They expect people to pay to use the app. Seriously?!? I was looking for something I could use for free - permanently, not just for a short time. what a joke. its so glitchy. can't open videos. they take forever to load. can't upload videos to other platforms it always ends in an error
worst app! exponentially more expensive than google drive. i had upgraded storage years ago and one day they said my free storage was no longer free the same way amazon added ads to prime. unethical company! the interface is HORRIBLE. no cleanup tools. anything you click on reminds you they want you to pay every month what google charges a year for LESS

I've been trying to access my account for about 2 months. There is absolutely no customer service assistance. I recently lost my phone and had to get a new phone number. Trying to log into Dropbox on my new phone, entered the correct username and password where I was then prompted the two step authentication which of course has my old phone number tied to it. Never logged in from computer so due to this I am locked out, and cant get a hold of a single real representative.
scam charged me $12.71 for two days in a row.. supposed to be $12 for the month, still waiting on my refund
Since update camera upload won't turn on. Went through all the options to correct, unistall, clear cache, permissions, etc. Nothing works. Even tried manual upload, upload from my gallery, upload I'm Dropbox folder. doesn't work
Miserable experience start to finish. This app gets stuck when loading 9 times out of 10, won't open the Photos app (only lets me "upload files", why the distinction?), the free version gives you 2GB total and when you finally get stuff to your computer and download it, the graphical quality is terrible. I don't know why I even tried this.
can't reliably tick multiple files, tick one file and it selects multiple. the built in excel viewer only shows dates in mm/dd/yyyy format, can we choose the viewer we want to use or look at device regional settings
I've been trying to cancel for an hour. should be all you need to know about a business. They replied here but that link gives me the runaround and they still don't actually allow me to talk to anyone. they switched their withdrawal source after I blocked their account. At this point they're just robbing me.
Awful app. It will not recognize my account, stalls on opening, will not work, and will not accept the security code sent to unlock the app. It won't even let me access assistance. Find another large file transfer app. Don't waste your time with this one.

Sign-in issue: I was reviewing a video file I have, and it kept saying "offline" after playing for 1 minute. I updated, uninstalled, and tried signing in; however, after going through the steps, I was constantly met with an error message. I tried selecting the "trouble signing in" option to select an email link; however, when I do that, it says "not online" when I am online.
You keep trying to get a payment through PayPal when my account is closed. I've told you for a year that I don't want this service any more. CLOSE IT OUT COMPLETELY DELETE THAT FILE. I've tried to download my file off your site and that didn't work either. I've emailed you more time that I can count to stop trying to get money. close the account pls. Delete the files pls. You threatened to delete the files if I don't pay so delete the files
canceled subscription to Dropbox because didn't need it since no longer using program that required it. But still got charged for next month and never used app except for initial log in!

Unable to upload anything after recent update. A "Preparing to Upload" message pops up, but continues to buffer endlessly and nothing gets uploaded. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the app and cleared cache to no avail. Please fix this issue. Thank you.
I updated, but as soon as I open the app it says I need to update before I can use it. There are no further updates available.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I think in their early days the app was actually good. But trying to extract my files from it so that I can shut down my account... What a nightmare. I lost baby photos and videos of my kids during the process because this app is so uselessly not user friendly. I'm not a tech-phobe either... Usually apps are a breeze for me as I have a computer graphics and IT background. This app is my least favourite app of them all. 😑 I wish I had never used it.
App no longer works. Cleared cache. Didn't help. Have uninstalled and reinstalled app twice. Clicking "upload photo" from the app brings me to a blank white screen, forever. Clicking "Add to Dropbox" from phone gallery brings me to the rotating arrow "uploading" icon, forever. Samsung Galaxy S10e.

App wont even open after reinstalling 3 times on brand new s26 ultra... Overall terrible quality for mobile, desktop and browser experience. Would trust a 30min vibe coded app in claude code more than this.

Photo upload design flaw. Photos don't upload until battery is over 20% which wastes my time frequently. There used to be an option to bypass this but it was removed. Its been 3 years and this is still kicking my butt.
don't download. only 2Gb free cloud. Terabox is 1TB free cloud im used . The Best app is terabox.
you think they can Implement some kind of two-factor authentication if you don't have access to an old email with no access, and happen to lose the password. sending us a list of one-time passwords is a really stupid way to access your account. I have not had a problem, but can imagine if I lost my email somehow, I could not get into my Dropbox, it would be devastating! it's way less likely I will lose my phone number, and a simple text message to authenticate yourself would be better.

unnecessary and don't sync local files
Unable to login using mobile app. Pointless to file support ticket as this bug has existed for over a year now. App freezes or hangs indefinitely on loading when you tap Login or even just launch it. Nothing works. Reinstalled app many times now. Able to login on desktop or mobile web just fine. 0/10 experience compared with literally any other storage app. Get it together, Dropbox team this is a big bug.

stuck on "please wait.." after clicking google to sign in. 20 mins im waiting. i uninstall, reinstall and when i open the app its back on please wait again! how is that even possible
terrible app, as soon as I run it, it starts loading indefinitely. can't even log in. the only reason i downloaded it is because the dropbox website ui on phone wouldn't let me access documents because a free trial offer kept opening up. i couldn't exit out of it and view the documents. dropbox has really become incredibly disappointing recently. i have a 2025 phone

Just this continuation of adding unnecessary "features" that just interfere with the core usability with no way to turn the constant harassment of popups and interfering notifications off. Do better!
there are a lot of features that are extremely sneaky and can share your data that you wanted private storage for. I learned the hard way how it works and I am so disappointed in the lack of security of the app. There are ways to modify settings so that anyone can have your files especially which can result in Hippa violations by Dropbox. I have every protocol for protection set but yet links are still available even after deleting them. Buyer beware - this can be serious
