We had a not quite straightforward issue with a booking in Argentina and support just kept repeating the same response which didn't even attempt to deal with it. Just gave up in the end and will never use Direct Ferries again.

Using the pretence that the ferry company is not giving them information about the refund even though it's clear that they have been fully refunded. Book direct with ferry companies and avoid this sham operation. The company response is ridiculous too as though I haven't contacted them umpteen times

the app is trash, it doesn't open 50% of the time. the customer service portal doesnt notify you of messages and will automatically send you back to talking to ai chat bot
Avoid booking through this app/website! The customer service experience has been extremely disappointing. It took them over 48 hours just to respond to a simple cancellation request, and even then, they were completely unhelpful. To make matters worse, they’re charging a $20 cancellation fee - almost equivalent to the cost of a one-way ticket. Definitely not worth the hassle.

Avoid Avoid Direct Frerris suddenly cancelled my ferry booking just 24 hours prior to the sail! Tickets that I had booked over 7 weeks earlier, planned everything ahead just for them to make the decision of cancelling my tickets with no explanation. Please book through the ferry company directly and avoid this scam.
do not use them. they wanted to charge me 800 for a round trip to parto santos from and to funchal for 3 ppl and a car. almost 3 times the actual cost. first I paid $678 and then they asked $118 as a "transaction fee". ridiculous
directions to port were so off we missed the ferry
lies about check-in times, I've just missed my ferry because of their inaccuracies
