Been with domestika for years and have purchased fantastic courses by brilliant teachers but things have changed and not for the better. There's now an endless push to sign up or trick users into a yearly membership and the pushing of AI everything is disgusting and ill judged considering this is meant to be a site for creatives - we actually want to create with real tools not type commands and steal the work of other artists. Would delete if not for the excellent courses I have already bought.
I would give 0 if I could. Scammers. Forced to pay yearly subscription. They DON'T sent reminder that they will take you 300€, even though you didn't want your card to be remembered on the payment!! No one is responding on emails. Bank can't do a thing, because all money they have taken, have invested in good solicitor, and not in app. You have a ton of tutorials, but also a lot of them are locked, even though you are a forced pro member. That's bollocks. Please, BE AWARE of DOMESTIKA!!!!!

Dissappointment :( Just be careful before trial, they will charge immediately after 30 days. I just paid fully on March 2026 (because my CC was charged after trial). Accidentally I pushed cancel membership while checking my account on the apps. They didnt recover my subscription yet (how come they do not investigate that I just paid and never enjoy any benefit yet). I mailed the CS several times, the replies only copy paste asking me to check my account by myself. No solution yet :(
Thieves and scammers! You pretend to sell a single course, but hide a forced subscription in the fine print. That’s deceptive and dishonest. “Non-refundable”? Of course it is, because you know exactly what you’re doing. This is a complete scam, and people should be warned. I will make sure others know about these shady practices and stay far away from your business.
They will charge you $350 if you're not careful, and you will not get a refund no matter how soon you cancel. I saw the other reviews complaining about this, but disregarded them because I thought they were just being careless. I have been a customer for over five years, but I'm going to delete my account now to make sure there's no way I accidentally sign up for anything again
Signed up for a $.99 course and was hit 30 days later with a bill of $349 of which they claim was a voluntary agreement. NO WAY EVER would I have agreed to a 1 year app subscription for $349. This has happened to myself and many others. I would have remembered seeing the offer of $349 if it were indicated clearly. The same story with many others. Then when you try to cancel it often doesn't work, and their customer service is simply a repeated email reply.
Domestika stole my money!!!. They advertised a course that was on sale without stating that I'll be charged for a yearly subscription 3 months later. I have tried reaching out for a refund but they have been ignoring me.
I had purchased the year membership before its price tripled, which gave me 12 credits 1/month. However, I ended up not using half of my credits and they dissapeared, I paid for them why should they expired. I contacted costumer service an AI which sent me the policies of their subscription = no customer service. Some of the courses were great but the reason I didn't spend credits was because the courses became repetitive and spend way too long on the fundamentals making the core lesson 1hr tops

Very disappointed with the course quality and customer support! They do not respond to messages and refund request. After your subscription and payment, they do not care if you are satisfied, like the learning experience doesn't matter, just the payment. Very disappointed! Wasted money for me!
I signed up for a trial and cancelled shortly into the trial period (a week in). I found that the material wasn't very useful to me. perhaps to others it could be, but it wasn't what I was looking for. The issue was that after I finished the trial they still charged me. $385.54 CAD after I had cancelled and they have a NO REFUND policy even WHEN THEY MESS UP. 10/10 do not recommend, it seems more like a scam to me now.
Sadly domestika is basically a scam. It's the company, not the artists & presenters, obviously. If you search for reviews online, you'll find thousands upon thousands of people who haven't been able to cancel, don't get a refund when they should, company keeps taking $ from people's bank accounts after they've cancelled their trial or subscription, like $100-200 depending on currency. Like McAfee. You wonder how they can still trade when it's so clearly a scam.
Beware! This company will rob you blind. They will quadruple your subscription fee as a "reward" for your loyalty. This is a company that puts $$ first and customers last. They are devoid of ethics.
charged me for an unwanted subscription
kept telling me my password or username was wrong, even though its what I use on the computer. after the seventh try it tells me I am using an old version and to update. I did update to new version. continues to tell me I'm using an old version and refuses to open. this app has always been mid but now it's frustrating as all get out.

Dodgy dodgy company. my wife purchase a $3 (AUD) course last year and was trapped into paying for a $100 subscription she was not made aware she was signing up for and the refused to refund us the money. We cancelled our subscriptions, but one year later and this dodgy company has just charged us over $500!!!! Wish I could leave 0 stars.
THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! I saw an ad that they provide access to a course I wanted for 1$. I bought it. One month later they tried to charge my card $270 overnight like I subscribed for a year. I never even allowed them to save my card for recurrent payments. Stay away.
Domestika is a textbook example of a predatory subscription scam. Blocking users from logging in, hiding the cancellation option, and continuing to charge money for a service people can’t even access is absolutely disgraceful. This is not a “platform issue”, it’s a deliberate dark pattern designed to trap users and drain their money. I was unable to access the course I purchased for 99p and also could not sign in to my account. I emailed several times asking for support but received no response. As a result, I was later charged £280 for a subscription that I was unable to cancel because I couldn’t log in or get help. The sign up and subscription process is not very clear. I now owe PayPal and I can't afford to pay it back. don't sign up

What a scam. I signed up for a $0.99 Blender introduction last month. First off, the course was terrible but obviously $0.99 won't hurt anyone. I ignored follow-up emails and unsubscribed to everything else to keep my inbox clean, and all is well in my world. Or so I thought. To my surprise I got charged $349 today for a Domestika PLUS subscription I never signed up for. Turns out auto renewal for $349 is mentioned in the SMALL print of the first invoice. This is misleading & malpractice.
Predatory and misleading. This company will offer you 3$ course and then charge a 400$ subscription fee to your credit card. Likely the original company has been sold for parts.
BEWARE OF NEW SUBSCRIPTION. i want to give ZERO if i could. subscribed to the sale course on Dec 2025 for how to make soap. but i could nt manage to finish it. however no information about renewal and to cancel. ended up getting UNAUTHORISED DEDUCTION for renewal. Have been asking a refund, same date with the renewal date, but the response from CS has been unprofessional, unhelpful, scripted, not resolving the issue, even not responding the email. even Disney+ was willing to provide refund.

The yearly subscription is $320. When you sign up for a discounted course they will automatically sign you up for app subscription. Be careful, and cancel immediately. The customer service is terrible.
Careful! YOu will be charged automatically without any email reminding you that the renewal is coming up! You will wake up to a 330 USD transaction, and when you try to email them about cancelling and having a refund, you won't get an answer. Such a cheap way to have people hooked in for another year. Let alone that 330$ will not give you access to all the courses you want. There is this weird credits system which makes the whole thing even more disappointing.
Good course, but they take money out of your account with no warning when you buy a course and don't reply to emails when asking for refund.

I was burned too. The fact that it's $349/year is totally downplayed, if you forget to cancel within the window they will NOT refund. I am trying to file a claim with Paypal and spam them but I doubt there are any humans on the other end. I will keep trying. Scammy company.
The courses are ok, but really nothing special. The biggest problem is horrible customer support and scamming people on yearly subscriptions. They took 300 EUROS for plus Subscription that I am pretty sure I cancelled over the time of my trial. Even if I didn't, EU customer protection law allows customers to change their mind with a full refund 14 days after purchase. I cancelled Plus immediately, requested a refund and each time got a generic, exactly the same email back, no refund.

I had a technical problem and my cancellation didn't go through, I didn't even notice so I was eventually charged the yearly amount (that is disproportionate to what they offer and on comparison with other, better plataforms). They didn't bother nor attended any explanation, even when I have not even logged in the platform since the trial. They stick to their policy of keeping the payment no matter if you immediately notice. My conclusion: don't bother, they just go after your money
Unclear contract explanation, buggy courses, automated complaints system & many tales of unhappy customers/teachers alike. Quality varies wildly from course to course which doesn't justify enormous annual fee charged Buyer beware.
I cannot get a response written by a human in customer support. Worst experience I've ever had with any company, just take your money, walk away and send automated and copy paste messages.
My rights as a user were violated. I was charged a new subscription fee which increased drastically (almost 3 times) without any prio notification, without explicitly my concent. When I tried to rise this issue with help desk I was ignored. After 72 hours of silence, I made a charge back through my bank, at least it worked. But I never were contacted by any one from the merchant to settle the issue on a positive note. Strongly do not recommend Domestica for such fraud.
