absolutely unplayable. no matter how many times I delete an reinstall, it will pop up verifying file expansion, get to 100% an crash, and auto crash everytime you try to launch it from there on. This is on a 2023 Google pixel running android 16, I brought the play pass just to try this game on my foldable, absolute shame.
This was the last product I'll ever buy from Square Enix. I'm done with this company. I saved 3 times, played through the same scene 3 times, wasted 4 hours all because when I save, it isn't actually saving and I go to load to continue playing and it only recognizes the save point I'm currently at. I can't play this game. I wasted my money on a cellphone port that is worse than a pirated PSE version. honestly don't buy Square Enix games, they're not finished ever.
Cannnot get past the gas chamber because you cannot hit two buttons at once like on an original PS1 controller. Don't buy!
the audacity, this is a literally a 30 year old game, and not only did you elect to charge for it but also you did nothing to improve it at all it loons like a 2005 emulator for crying out loud, if I didnt have play pass and didnt pay out pocket for this game, I would never forgive the devs who released tbis

it's my favorite game during my childhood.i was excited this game with android version.however the performance was poor with frequent shutdown which is annoying. hopefully this could be repaired.
Despite all the feedback the developers haven't fixed the issues. The bike scene is unplayable and the restart button part covers the main play button!! So many times I've accidentally reset and lost progress ive now given up. Hopefully I can get a refund!

game crashes and restarts losing progress. there is a full screen icon in the corner overlapping the A button. if this full screen icon is touched then the game crashes and restarts back to the main menu. whilst this does add a new peril to the interface it largely makes the game frustrating and unplayable.

bad I use chrome book and no music. the only buttons that I can use to control are arrow buttons to move enter button to select and the v button for menu and c to deselect. they should have an option to set controls in game between keyboard and touch screen. it was my favorite game which makes it a real big downer
good and bad I got about 2hrs into it saved. next day game won't even load up.

Buy a different port instead, this port doesn't run good at all. I played FF 1-6 and this FF game is the only one with major issues making it the worst play store purchase I've made
I’ve heard so much hype about Final Fantasy VII, but the Android version runs really slow and laggy. There’s no way to tweak or optimize any settings, which makes it frustrating. I even tried the permission trick another review mentioned, but there aren’t any permissions to enable. I’m giving it 2 stars for now. I’m just glad I didn’t pay full price for it. If you’re thinking of trying it, I’d recommend checking it out on PlayPass instead it’s under $5 and doesnt have this premium price.
nice to revisit but so far it's been very buggy
Unplayable due to a weird button, looks. like a full screen button, on the lower right. accidentally pressing it returns me to the title and I lose my progress. Whatever that button is, it needs to be removed
