I'm happy to pay for apps where I feel like I'm paying for worthy features, not blocked out of the entire purpose of the app (to track distance).
Anything above 1.5km being put behind a paywall is ridiculous.
you need to spend $7 to actually be able to track more than one mile each day. Just make the app cost $7 ffs 😭

Бесплатно лимит в 1.5 км в день. Что бы этого достичь даже напрягаться не надо, достаточно до кухни пару раз дойти. Можно купить снятие лимита, но все функции приложения (типо делиться с друзьями) всё-равно только по подписке.

The app doesn't track steps/distance correctly at all. I had both Strava and this thing opened, Strava recorded 4.3 km and this app? Around one kilometre. I have, in my 3 days of using Fantasy Hike app, lost over 8 km of progress. Sorry, but this is unacceptable.
No useful feature without paying
only 1500 steps per day. If you want to use the app you need to buy the premium version
On random days, the app will completely disregard all steps I've taken. It's happened too many times now, and with no way to manually enter that distance, Fantasy Hike no longer motivates me. Bummer. Edited to add: I had reached out to support with my issue when it first started in September of 2025, and they had me do a few things to resync my data, and nothing worked. They would not help me further.

Amusing app. I love the concept. I was enjoying it. It tracked the first week just fine. On April 17th it tracked 0.88km from 6.6km. From 18th onwards it hasn't tracked anything. Connecting to Health-Connect didn't help either. 6.50€ waisted. I deleted and redownloaded the app. It does not recognise any old data except from the purchase. So I am starting again, we will see if it works this time, probably not. The unlimited tracking should be free. Premium should be a small one-time purchase.

I was really excited about this but I guess it didn't calibrate correctly, it missed at least half of my travels/kms. really disappointing. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still didn't help. if anything got worse and didnt count an hour of walking time this past evening. so sad.
It's a fun idea but the tracking seems inconsistent as to what it tracks. For example, with my phone in ankle holster, I rode my indoor bike an equivalent of 14mi according to the exercise app. This app logged it as 0.5mi. Today, running errands around the office, my step tracker puts me at 3.5miles. Fantasy hike shows me at 1mi. Meanwhile, Mr. Underhill is 23mi ahead of me having done 30mi while I slept? o wait, in super fine print it says you're limited to 1mi per day unless you pay a fee.
the idea is good, but the execution failed. I used the app for a day, and only in the evening I found out that the limit is 1.5 km per day. It was very frustrating and disappointing, because in this case the trip would last more than 5 years... Unless, of course, you flip a gold coin. There is no way without a payment :'( it completely kills at least some fun
fun idea but you can only walk a mile a day without buying premium and you also can't see your friends stats without premium I would like if you could give free users unlimited miles at least
Used this for a year, but day one into a new year it puts a limit of one mile a day for tracking unless you pay. It's a shame because it was a "free because it has banner ads" kind of app, and while I'm certainly not opposed to creators getting money for their creations, I simply won't be using it any more.
knock off lord of the rings app
This seemed like a fun app, but the daily walking limit is too low to be useful. It only allows you to walk like one mile a day. I walk in the evenings, and that is about halfway around my block. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone because it doesn't really challenge a person to do more. I gave it two stars for creativity.
could not for the life of me get it to connect to my step counter. Fitbit does it just fine, but no matter how many times i started the app or tweaked the settings or gave them access to data, it wouldn't connect. could be user error (which is why I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1). would happily be proved wrong as this was a cool concept i really wanted to like
