everything in my house broke and needed to be reset after an update. all my groups gone too. some lights no longer turn on either with a lightswitch or the app. also asking people to sign up for an account on a light switch app is stupid.
My lightbulb worked just fine until last night for some reason. The bulb just randomly said "cannot connect to network" out of nowhere, so I tried unpairing it. Biggest mistake i could've made. It then refused to connect AT ALL. Bulb wouldn't even get detected by my phone anymore. I tried switching wifis, updating the app, resetting the bulb, resetting the wifi. Hell. I tried unplugging the lamp and it didn't do anything. I don't know what you guys did to your bulbs but undo it.
Don't buy anything from this company. This app started as a good, simple app, but now it constantly demands more permissions than it needs.

pure junk. bulb is cool but the app to control it doesn't work at all. as in you cant even register
suddenly Feit decided to update their software. I lost my login. I lost my account. all the devices in my house which controlled by the app lost. It asking me to add the devices. what a job. This is really sucks. Boooo to feit and their software engineers. They did crab job. No respect to their users I don't know how to mark them down 👎👎👎👎👎
was 5 star before last update. now zero as complete unusable. had been able to use Alexa flawlessly . Troubleshooting lead me back to the feit app. serious problem App alternates between being connected and disconnected to the lights, if going into light settings going back out causes it to be the opposite of what it just was. so if connected before it will now be disconnected. Alexa skill now completely broke and unusable with feit electric App even though relinked and followed instructions.
I have 10 Feit cameras and 4 of them are constantly offline
4 years I've been using this app but all of a sudden you want me to create an account to use the features I've been using? NO!
ran these bulbs for oh about 2 yrs thought they were good at first then after about 1/2 a year they slowly started not connecting to the WiFi and would just blink extremely frustrating as I did the whole house up. Do not recommend,however the Govee bulbs seem to be doing great with the easiest setup evah
this bulb won't stop turning on, immediately after turning it off and then if it's left on, it keeps changing colors. I did all the recommendations and on doing so noticed the remote option on the app keeps toggling itself on. it's been happening for a month now, waking my family up all night and it's running up my electric bill that I'm already struggling with. I tried reaching out on the app for help and the app won't let me respond when customer support replys. I have screenshots of that.
Aweful. took 30 min and 3 google searches to find a secondary way to get it to see the dang bulb and that's after the nutty requirements that are not at all required once it finds the thing. also schedule seems useless. maybe it's only for power. It needs to allow schedule of light temp at times of day. so over 30 minutes wasted just getting a light to turn on without blinking. what a waste. buy dumb bulbs because smart bulbs are stupid.
Was fine for years, recent changes make this app more difficult to navigate and there's some either flaw or poor programming involved where a single light in a group suddenly is unpaired/unresponsive. Update: lights that I tried to restart will no longer pair at all, no matter what I try. I am pissed that I have invested in so many lights in my entire home and what was once a great system is now just unusable garbage. 🤬
I've had these light bulbs for a few yrs now and loved how easy it was to add them to the app and integrate w/ Alexa. After a recent update and then a small power outage, the app will no longer respond to the bulbs. The bulbs work fine independently, will even reconnect to the app but the app will eventually say the bulbs are offline prompting me to try to reset them. Resetting them has been difficult. The app says my wifi pswd is bad(not) or they are added but won't respond. FIX THE APP PLEASE!
Can't find the option to re format the SD card to delete old videos. No response, terrible support.

This thing SUCKS!! It worked great before the update, now it won't connect to half of my lights. I reconnect the network connection and the lights and it says its connected, but the lights won't change color or respond to ANYTHING. Im seriously about to change brand of lights. This app is so horrible and they won't update it.
The bulbs they make are pretty good quality, but the app is absolute trash. so much so that, even though the bulbs are still working well, I am buying a whole new set from a different brand so I do not have to mess with this app anymore. Overall, I consider this a waste of money and would not buy again simply because the app is so terrible.

I've had these Feit lights well over 3 years now and didn't have a problem with them up until recently. Even though I have them on a set schedule they stay on ALL DAY ALL NIGHT! This is just ridiculous! If I wanted them to stay on, I might as well had bought regular light bulbs and save me the headache and energy. There was a power outage a few weeks ago and I know that would not have anything to do with what's going on with these bulbs because we've had outages before. App and bulbs suck!
....and back to the store to return. doesn't pair
A year or so ago, I'd have given 5 stars easily, it was a great app, very simple, intuitive interface, and very easy to add new devices to your home with it. Now....it's nearly impossible to add any new devices. It took me 5 days off and on fighting with the app, force stopping it and uninstalling then reinstalling it, just to add 6 light bulbs, and still have 4 more to do. I'm about ready to return all my new lights to Costco and swear off this brand forever at this point.
Really disappointed with this app. I have used Feit bulbs for a while, but the Feit "Smart Light" that I bought might as well be just another bulb. The app is completely unreliable.

after last update the app is very unreliable. I turn on schedules and the app turns them off randomly. i expect the lights off at 8pm and it works for a day or two then stops, I go into the app and the schedule is turned off. Also randomly the app can't talk to light bulbs, in 8 years I never had this issue but after the last update it happens randomly all the time. I have to delete the light bulb and add it back to get the app to talk to it again. Please clean up the app!
this app is horrible at changing light settings and interacting with Google. stuff goes offline all the time i regret spending any money on these devices at all

Recently the app started to display ads when opening the app. we need an option to remove. I do not like being forced to see an ad. I will not promote this product if you cannot do that

It was the worst app I ever installed on my Android phone. All my settings disappear and need to be set again regularly. What kind of an incompetent appl designer created this?
App is garbage, and so are the bulbs. The app signed itself out on one of my two phones, so now that phone's app is on a "trial account" with nowhere in the app to find a place to sign into my regular account. And apparently Feit's lights don't work well with newer WI-FI bands. This is probably why they're on the bottom shelf at the hardware store.

*Takes 4 taps to get from a push notification to the video recording. The video does not show a progress bar so if there's no movement in the video, you can't be sure you're watching a video or just looking at a picture. ** Taking down to one star now because I also can't turn off the light while I'm outside enjoying the evening. Why is it impossible to turn off the light?!
If I could give this zero stars, I would. Out of the blue, I was forced to sign in again, but, it won't let me. I have a previous account it won't let me log in to. This will mean deleting and grinding through the horrible process of redoing everything. Again. One of the worst apps ever. Things have been OK. It's not intuitive in the slightest. I was able to control groups of lights at once and now, that function seems to have just disappeared.
Horrible app. Endlessly frustrating: having to repeatedly re-pair light bulbs multiple times a day. You cant change any settings without reverting other random settings. this app has been so irritating I feel it has genuinely dimished my quality of life in some way. apps like this are why we need a negative star rating system too so I can express just *how* bad this app is. and there is absolutely no support. i hope you didnt already buy one of their products
The app design and layout and set up is great but the bulbs are garbage. I've been using this product for years but I had to stop. Every time I turned around I had a bulb fail. I was replacing bulbs in all the fixtures between every 6 and 12 months. The big 100 watt equivalent bulbs were expensive too. some died completely and some the colors would die. I'd use the colors and then a couple days later try it again and the only colors I'd have is white and red. That was the most common failure.

This is the worst app for smart lights out there. There are so many pairing issues. Even after a light is paired, it'll randomly go offline. Do not buy bulbs that work with Feit Electric.
constant app and bulb failure....feit states it's my problem not theirs when I can ensure you it is not 7 older bulbs work perfectly fine all new ones fail or disconnect constantly even tried at friends house looking for a better product and better company you get what ya pay for and these are now terrible
This is the worst smart home app on the play store. It doesn't do the basics well. Like changing the temperature of lighting is difficult. Avoid all Feit Electric consumer smart lighting at all costs.
