horrible, went back to web version. not sure who designed it but way of on what a professional app should look like. horribly inefficient ux design will leave you confused.

Entire platform has been broken. Neither https not ssh works anymore.
The platform started to train AI with everyone's public repositories. You can opt out but it's enabled by default and you have to find the setting, therefore most users won't even notice it. Scumbags

I don't know what I expected, but since there's several links to settings I at least assumed you could change your settings. This app is filled with links forcing you to log in through the apps built in browser, which doesn't support their own login methods, the app also lacks several features present in the web version, and forces use of app instead of web version on phone. Since I installed the app, using GitHub on mobile has become more frustrating, and certain tasks have become Impossible.
Why do you need a copilot button in the app itself to take up a prime location where the profile button used to be? Apart from marketing your junk that is. Now for what I consider important I have to click 2-3x more and you're spamming the screen with rubbish. And Gemini is better anyway.
this app is the best thing that can happen to developers and programmers , It amazes me every day, I strongly recommend it as a copilot, it can be your best workmate , I would only ask for one thing more to make the chat inside vs code on the same quality of the mobile app chat , I do always feel the chat inside vs code has a less quality on understanding and responding but on coding and helping on debugging it's stunning, ( 1 start because they removed opus from pro plan and it's critical )
Practicing on alternatives. Getting too agentic for me. They run Copilot by default on commit messages. All "slop" aside, why are corporations so wasteful with how AI is being pushed everywhere they can think of, while simultaneously complaining about power and compute? They can break their own privacy policy and get a fine of 1% the profit made from data collection and r&d, then get that written off too. Don't trust your private repos are private.

appalling anti user service. it seems to be company policy at GitHub to hate the user, either that or the person they hired to design their processes has a white stick and black glasses. try registering for the education service, an awful process. then try getting support, somehow even worse. as for co pilot, I don't think I've ever spoken to an AI bot that's been programmed to have an attitude problem. first impressions are important. my first impressions of this organisation is terrible.

My mobile app is not working
For a forge of this prominence, backed by who it's backed, there are too many missing features, janky UI quirks, and one or two bugs that are glaring show stoppers for the affected features.
The app is missing a lot of features. After the latest update I can't seem to even add an issue anymore. Note sure what's happening there. There are plenty of things this app doesn't have which has me trying to use the web version on my anyway.
Severely limited and buggy. Projects view returns 0 personal projects.
probably no more human verifing this app. the app is so full of bugs and annoyance. filter do not work, hard to navigate to the items that matters. I can only guess it's lifecycle is only handled by AI by now. probably soon only AI will use it as it sucks for humans
