I have used this for years and loved it. Sadly the new UI is a hot mess. I tried to stick with it to support them, but finally got fed up of having to tap 12x to do every little thing. Sorry guys. edit: dropping to 1 star as dev keeps replying with excuses (it's feature-rich, small team etc.) All the other apps I'm testing have similar feature-richness and 1-2 person teams. The cluttered UX and onerous workflows are bad design decisions and entirely attributable to the dev team.
Buggy app I keep clicking on register but nothing happens

Kind of defeats the purpose of scanning them at that point. I don't have to pay to use my physical book. A one time fee would have been much more reasonable...
every release has a new bug. now grocery lists no longer sync between web version and Android app. I have three lists on web version but they have been erased from the Android app. So app is now worthless for creating a shopping list from the recipe planner. a once great app slowly destroyed.
spent money on an app years ago for a one time purchase just to organize my recipes that I find online now it wants me to spend money for a subscription or shows me ads deleting and never using again
failed to import the first recipe
for 5 great years this app was amazing (2020-2025). After the big update its not user friendly and clucky. I would recommend this app all the time then they changed it to $40 a year if you want more than 20 recipes. Its a cookbook app come on, we have enough subscriptions already it was fine when it was a one time payment but dam $40 a year. I'll be looking for a new app, I only chose this one since the user interface was clean and simple.
This WAS a great app. unfortunately the last update totally ruined it for me. when I try to create a shopping list based on a recipe's ingredient list it randomly drops items from the list. I've tried this numerous times, same results. I've contacted support regarding this but they never got back to me. it's too bad, it was a great app, but after this horrendous update, I'm done with it.
it couldn't delete account. kept repeating only three recipes. one being lemonade.
The sign up is an effing farse! It wants a current password which I don't have. And I deleted my half working sign up. Now I can't use my username again when trying again
I had a lifetime" license for the CookBook app, now it's required me to by a subscription! Yes, I bought your old app and would like to use what I paid for!

can't get nutritional info about recipes without paying, it's literally the only reason I had downloaded the app. uninstalled.
I do not like the new upgrade. its harder to view the recipe as all in one, scrolling down, when before you could scroll left to right like flipping pages. I also an not a fan of the "dark mode" coloring. and small text. wish the old way would come back.
