I can't get in.
I love Food Lion but this app sucks so bad. It's extremely laggy, it constantly freezes and crashes. When I order for pickup, it never knows what time my order is and just says "null". Sometimes it decides I can't chat with my shopper or it will say I don't even have a shopper, even when I was just talking to them and I just got a notification that they messaged me. Horrible experience overall. I like the convenience of using my phone so it sucks that I usually have to switch to my desktop.
I made an account a while back to see if I could order delivery with EBT. At the time it wasn't an option, so I never used it. I logged in today and found out it was, so I was really excited to use the app. Well, it won't let me add my EBT card to the app, says the number is invalid, and it won't even let me create an MVP rewards card! I thought maybe I had made one before and forgotten so I tried to add one with my name and number, but that didn't work either! I guess I cant use it at all.
Monday night I put an order in for 5:00 p.m. pick up on Tuesday and starting at 8:00 in the morning it said I only had an hour left to put stuff in the card which normally I would have until 3:00 p.m. now it says that the order is in progress and I cannot add anything and it's only 10:30 in the morning
Food Lion is my favorite grocery store but has the WORST app. I exclusively order my groceries through pickup. I order from Harris Teeter, Publix, BJs, and Sams Club on a near-weekly basis. Food Lion is the only one with app issues during EVERY purchase. Cant fill your cart, checkout, chat with the shopper, or check in at pickup without issues. At some point, the lack of convenience will outweigh the cost savings and I'll fully migrate away from FL if the app doesnt improve significantly.
I downloaded the app to use while I recover from surgery. Unfortunately, it won't allow me to even create an account. So, that defeats the whole purpose.

Could never get app to work. Always had to have employee scan their card/number. App is pointless and worthless.

cannot even get into the website
biometric login doesn't work keeps saying you're logged out. link mvp doesn't work. create new mvp doesn't work. can't create a shopping list without mvp, can't get mvp if it doesn't work.
the app keeps signing me out and when I try and sign back in, mid shopping by the way... it just looks back to asking me to sign in. I deleted and redownloaded and it did it again after about 10 minutes. useless.
Shop & Earn no longer loads in the app. plus they got rid of the shopping lists which I used every week to plan my shopping. When they made that change I pretty much stopped shopping at Food Lion.
Update 5/14/2025....why do this app need a wifi connection to work when I'm away from home🤨Why can't I use my mobile data, which works fine with other apps when im away from home wifi🤨I don't carry a wifi router in my bag when I leave the house🤔Update 4/15/2026 Explain to me what happened to my Shop & Save Reward balance of $7😡😠😧🧐It just disappeared from my account sometime yesterday😧I think I'm going to delete this account 😠Toooo many problems 😧
Don't clip the Food Lion coupons too fast in this app or it will tell you to try again in a few minutes! Ridiculous! What are you afraid of? Do you want me to shop here or not? Take off the time restriction on clipping coupons. I need to clip & go shopping. I don't have time to waste going back & forth to the app to clip what I need to my own account. The app already verifies my account when I open it and that should be enough. UGH.
Chat with shopper option disappears randomly. Can't use your saved cards if you choose a pick up time before checkout. Inconsistent order status after shopping starts - sometimes it says received, sometimes in progress. Overall terrible experience since new app was implemented

right in the middle of shopping my order disappeared. your site is not user friendly. guess I go back to Walmart.
This App has recently been displaying a "verifying the device" Nag Screen repeatedly when loading, and today was the second time it locked me out when I went to view my clipped coupons. A white page appeared with a Web address containing the word "interstitial" and said "access blocked." When I reloaded the App, it had signed out my account and insisted that my username and password didn't match store records. These sorts of interruptions are highly annoying and make this App not worth using.
App doesn't work anymore. Used to work great. Now it gets stuck in a loop of asking me my payment method and when I select it it sends me back to my cart to checkout....over and over again. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. Made sure the app was up to date. Nothing makes it work. Very frustrating.
Was due to pick up an order between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. Around 7:00 a.m. the order was marked in progress. I got a message from the shopper about a replacement. All good. I open the app again and the order is back in received status and my chat is gone. I have no idea what the progress is on my order or when to pick it up. Also, I first logged into the app on mobile data and now whenever I try to log in while connected to Wi-Fi it won't let me in because it thinks I'm on a different device.
I have been trying to check out for the last 3 or 4 hours.
For some odd reason all of sudden I am having some issues with this app it keeps signing me out so I constantly have to keep signing in. Plus it doesn't work when I sign in sometimes either. I tired uninstalling it and reinstalling it. So that's why it got one star.
This App keeps sign me out every 5 seconds or less after i sign back in to my account and then it sign me out and again and again and again and again and again. What is this? and yes every 5 seconds or less 5 secs it signs me out. please fix this...

app closes when you tap join now on the shop & earn page. trying to link my mvp on instacart but says no number found. saw that I can link the FL app with instacart but can't even use the FL app.
For 2 weeks straight, the app crashes when I try to filter my coupons by redeem date. My app is up to date so, I don't know why its crashing out.
can't communicate with person getting groceries, seldom has substitutions, can't cancel order, will not be using food lion app nor go to their store anymore. I'm always missing items from delivery and getting charged. I need something more reliable.

the curbside pick up option is horrible. says" you have a message for your order" click it and no message available. arrive at store and no "arrived at store" option and have to call and wait another 15-30 minutes for my order to be brought out. garbage app.

It asks me to verify my email address, but when I briefly exit the app to check my Gmail, it refreshes the login screen and makes me create my account all over again in an endless loop. If that wasn't bad enough, I am not receiving any verification code.
shop and earn rewards should be applied to the order you shop and earn from AT THAT TIME. most people like me are already squeezing our belts too tight as it is. rewards go to next trip!!? ain't have means to buy anything else. but food Lion has the extra extra bucks to do all these MONEY SAVING programs why don't y'all have a charity fund for people who are a little short online. I thought I had more means to get what I wanted but nope had to do without a lot. bare minimum already!!! help!!!
you keep updating everything in my phone will not let me update so I miss out on getting my rewards which is the pits
