I recently found the app Merlin Bird ID. That allows me to find bird caches that don't require waste paper & are much more often found where I stop. 1/20/26 After almost 9 yrs of supporting this game. The fact that WASTE paper is required to place a new cache has turned me off to this game. I will be canceling my subscription before it renews. I have enjoyed & supported this game financially since I started 9 yrs ago. Sadly, Because of the rule requiring wasting paper. I'll be canceling.
navigation hasn't been working lately. been off by more then 100+ feet lately
This app is basically useless without the 7€/mo subscription. Caches are made premium-exclusive without consent by cache owners. ~70% of caches are now premium exclusive.
I have used this app for 10 years and never has it ever worked so poorly. I thought updates were supposed to make things better, not progressively worse. Ever since the new update, caches do not appear on the trails map anymore, you have to go to the satellite map first. Also, the map doesn't always track your position and falls behind, you have to go into Google maps to correct this, which makes no sense. this was not an issue until the recent update. Now you can't write maintenance logs.

If I try to create an account it says there is already an account tied to my email. if I try to sign in with that email there is no account ties to the email. I tried with a different account and got the same thing

coming back to this to see that they got greedy, probably overstaffed for needing to monetize and ruin what was a great fun service.
Attempted several different usernames that are all taken, why the 1 star? Because every time you attempt a username that is taken you must reverse back out of that screen and log in again to attempt a new username, if you don't the "Continue" button remains greyed out and can't be used.
you need to pay for caches that cost 7 dollars a month. or have the free version that doesn't even have half the caches in an area, or if you're unlucky, you get none in a mile radius . mind you, it's an exploring app not paying 7 dollars since the free caches we gave you are trash, and they are stupidity spaced out from each other. yeah, this app just currently sucks
My wife and I supported this app from the beginning when it was $15.99. I put it on her phone and mine. Then they do updates and charge monthly. we don't feel it's fair we and everyone else who supported should have been grandfathered in. There's nowhere in app that I found to message company. so this is how I'm communicating with them. Give everyone who supported you from early and paid $15.99 full access. thanks app is great we love doing it but only can get little ones without paying monthly.
Horrible experience using app. The app continued trying to charge me after I had ended membership. I also had back up payment options blocked but they still somehow charged my wife's credit card. do not use this app if you value your money and value not having it stolen
Pretty fun the first time using this app, but when you have taken on a couple caches you realize that the only fun caches cost money and that destroys everything so please make the app completely free.
great app but need premium.
when I have this app installed on my phone it causes a lot of spammy sites to pop up anytime it likes. outside of the app

when ever I try to get on the app it takes like 20 seconds then kicks me off I try to restart my phone but it doesn't work it doesn't work even if I have wifi I dont know if its my phone because I have and android or what it is
