the link for terms and conditions as well as privacy policy won't open anything. im not dumb enough to click "I ageee" to something I can't read.

Latest 2.22.15 and 2.22.100 update broke the ability to see external temp sensor. When I go back to 2.21.8, it fixes the problem and the outdoor temperature and humidity sensor now show up! PLEASE fix this on future updates and notify me of when this will be fixed. Also wish list is to add more features like temperature/humidity tracking over time plus more clarity on when backup heat will be engaged. 5-6-2026 update. nobody ever fixed this problem and now the app forces people to update....
This doorbell shouldn't exist. We got it installed on our home and I can't believe the builder made such a poor choice considering alternatives for a lot less. Video quality; garbage, two way talk; garbage (maybe worse), notifications; same notification 10x a day at random times, obviously garbage. I wish I didn't have to say this. Whoever approved this product to the market should be fired. Garbage.
The thermostat keeps going off line. It might be on line about 50% of the time. Unacceptable. especially because I live 1,300 moles away and gave no control.
The app for Android is currently broken. it's fine on my GFs iPhone, but stuck on the loading screen for Android
Confusing and difficult to use. Issues logging in.
won't open
Found out the Resideo app replaced the TCC app. Then try to login to Resideo app and it says I need the First Alert app. I installed that app and and it doesn't offer any option for my 2 wifi 9000 thermostats.
Doesn't let you back out of it. Clunky. No api integration. Junk
not intuitive
false alarm all the time
app wont let me login guess I'll uninstall what a waste of time
Have emailed support several times because the scheduling does not work on thermostat. No replies. A product is only as good as the company support. Will not buy another Resideo product.
won't connect to sc5 smoke detector. tried multiple phones and won't find after batteries needed replacement. didn't last 9 months. support website has not clear method of contacting for this model. I suppose another wasted "smart" device destined for the garbage. won't buy this brand again.
Both of my thermostats have been going offline periodically for two days for no reason.
Constantly logged me out. for no reason. When I open the app don't see devices for a while (like a minute) until it loads. Also most of the time devices don't load at all. need to close the app, reopen, and need to do it a few times to get success, that if I'm lucky, I can finally change the temperature on my device. And what's wrong with developers that to get access to First Alert you still need to go through old app, Resideo login. Why is it so hard to solve this problem on management level?
either stop making the back button from your home screen default to logging off or give us a chance to remember pw. sick and tired of "accidentally" pressing back just to find out I've logged out. who the f wants to log off
Alarm just went off at 4am and would not silence. no smoke...had to take battery out to silence
forcing update then telling me it ant work on my device is evil bs
absolute waste of time! three phone calls complete runaround not the correct information and on the box this product the thermostat says that it is a smart thermostat that I can control it from an app on my phone. you cannot complete waste of time!! 2026 and you can't have an app on your phone that controls your thermostat? ridiculous!!
won't stay connected wifi
Terrible app and support..on the Android App no way to dismiss alerts and no way to delete an old Smoke detector....this is a profoundly broken application not supporting basic use cases.
this app is horrible...bought it to use with a honeywell thermostat...does not work with thumb print...or pass code...had to go buy a google thermostat so I did not have to use this app....half star.
This app is pure garbage. It is incompatible with my Google Pixel 10 XL Pro running Android 16. I can get it to work on an old OnePlus 8T running Android 14 but that I do not use any more, After I put in my user name and password on the new phone it takes me back to the sign-in screen with no error. Once in a great while the app will open after sign-in but it shows nothing related to my T10+ Pro thermostat. Just a white screen with banner across the top showing the app is open.
Won't connect to my Honeywell thermostat and I've lost the Alexa connection. Junk. Why did you change it?
First Alert app is not compatible with the T-Moble Gateway network. You cannot access the X2S Smart Thermostat via the app.
1 Star until dark mode is implemented. Blaring white screen at night while trying to change the temp from bed never fails to wake me up. Dark mode is easy to implement, GET ON IT! It's completely unacceptable at this point.
Absolutely garbage experience with setup and account verification. Also it is crazy to have an app in 2024 with no dark mode. No one wants to be blinded in the middle of the night if they need to adjust the thermostat.
this app is constantly crashes. I'm debating on returning my SC5 detectors which were supposed to replace my nest protects. there's too many issues with them. their load throughout the day.
app is buggy. a lot of times when I open the app it just doesnt do anything. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. nothing seems to fix it. when the app works, it's fine.
I had Resideo app for my t-stat and it worked great. I was told to switch to their new app, which I did. Now I can not program my t-stat as it is tied to the old app and I can not access the old app. lots of customer service videos but no phone number or chat line for help. thanks for the 'upgrade?' there is a phone number below and I'll delete this if they callback and fix the issue
Humidity alerts are delayed by days. Thermostat lost wifi briefly and now won't communicate with the app. App needs work. I get alerts that are 3 days old.
I couldn't add any devices to the app. Keep asking for "enable location permissions" It was enabled under the settings off the app. On your webpage "Distributors and other trusted business partners. We may share your personal information with third parties that distribute our products and other trusted business partners for purposes that include allowing those third parties to send marketing communications to you" , but the app say's "No data shared with third parties" ???
gives poor directions for adding the T6 thermostat. pretty sure they made this new app because their previous one had so many negative reviews.
Had to install this app only to generate the QR-Code to connect a Honeywell thermostat. App forced me to create an account for this and asked for way too many permissions for such a simple task. App keeps ignoring settings on the thermostat - C vs. F or 24H.
No dark mode - the worst when you need to change the temp at night. Layout is confusing, spent a lot of time locating basic functionality and hitting roadblocks. Haven't figured out how to add the extra sensor for my thermostat, pretty sure it's not through the app. System status is useless - Air conditioner wasn't even working and it just said "running". Also, the default configuration sucks, plan to answer 300 questions to setup sane heat/cool limits. "Hold" feature feels old and clunky.
Stopped working
the app works half of the time. slow to open and never is consistent.
cannot even log into the app. forced to use it.
worthless app. Difficult to navigate, you can't skip the different app features, HVAC, video, water. l only wanted to access the water sensor part of the app. there was no way to skip past the other parts of the app. Don't waste your time on this app or any Honeywell web based apps.
App kicks me to my web browser to create/verify an account. Once the account is created the login process again just opened a new tab in my browser then freezes up trying to sign in. 1 Star I do not recommend this app if it can be avoided.
First Alert requires you to create an account AND share your location just to use their smoke detectors. This is unacceptable for a life-safety device. Not everyone has a smartphone or wants to hand over personal data just to detect smoke. I couldn't use the detectors I paid for because of these requirements and have filed a formal complaint with the BBB. Shameful practice for a product that's supposed to save lives. That didn't work still
once you get any false alert notification, you can't clear it out and it constantly sends notifications that there's smoke even when there is none. how can you trust a smoke alarm if it's always giving you a false alarm and you can't clear it out of the app? there's zero customer service to fix it. it's worse... now they just constantly go off and the app says "unable to mute alarm" when you try to mute the alarm. finally got it to silence by disconnecting the wiring and pulling out the battery.
horrible
This app is terrible, actually it's ridiculous compared to the Total Connect App. The app takes longer to load only to see very limited info, unlike the TCC app, it doesn't show if AC or heat is on or off, it doesn't even show if fan is circulating, seriously? This app needs some serious updates fast. it's useless if your away and its not showing us real time status, isn't that the whole purpose of the App? And the name, OMG, First Alert sounds like a medical device. I have 30 days to return 🤔
App seems easy for controlling my wifi thermostat however it will not let me connect to Alexa because Alexa recognizes the original Resideo app version. The original version, makes you download the First Alert version.I have reached out to the company for assistance. not happy that I spent all this money to install a wifi thermostat and now cant use it because of a app upgrade!!!!!!!!!!!!!
