Deputy gives employers extensive control over timesheets, hours, leave, and payroll-related records while providing employees with limited transparency. Employees cannot easily verify all changes, access a complete audit trail, or view their full work history. This creates opportunities for disputes and potential abuse. A system affecting wages should provide permanent change logs, full historical access, and equal transparency for employees, not just management.

The new Deputy update is really bad. It takes longer for the app to load and there is a lag. The 'available shifts' button isn't showing the number of shifts available (like +4) anymore. Also, it doesn't show whether the company or the interpreter is offering the shift, it only shows that info once you click on the specific shift. It takes us longer to claim shifts. The previous version was way better than this last one.

Can't remove a profile photo once you upload it. I didn't even tap the checkmark to save my changes, it saved the photo on its own! Now I can't remove it. Otherwise, it's an okay app I guess.

Absolutely awful UX and UI, consistently inconsistent, zero logic in scheduling features, and even admin can't view availability. The phone app also secretly tracks user location and a huge drains on battery 🔋 while its installed, far more than any other app. Support and helpdesk is run by some antiquated bots that have no idea what they're doing and just regurgitate a lot of scripted nonsense from the website.

The schedule it's self is fine, its simply and basic which is actually want I wanted. The issue is they bill you per user, which is fine but it has an auto system that adds all users from your Xero account, it also did this right before the end of the month to bill you extra without you knowing. There is apparently a setting to turn it off but funny enough that setting doesn't seem to be found where it should be. Have tried support but its fully run by AI and can not fix the issue.
