Their backend is down and I literally can't use the app without it. Why do apps always demand you sign in and have an internet connection for something that doesn't need either of those things?
They continue their habit of wasting resources into nonsense projects. A few years ago they redesigned their super beautiful app into into sthg ugly that could be called "depressive candybar style", then they tried to gamify it introducing streaks etc. Now they introduced audio logging of food data (doesn't work) and apparently wasted huge efforts into this. All this I would swallow if the app would work flawlessly, but the app is choke full of bugs! Customer wishes are piling up since years!
metric and couldn't change it
very worst scam
This app is fine if you are more concerned with calorie tracking. However, if tracking macros is your main goal, it isn't a convenient tool to help with that. The biggest turn off is that you cannot manually set your calorie target. The app determines your calorie goal based off profile information. I looked up ways to change that and apparently you can but good luck getting that to work out. This is something that should be easy to change--not a puzzle.
So many ads
Absolutely awful, as soon as you pay for it you realise what a huge waste of money this app is. You get nothing from paying from it, it's a broken app which makes you find all the items yourself and figure out everything yourself, it literally does nothing that you can't do yourself with a notepage, calculator and the most basic of nutrition theory. Don't fall for its bs claims it offers nothing at all and just makes it harder to track your weightloss journey making it harder to track.
The stupid app never works it's always loading and never letting me open the app. Happens constantly
it never guessed the food correctly once, it's horrid
Can't read a barcode on any of my products
I type "chik fila chicken sandwhich" and get 0 results? not one guess? as a software engineer I could write a better algorithm on my lunch break. GARBAGE search.
free version unusuable. missing key features, trying to force paid version. also free version isn't free, it's showing loads of ads. uninstalled. Edit: thanks for your answer. well, for starters it's required to add / edit timestamps for meals afterwards. that's not a pro exclusive feature in my opinion.
Functionality is good, but the ads are quite a nuisance and the 'X' button to close them doesnt work. you would have to close the application and sign in again.
Great app ruined by pop up video ads. I really enjoyed the simplicity and user experience, but the constant interruption by videos that don't go away without force closing the app make it quite frustrating to use especially when short on time. Ultimately I switched back to my old food tracker.
wish the total list of nutrients tracked were in the commercial side of the paywall. I make you enough money from advertising that all nutrients should be available without paying.
I just wanted to track calories and macros. I'm not interested in my weight or being an athlete. I was simply trying to eat better in hopes of easing a chronic condition. Instead, I ended up obsessing over goals the app made for me, which I had little control over and weren't what I needed. I got stressed enough to stop using the app because it became counterproductive. cannot recommend.
Really disappointed that they have pop up ads now when simply adding food to your diary. Used to be such a good alternative to My Fitness Pal.
I've been using this app for 3 months. The app is good OK nothing special, the layout could be better, the worst is their food catalog. basic items like Costco hot dog or generic pizza slice can't even be found. I've tried adding to their catalog but it's unacceptable for a major brand to not keep some of the popular store items that are generic. half the time in a scan an item it doesn't even appear in their catalog and I have to manually feed it in to the app.
unintuitive, just want a simple app
Its good concept but you have to be very careful and monitor entries or you will end up way off because the one thing this app is supposed to do is count and it doesnt do that well. Its a known bug where it will mis calculate total calories and other macros with meals if your not checking the math and its been known since 2002. For that reason alone I didnt go pro and moved on.
lots of cool features but only let me log in one food ,one entry to the diary. if you guys could fix that it would be worth the 5 stars but I can't give a higher rating to some thing I can't even use.
Just another platform to sell a subscription. App interface is pretty good at least.
