App was updated for Android 16 and it still doesn't fix the light theme. On Android the light theme tab bar is white but the gesture area is black. This should not be the case. The gesture area should be white, to match the tab area when using the light theme. This works fine on IOS, it should be the same. Please fix.
30 second ad for a 10 second clip is pure greed zero stars

I have a plan... still wants me to sign up for something already purchased to watch the avs game!!! I hate this app and espn. A dumpster fire is more substantial than this app.

ESPN is the only company that can't figure out streaming video. All their videos are grainy and unwatchable the first 15 seconds. Always. NO OTHER WEBSITE HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR 10 YEARS!!! Also it's 2021. I'm not watching a 30sec ad. Deleted the app. It's not 2012, guys. Videos are super low resolution for 15 seconds. And that's AFTER they force you to sit through a 30 second ad. NO OTHER app makes you watch long ads anymore.It's not 2012
You're the absolute worst at scheduling. Everytime I pay for this service to watch my favorite team I always miss 1/3rd of the game because of scheduling overlap. You had one job and you failed.
very bad app experience lately
ESPN webpage is forcing all articles through the app if you have it installed. I have uninstalled the app out of principle.
ESPN, please do us all a favor and go out of business. No matter what sport you attempt to broadcast, you somehow make the experience worse. You now have control of the MLBtv streaming service and you've taken an excellent product and ESPN'd it. Video quality sucks, I have to quit the app to switch games to view. The 1 thing you do correctly is make good things bad.
Spyware pre installed
this app doesn't work most of the time without restarting my phone everytime I close the app and try opening it again.
terrible app works half the time the other half is taps that do nothing and a plack page loading screen.
"Verts" won't play. App freezes and closes more often than not. A lot of waiting, restarting the app, and retrying.
Rarely works
I will forever keep this 1star because they cover fake wrestling on ESPN. not the sport wrestling, but the entertainment fake rip off WWE
impossible to cancel the streaming once you sign up.
this app is pretty much useless for everything you can't watch games without an exterior subscription. I really don't see the point of having this app
This POS app won't send the notifications I'm asking it to send, e.g. when a game starts, when it ends with the final score, etc. Yes, notifications are turned on both in the app and on my phone, and yet still no notifications... Fix your app.
espn tries too hard to be edgy. everytime I read an article its like they want to be controversial instead of a sports news broadcast based off facts and actual intelligence. Uninstalled and finding a better app. no thanks.
Disney ruined ESPN
All the technology in the world and you can't figure out how to cater your idiotic notifications. "DO YOU WANT TO SEE THE HAWKS LOSING WORSE THAN ANY TEAM HAS EVER LOST? YOU FOLLOW THE HAWKS SO YOU MUST BE SO INTERESTED IN THIS RIGHT?"

I want to watch golf, only, today, this current tournament, now. I am unsuccessful in this indevour.
I had as 5 star. Now that it no longer shows anything but a black screen and has become useless, I am ratimg it zero. Used to be good.
Video play back is horrible and way to many ads on every highlight. The breaking news alerts are ridiculous!! Not everything is breaking news. Even with alerts turned off they still keeps coming. Alerts for the teams you follow should be all you get unless its something major with the league. Yet I get alerts for teams I couldnt care less for. Delete it and go with Yahoo sports app.
Absolute garbage. No pip, constant video stutter, buffering and slow start after rewind or forwarding on all connections. How can a multi billion company release this trash and expect people to pay. Signed up for ESPN unlimited.... canceling immediately after NBA playoffs this is a joke
every time I open the app it's just a black screen. I've cleared the cash and data, uninstalled the app, reinstalled the app and nothing works. Still just a black screen.

Absolutely the worst app ever! you can check scores but that's all it's good for and when you try to cancel it's dang near impossible for you to do.
Annoying Notifications cannot be stopped - the app is constantly popping up with "Device Connected" notifications. The only way to stop these notifications is if you stop all ESPN notifications. it is super annoying to receive these notifications nearly daily for no reason.
this app sucks. ads during live events while paying for a subscription. no PiP, not working for me. Definitely getting rid of this app, just gonna use my month

Too many random notifications that you can't disable. Fix your horrible autofill login. Can't use autofill.
can't see repays of shows
The option to start watching from the scores page doesn't work. You have to select the game and go to the gamecast screen to start the stream. Also if you try to sign back into your provider since the app unlinks it constantly, when it texts you the code and you go to your messages to get it and then go back to ESPN it resets the attempt and you have to do it all over again. Do you cant leave the app to get the code they just texted you. I mean you guys have some stellar app devs over there.

I literally cant think of ANYTHING on this planet that feels as greedy as Disney buying up ESPN to then (try to) charge an extra $30 a month on top of what you already paying them for your mydisney+ subscription. This actually leaves me feeling nauseous because I see that the Disney company's greed truly knows no bounds 🤌

I live in Puerto Rico and the ESPN app doesn't want to open inside my TV but if you have this app for more than 10 years and always have used it without any problems but now a call comes out like location is not permitted but I have the ESPN app on my phone my tablet and other devices and I don't have any problems
the app doesn't load when I open it up. the screen is always blank
