if you ever get a problem and datev has to work with you to fix it. they wont. 4 months on a simple problem and you can't even get through to them. 15 emails. 2 letters they have to sign for. it feels like they reached the company size where they can just ignore you. we will look for other solutions and leave dativ as soon as we can.

As of October my phone will not be "compatible" any longer, as my bootloader is unlocked so I was able to install an OS that still gets security updates. Apparently, this app is more strict than all of my financial apps. Where is the sense in that? Bummer!
Just installed the app and my phone "Xiaomi 15 ultra" which is a new device that's perfectly up to date wouldn't function anymore with the app from Oktober 2025.

Doesn't show in apps, gave to start out of play store where is shows as 'installed', doesn't open properly, doesn't allow to scan QR code (because app never starts properly), unusable.

Very frustrating and too complicated app since the moment you install it. Just to get started ... or when getting another phone. Not user friendly at all. After you register, it just doesn't remember it and asks for the registration again.
It would amazing if you put a link where I can I order the registration letter right in the app. "If you don't have the letter, please follow this link and order it" Simple? Yes! Obvious? Also yes! Why isn't it there?

I hate using yet another authentication app, just because the developers are lazy enough to integrate any of the already existing apps on the market to their product.

Zu kompliziert funktioniert nicht. Unfähig den QR code scannen und die alternative ist nicht zu gebrauchen da man mit der Zahlen Tastatur keine Buchstaben eingeben kann. Unnötig komplizierter Blödsinn.

I scanned the code, verified my email address, set up a password, logged in with my password and all it wants me is to scan another / new qr code. Pretty useless and user unfriendly. Uninstalled..

Der Login ist so kompliziert mit dieser Schrott App weshalb ich meine Belege nicht hochladen kann. Warum müssen solche Leute in der Position sein diese Software umzusetzen. Keine andere App / Bank macht so ein rückständigen Schwachsinn. Man muss jedes Mal an der App ein Passwort eingeben, dann ein QR Code abscannen und das JEDES MAL WEIL SICH DIESE WEB APP BEREITS NACH 10 MINUTEN ODER SO AUTOMATISCH AUSLOGGT. Reist doch bitte mit einer Zeitmaschine in das 18 Jahrhundert und programmiert da eure Software und verschont Menschen des 21. Jahrhunderts.
Sorry, hab jetzt zum 5. Mal mein Passwort zurücksetzen müssen, weil das dämliche Teil jedes Mal behauptet, dass das eingegebene Passwort zu kurz sei. Das ist schier unmöglich, da ich erst vor wenigen Minuten ein neues Passwort erstellt habe, welches den Ansprüchen entsprach. Leute, kriegt diesen Schrott endlich in den Griff. Die verdammte Pin vorher war viel zielführender und funktionierte wenigstens. Ich vergebe ungern nur 1 Stern, aber das ist schlichtweg nicht zumutbar.
Why make the login process so complicated and dependent on numerous letters? Security can also be implemented without so many manual steps.

Die zugrunde liegende Idee ist gut, die technische Umsetzung grauenhaft. Ein Systemupdate oder eine SIM Kartenwechsel im Ausland deaktiviert die App. Innerhalb eines Monats musste ich sie deshalb schon dreimal neu einrichten. Das ist in der Praxis völlig unpraktikabel weil der Zugang zur DATEV so äußert unberechenbar ist. Andere Security Apps kommen mit solchen Sachlagen bestens klar, bei der DATEV steht man in Sachen Benutzerfreundlichkeit noch weit in der Vergangenheit.
