you can't build a plan unless you pay
I subscribed to this app for a year having previously worked with a coach for training schedules in the previous 12 months, honestly, this app is so limited, I would not recommend, there are a heap of problems with it, too many to type out in this review, I've shared them with Coopah in a recent survey I recieved.
inaccurate and inefficient : more of a tracker that sometimes works (several races done but not uploaded from my Garmin connect) than a planner. it gives an initial plan but is unable to update and adapt based on runs. the"talk to a coach" option is more of a marketing gimmick than a real way of getting advice. I took the free trial and sadly didn't cancel on time
why can I not cancel my subscription?
The variety of workouts during training keeps things interesting, but there are so many technical issues (poor compatibility with devices, glitches when recording with the app) and an indifferent staff that puts the onus of the problems on the user, that it's much too frustrating and disheartening to use. Probably better to spend the extra money and use their more well known competitor.
more internet clogged
until apps like this support Jeffing then they simply won't be as inclusive as they claim
The app fails to load whenever I'm trying to open it after subscribing. So I had to cancel the subscription.
Cumbersome and confusing cancelation process. I feel they make this process difficult on purpose, which resulted in being billed an additional $85 CDN for an account that no longer existed on their platform. Currently trying to get my money back, but receive generic email responses.
constant issues with opening the app - very slow and crashes frequently
app crashes constantly doesn't update times/paces as you improve the weekly report isnt a report. its your clocked mileage. no feedback on effort/progress
Probably give 4 stars for beginners. The workouts seemed reasonable, more flex around available time and would have been nice. Only does plans for the 4 common distances. I wanted a plan for my first ultra. COOPAH ai coach is pretty certain it do that. Just delete your current plan and start a new one selecting the distance of your ultra it says... Off you go todo that, losing all your current goal tweaking. Only to be presented yet again with marathon as longest plan distance available.
I was looking for a cheaper alternative to Runna. I find the speed sessions are all very similar. This just doesn't seem to pull me in in the same way Runna workouts did, I find myself really lacking in any enthusiasm for these speed sessions. Similarly, the S&C workouts just seem to expect a base level of strength without any form of weight training (in these sessions). Week 9 of my 14 week plan and I'm suddenly expected to be doing single leg squats? Sorry what?? Wish I'd paid the extra £20.
The concept of the app is pretty good but my feeling is that the technology isn't quite advanced enough to deliver a tailored running plan. It asks what my last race time was for a distance but there's no way of also saying that the time was 6 years ago before I had kids and was injured. I've had it do two different plans for me. One was overly aggressive and the other would have left me undertrained. The workouts are interesting and I like the idea but the execution is still a few years off.
