I'm trying to learn Japanese and they have a specific way they want to pronounce desu, but I don't hear anything different from when I say it. I followed what the audio said.
This app is horrible. It's necessary watch an ad for everything you do. It becomes learning boring because you have you watch plenty of ads to finish one lesson.
at first I liked this app and it was very promising but the pronunciation recognition isn't working properly for me. In Japanese courses, it keeps saying I mispronounce "desu". All other words that are even harder to pronounce are correct like "hajimemashite". I paid a premium but asked for my money back after 1 day. I've only used this app for 5 days or so and it really disappointed me. As I said, it was very promising but I'm deeply disappointed now.
i dont know why, but in japanese the desu keeps getting wrong, i tried many desu version but it keeps getting wrong, one time i had AI that speaks japanese repeating the answer and it keeps getting wrong again.

ok I get it they want us to purchase the premium and I agree I would benefit from that but do they really have to show ads right in the middle of a lesson? can it not wait until after the lesson is done? I might even consider buying then. But uninstalling for now coz its so annoying.

free version has ridiculous amount of adds.
Drops you right in in a near-immersion fashion, which is great. The problem I am having is that in the Swedish course, the demand to use the microphone and proper pronunciation. The very first word the app asks me to say is the greeting, "hej" (hello), pronounced like "hay" in English, but the system does not recognise this and the only way I can get it to recognise I am saying anything and pass the first "test" is to say "hi" which is a completely incorrect pronunciation. Frustrating. 🤦🏼♂️

Good app for learning with good speech recognition. too many adverts on free version. makes it unusable even to test it.
I tried the French and Japanese lessons and it keeps registering errors when I repeat everything exactly how it is told to me. Really frustrating
adds every one and a half min ? hell nah
