My English is quite poor, and I thought this app would help me, but after actually using it to learn, I found it very difficult and harder to understand than I expected. I don't think it met my needs.

I cancelled EWA more than 6 months ago, but charges continued on my Visa card. No subscription appeared in the app or Google Play, and logging in with the same email showed a new-user onboarding flow. I was charged multiple times, including twice in June. Support refused a refund and would not explain the charges or provide the subscription details/cancellation path. I had to block my card and dispute it with my bank.
I stopped subscribing to them a long time ago, but they still continue to charge me.

The only other option that was even vaguely in the same ballpark was "I can't live without you" but it obviously doesn't mean that"???
has one of those cookies/tracking systems you almost can't turn off. After a few minutes turning all the options off my thumb stopped working and I deleted the ap instead. This doesn't seem to bother many people so you may yet like it.
Cant find unsubscription. No response. Not for advanced level.
I deleted my account, but my subscription is still active and they continue to charge me. I emailed them about it, but they haven't done anything.

I do not recommend this app. My subscription was canceled before its expiration date, even though I had already paid for it. I contacted customer support multiple times, but I never received a response or any assistance. Very disappointing experience and poor customer service.
A disgusting program that chooses sexual or inappropriate footage and tries to get the words out of it, besides that there are dozens of mistakes and problems
The support is completely unhelpful, specifically I can't cancel my subscription and they don't provide any help! I don't recommend using the app!
garbage. constant bombardment of 'offers' even though you have paid for the app if you want 'unlimited' learning you have to pay again or else you can only learn a limited number of words. lands you in the middle of a course with questions but no learning.
Beware! Have been trying to cancel my subscription for months. No option within the EWA app to manage subscription. Only get automated/bot responses from EWA that they need to direct my request over to the outside billing service, Paddle, that handles payment. Can't figure out how to cancel subscription on Paddle either, much less get in contact. Feels very scam like. Had to stop payment on my end. Of course I get an email from EWA that my most recent payment hasn't gone through...
onboarding process error ... check the bug 1st.

Not a good learning experience. I would not recommend buying this app due to poor level placement and unnecessarily complicated subscription cancellation. If you purchased through EWA directly, you need to search your email for "Paddle" or "EWA", open the purchase email, click "Manage Subscription", and then cancel auto-renewal. This process should be much simpler and clearer for users.
Terrible experience with canceling my account, which they purposefully make it difficult to do. This company allows a user to completely delete their account using the App while silently keeping their billing cycle active which is a textbook dark pattern designed to trap consumer funds. Avoid this app like the plague.
Don't purchase this app! I tried 4 times in the first 2 days I installed it to get a full refund. They lie about giving you a refund. Customer support refuses to comply with my request. They just stall and stall and stall with irrelevant emails. I have to get my credit card company involved to dispute it. Cancelling your subscription doesn't get you your money back.
very low level of english questions and even lower level of accuracy of translation to other languages. waste of time and money!
Duolingo is better
I couldn't get past the 5 million clicks of SUPER irrelevant questions set up in a sensory overload messaging format. Someone doesn't understand how the brain works because this messaging format and 5 million useless questions is the opposite of "let me try something new". You only need 3 questions. 1. what your native language 2. what language you want to learn 3. what level are you (multiple choice of three beginner, intermediate, novice) then start the app.
The content is okay, but I have been trying to cancel it for over a week with no success. I've made multiple requests and all I get is automated replies. Don't subscribe!
your Ai s Spanish sucks
I shared the link to my girlfriend and she tried the app, but the app didn't show the Italian language as an option to her, and when she was installing the app on her phone, the app showed logged in my account instead of asking her for a subscription.
1. the space bar is too close to the check answer button. 2. many clips are incomprehensible
The lower beginner lessons are good. As lessons progress the audio clips get peor y más peor. The quality of 'native speaker' is ABYSMAL. The simplicity of the exercises do not seem to advance. Very repetitive and do not require much critical thinking. Overall, I'm unimpressed.
When it makes me choose a language to learn, it forces me to learn English when I want to learn Italian. Aren't there many other languages available?!
