Forcing 5-10 second unskippable ads at every single tap on a security camera application is an absolute failure of common sense. A security app requires instant access for monitoring, not corporate spam. This greedy and poorly engineered UI shows a complete lack of respect for user experience and safety. It is highly frustrating and utterly unprofessional for a brand like Dahua. Fix this immediately.

Changing my password on this app should not be a struggle. Its rubbish.
The more they update the app the worse it gets. Terrible experience, 30 second recordings don't load instantly and when you do finally get them to play they don't play in full, they now cut out after a couple of seconds. I've cleared the cache, I'm on the latest version. It used to be a good app until they started updating it and making it look more modern.
Too many bugs after the last update like DVR restarting during playback, some settings not loading and resulting in DVR restarts, Live feed freezing when looking at other cameras etc. Also please get rid of the useless email login requirement to add a local device.

worked perfectly in the beginning but in 2025, always fails to connect to the network when im out. I get alerts but cant check the camera and the alerts are delayed by up to 10 minutes sometimes, including when I'm home. one year later and still intermittent. works fine when at home but when out, difficult to access... gets to 95% and fails and service is fine

Dear Dahua Support Team, After a recent DMSS app update, we noticed a change in the video doorbell notification behavior. Previously, when a visitor pressed the doorbell, the notification on the mobile phone displayed a live video preview before answering the call. This allowed users to see who was at the door and decide whether to answer or unlock the door. Since the latest update, notifications only show an incoming call alert without any video preview. Users must first answer the call to see
i can not access my camera. it tells to input mail and password that i never set to use. now it useless.

at first it wasn't required login u can watch it now they require to signup but when we signup they need a code and the code they don't send why it happened

Another update disaster. Since the 30th May update all my cameras are freezing and stop when watching live. I have to force stop the app to fix the problem.

Extremely Bad Support the app is faulty. cannot receive password reset for the last 20 days plus no reply from the app developers, the apps smart light function is still faulty after sends emails to fix for the last 2 years dont look like it will be fixed .... its just as bad as a Hikvision Dvr
