The app logged me out, I logged in and proceeded to go through the MFA steps and it would not accept the passcode it sent me. I then requested a new one and it sent 6 from pushing the button 1 time. all of this ended up in me timing out and being stuck outside my apartment for another 10 minutes waiting to log in again so I could open my own door. Terrible design for their process we are forced to use.

True con artist creators. Cell access goes down in your area you can't get into your apartment building. I sincerely hope there is some kind of lawsuit in the works currently for the greedy corpo scum that convinced landlords their system was better than a lock and key. "Bluetooth is faster and more convenient", WRONG. Sum up the delays waiting for Bluetooth from your car your headphones to disconnect so that the stupid lock recognizes your vicinity.
2gb storage for a door app is ridiculous. you can fit a whole 3d game with hundreds of characters and animations in that space.
very poor. useless tech. coders need to get a real job
Ugly, cumbersome, the only reason this exists is to raise the rent. Requires two hands to unlock your door. If you have pets that like to run out, have fun with that as you bring in groceries and have to relock your door multiple times, spend 10 seconds unlocking it with both hands, picking up you groceries again, then repeating the cycle. Typing in the door code lags. Takes over a minute to register. The installers do a poor job, and when the door doesn't lock itself, it will swing open.
Rarely work. Somehow worse than Latch
I keep on entering my information and just keep on telling me it's the wrong information and will not let me pass the phone number when I don't have it set up yet it says my phone number is already in the system when I do not have the app set up yet.
The app is frequently unable to connect to any of the doors, which can be very frustrating. It also stores an enormous amount of user data (2 GB), which does not make sense to me.
Crashes at least once per lock during installation process. It cannot handle its most basic functions and should be taken off the market.
Nightmare for the disabled!! I am homebound and get deliveries for pretty much everything I need. Since, recently, being forced to switch from the LATCH app to the DOOR app, my phone will NOT, as in EVER... UNLOCK the downstairs LOBBY door (either by manually selecting Unlock Lobby Door, or from an Intercom call) so my deliveries can NOT get to me, and the drivers leave, saying "UNABLE TO ACCESS BUILDING". PLEASE FIX THIS NIGHTMARE of a DOOR "NOT"-unlocking app.
Doesn't work half the time
Doesn't work offline
It stopped my app and asked me to login when I disconnected from inernet. How can I get back home? And this app often open my door when my mobile phone is lying on the desk with screen off and the app was not even on the top. I dont know how what you ate doing. Its really dumb
The only thing this app has over Latch is that it's so bad my property manager finally gave me a physical key. Smart locks are dumb af. If DOOR is serious about AI they have a way to go.
App can't open doors. No way to get it fixed.
what a stupid product ever seen!
I have not been able to get on this website. No matter how many times I have tried.
it's so much worse than latch
Never worked to open downstairs door. No video no buzzer. Latch which worked was discontinued. I was forced to install Door app on February 25. It does not allow me to let anyone in. Guests have to call me then I have to go down 4 flights to let them in. This company doesn't care. No in person support. I keep getting "engineers are working on it". Over one year and I still can not remotely unlock the door with this app.
Unusable in parking garages / Requiring internet for a key is a joke. Absolute failure of an app. It constantly tries to "refresh" the door list the second I open it. Since I’m usually in an underground parking garage with no signal, it fails every time and forces a logout or a manual refresh. Requiring a live internet connection for a building key is a massive design flaw. A key needs to work offline. If there’s no signal, it should just use cached data. Instead, I’m left locked out of my own
near universal downgrade from latch 1. frequent logouts for no reason. unusable and unacceptable when in a building that has no reception and you can't log back in 2. no organization between other properties and often forgets what property you last selected. especially annoying when there are locks that don't automatically unlock when nearby 3. strictly worse search behavior since it doesn't search across properties. you need to search through each property individually by selecting it first
somehow more frustrating to use than Latch which is an achievement. also when you turn on background NFC scanning it drains your battery like crazy on pixel 10 pro
why they would make us switch from the latch app to this one is beyond me. how this new app is way worse than the latch app is also beyond me. it's slower than latch and doesn't work half the time.
The widget is huge and white. Please let us make it dark. The intercom call to let nonresidents into the building only works 25% of the time. I don't care about controlling the thermostat with this app. I use the app for the thermostat. I want to be able to let visitors in. Latch was faster and more consistent with intercom. Add a remote unlock option to buzz people in. Support was responsive and tried to help but still can't buzz people in consistently.
takes a long time to load
this app doesn't work to unlock doors if you are listening to music over headphones, car play, or are on the phone with someone. also seems like the longer I use the app, the slower it works to unlock. you will never ever convince me these apps are better than a physical key
Absolutely terrible. half the time it won't open the door It rarely opens the door in time for delivery people. And it has an annoying feature if you go deep down into the menu to manually open it it waits 10 seconds and has to confirm you want to do a remote unlock. Why else would you go three menus down in to do that. by that time your guest or delivery person has left.. absolute failure that doesn't consider actual client needs..
latch was better
Utter trash. Super slow and doesn't work half the time. Their customer support doesn't reply to emails.
they forced into a sg our building to switch from Latch app tjothis pos app, their NFC doesn't work , sensitivity to locks is busy, went from no hands touch and unlock to now have to open the stupid app ( with my hands full ) . just terrible app
forced into using but then this app logs me out of it with no notice at least once every two weeks, which is rather inconvenient
the door app started freezing up bad on my Motorola phone. There's not a worse feeling in the world than when you're on the verge of pooping your pants with explosive diarrhea and you can't get your front door unlocked due to a frozen app.
has worked maybe 60% of the time that my building has used it, which is 40% less than I would expect in order for an app that allows me INTO MY OWN HOME
no app for android
why do I have to login to enter my house?
Somehow y'all managed to make an app that is worse than latch
I had to move to this app because Latch won't work with my apartment locks anymore and since then, this app is draining my battery. more than 25% of daily usage and I justuse it twice or thrice per day. Even if I put it to sleep, usage doesn't change. NFC sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Please fix it because I don't have other alternative but to have to deal with it. It is so frustrating.
While the old Latch app definitely had its issues, this new Door app is honestly terrible. Since installing it about 2 weeks ago, it's somehow used over 7Gb of background data (on what?!), and today it's used up about 23% of my S25's battery (again, doing what?!). My building uses the system for all of the locks, so we don't exactly get a choice of not using it. Also not impressed that they forced a bunch of random functionality into the app that is unrelated to the core 'door unlock' feature
terrible app, no favorites, you can't just tap the lock you need. Logging out unexpectedly, so when you are in the parking with no internet you can't login and can't open the door, using it is just painful
are you serious!!
terrible app!!BEWARE!!! This app will log you out unexpectedly and will have you out in the cold while you try to log back in at your doorstep!!!!!
The Door app continues to erase my username and password. Oftentimes stuck in an elevator trying to re-enter the information so I can push a button in the elevator to go down or up.
garbage app that never works properly
I've lived in places with this thing for over 5 years now and overall this thing is just more inconvenience than solution and software bugs all over. Hate it to the bone! The current app issues: 1- keeps logging me out. 2- it's either Bluetooth or NFC. Old app could do both at the same time. Which means it's basically just Bluetooth only if you have mixed locks in your building. 3- needs internet connection underground to work or takes forever to timeout and work. Hopeless! Shame on you!
Latch was pretty bad and somehow they managed to make it even worse. Slow to respond, if at all, and remote unlock is completely broken. Generally terrible. If your building is considering this, look elsewhere!
so laggy
I does not go 14 days before it logs you out. I use it everyday, I have had to log back in in a two day period...FIX YOUR APP ITS JUST AS BAD AS THE ORIGINAL LATCH.
the app works half the time and the other half you have to unlock your phone and go to the app. nfc does not work at all.
Building moved from Latch to this garbage. Neither Bluetooth proximity nor NFC works. I have to physically press unlock for any doors in the building.
