this is the worst. the code they give you doesn't work.
the app just locks you out of your accounts when u got a new phone.. I am now locked out of my account because it"couldn't find any accounts"..it could have an automatic backup for accounts ... truly frustrated
garbage push notifications. literally isnt sending duo push notifications.
not only do i have to approve or deny a login but now I have to enter a 3 digit code to get into it. eventually figured it out but the 3 digit code is displayed all tiny on the computer its hard to find
not easy to set up
Horrendous and absolutely atrocious! I had to switch phone numbers and as soon as I did, DUO disabled all of my accounts. Some of them I can't get back because DUO doesn't know how to operate correctly. I am officially locked out of several accounts AND LOSING INCOME now because I cannot change 2FA settings without signing into the accounts... which I can't do because DUO disabled my 2FA codes just for switching phone numbers. I will never personally opt to use this trash system.
2026 review: stupid app is even more useless than before. 2021 review: Stupid nonsense a company will make you download and then you can't even login if you dont have your phone or the thing glitches. Which it does glitch, all the time.

have to use for work but it often glitches and causes lock outs overloading IT with people that can't get to certain parts of the compant website
The prompts only work part of the time, I usually have to try three times. the old Duo you could approve or deny, now you have to type in six digit core, terrible.
Garbage App. Doesn't work. Can't even set up. Asks for QR Code from your computer but it never comes up. Who creates these apps? Monkeys ?
I love Duo security so much! It takes care of my account and helps prevent hackers from accessing my important information (my emails, my schedule, my other emails, etc.) I'd give this app 10 stars if I could, but the rating system only goes up to 5 so just pretend there's a 0 after the 1 in my review
trying to update but no word update!
Why not have updates on the app itself, and not have to go through ggl playstore each time, requiring uninstall and reinstall with new set up. Second uninstall and reinstall in 6 months.

I really hate you guys so much. is it that I always have to verify with the stupid app? My phone is damaged so I can't access the app now it's impossible to get into my school account because I can't verify. At least let it have an option to send code to my number. I really hate this app, it caused me to fail my class and for that I'll never use this stupid authenticator app

terrible. won't work after update
this is absolute garbage. I got a new phone and try transfer my stuff from the old phone with the QR code and it keeps saying something went wrong and they were unable to generate a QR code. They said I can skip without scanning and reconnect it manually but there is no skip button to be found.
I have to close the app and reopen to get notifications to show up. Sometimes continuously.

The failure to support Android 9 is surprising. On the user side, the Duo app is ultimately just a basic push notification with a YES/NO button to verify identity. Many users still have these perfectly good smartphones - like Note 8. But - you have now broken VPN verification on all older OS phones with YES/NO button security that could be easily done with any app.
Doesn't work. Asks if I'm sure if I'm scanning the right barcode (which isn't even the proper nomenclature in this instance) to reconnect om a new phone. What other DUO barcode could I possibly be scanning, one from that little owl?!
at first it was fine however I received an email from my job that I have to update to 4.85 and the app doesn't give me an option to update or I just don't see it
Please stop telling us we have unsupported clients. It's annoying.

Won't let me approve from notifications, complains about not being connected which is stupid considering I just received the notification to approve my connection.
After I re-download the Duo mobile on a new phone, suddenly I couldn't sign into my account. Every time I tried, it said the app couldn't find my account. Thankfully, I didn't have much connected to Duo, and I was able to get access to everything that was connected again, but for a while, I thought I was completely locked out of those accounts.
I installed your app after being told by Facebook that I would be blocked if I didn't. I installed your app and I was denied access. After three attempts and being denied I deleted everything from Facebook and your app. I will never use your app or Facebook ever again. I have removed the apps from the app store.

I truly hate this app. I wish I could sign into accounts with the password I set instead of being tied to a phone for everything.

Let's find out how to make a mandatory app the most difficult terrible experience ever! Now imagine something WORSE than that! Surprise! Cisco found a way to make it even worse than THAT! No longer supports Android 8. No longer works on watch. No longer approves through notification. Can't even perform it's most basic function. Need to get rid of this and use Google Auth which actually works.
