode.
horrible experience , just wait for it to come out on Netflix

Why is there an extra fee to book online. Shouldn't it be cheaper since there is less labour involved? Seems like a rip-off to me.
it always says a problem and can't purchase the tickets. tried for 3 days now
Had to change dates on my tickets due to illness (I'm well outside the 2 hour window, wanted the refund to go back on the original card, and would have immediately booked again for another date). Self serve refunds are only available in the app and not online for some reason... hmm. The app failed to process the transaction without saying why. Now I get to waste more of my time and the help staffs' time and call in for a refund. Disappointed in the system and probably won't rebook now.
2026/03/30- i checked it to see if it would be worth using. still garbage. oh ya and there is an online fee for tickets. absolutely ridiculous. zero stars for this app and the push to become a monthly member. ill rent movies online. cheaper, better seats, better/cheaper snacks, and i dont have random people talking, using their phones during a film. So much is going on the app crashes. Make it simple. Whoever designed this app has the cognitive ability of a pile of feces.

they changed their subscription service so instead of getting a free ticket with the price of subscription you now get "credits" and if you do the math with your subscription fee and the "credit' cost it still costs the same as buying a movie ticket, then if you think about the 20% off you still have to pay 13% tax so you only get 20% off snacks, all in all no longer worth it to have anymore, writing in app review because they removed the why are you unsubscribing section from the app.
App seems to work fine. But having to pay an additional fee for purchasing your tickets online through the app makes it a no go for me. It's been since before COVID when we went to a movie, guess we'll be waiting a bit longer. Not going to drive for over an hour to see a movie and not get seats we'd like.

For whatever reason in the last year I have not been able to add or change my credit card details making it impossible to even buy tickets in the first place. The cards work fine everywhere else so I know for sure it's not an issue on my end or my bank for that matter.
Screen brightness control over your phone. While in the theatre I went to reduce my screen brightness before the movie started. It said I could not adjust it, as the Cineplex APP was controlling my brightness!! That's way crossing the line. Definitely didn't give it

The worst app, to go along with the worst website. 45 minutes now, 8 failed attempts, just trying to add my bank card onto my profile. After the app refused my sign in information 3 times!! All I want is two movie tickets. This should not be an hour long process, just to get ZERO results!
This is the worst app ever. This is my benchmark for the worst things ever.
I should give this app ZERO stars because I've literally never been able to even sign into it to buy tickets. Forcing me to buy on their website or app while they are completely non functional is absurd! I guess I will NEVER see a movie with them.
If i can't use the app without doing 2-step verification, i won't use the app. You can sell someone else's data. 2-step verification has locked me out of several accounts over the years.
Worst app experience. I tried to drill down to a movie/time which prompts me to install the app. I install the app, and then I sign in using my Google account, but then it requires me to reset my password, which was previously reset when I was on their website. So, I rest my password. Then it wants me to enter 2FA, which I dismissed but that took me in a loop, so on the second time around, it requires my phone#. That's when I quit.
I updated the ap and it wont open.
payment wouldn't go through several times. the same day I signed up for their account my Outlook email is now trying to logged in multiple times a day. never had this prior to making an account with Cineplex.
They started forcing opt-ins to notifications each time you open the app.
never accepts my payment.

this app is garbage. completely useless. would not let me sign in to purchase tickets no matter how many times I tried because it was demanding updates to my phone and OS that don't exist
The app literally does not work. I am forced to activate two-factor authentication on my phone but it will not even allow me to input my phone number to do so? It returns a blank error and there is no way to delay or do otherwise. attempting 2fa on the website is even worse -- to the person who got three text messages because the interface CHANGED my phone number between input and text out, I'm so sorry.
Tired of asinine password requirements, and now I'm being dinged to purchase tickets through the app. But they want me to pay to become a club member, no thanks. Glad movies are going digital, don't need a 40 ft screen at home.Edit now they charge extra to buy online.
This app is barley functional. It keeps giving me and error message when trying to purchase tickets and also does not always show seat availability and just says there is an error. It made me miss at least 3 different show times so far since I started using this awful app and ruined outings for me. very disappointing.
makes you do a 2 step verification step by phone. I dont own a phone.
worst app ever. code never arrives. 2 min is a joke. greed got the best of them. earlier one could buy the tickets as a guest then "create yoir profile and 2 step authentication took over" you will never recive the code for the 2 step authentication. worse the choice of receiving the code on email is not build in. lesson- go watch movie elsewhere we don't want your business.

Logs out constantly, even minutes later. Garbage. Reset password button also errors out. Infuriating. Edit: login working again. edit2: broken again, black screen.
I haven't been able to buy any tickets for a year now, the only way I can successfully get tickets using the app is if I use our scene points. I'd appreciate getting this bug figured out, as it's very frustrating. The convenience of the app is super great, when it actually works. Yes I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app to no avail.

the app functions well. paying extra for tickets to use it is stupid when it saves them money. customer service is non existent, and even when you do get someone they could care less.
