June 2026 EVERY TIME I OPEN THE APP I HAVE TO REDO ALL THE COOKIE SETTINGS THIS IS VERY VERY ANNOYING AND TIME WASTING AND MEANS I WILL FIND A NEW APP TO CHECK EMAILS IF GOOGLE PLAY HAD A ZERO STAR RATING I WOULD PICK THAT THIS IS HAPPENING NOW WITH NO CHANGES TO APP OR DEVICE SETTINGS 100% IRRITATING Does NOT work.... 1st March 2024.. Still not working was working but after updating it has stopped working

Sign up process constantly fails. Worthless.
They changed this app, when I sent email there is notification "sending email..." and then very oftenafter two seconds it writes "email cannot be sent". It is not saved in drafts and I have write everything from the beginning. Terrible. When printing sent email out, the date of sending is not written. So, it is better to avoid GMX when sending official email and use a different email app. I couldn't find where to change my password. Too much advertising from GMX in my mail box

Ad implementation is a middle finger to their users. They look like fake emails and half the time they inject themselves right before you swipe to delete an email, causing you to delete a different email, likely an important one. Inexcusable and unacceptable.
Can't even sign up to GMX, based in UK, completed the stupid captcha, got an error every time, tried the app, diff browsers, WiFi in two different homes under two different isp's (BT and community fibre) wouldn't even recommend this to an enemy.

tried signing up on the PC & the captcha failed multiple times, then tried on the app with the same results. That's it, good riddance

Dreadful support/customer service non-existent - emails from 'support' seem scammy/hacked, and direct you to non-GMX websites to give all your personal data. No working option to reset password via GMX themselves (like I say, it looks as if they have been hacked)

Überhaupt nicht zu empfehlen. DER Free-Mail Provider mit der exzessivsten Werbe-und Tracker Flut. Sowohl die Webseite als auch die App lassen sich nur noch kostenfrei nutzen, wenn man personalisierter Werbung, Trackern UND Werbe-Emails auf seiner Emailadresse zustimmt. Jeder muss Geld verdienen, aber das ist einfach nur noch übertrieben und abartig. Ich werde den Provider jetzt wechseln.
very unstable, no imap or pop3 working anymore since few days ago so I deactivated my email account.. never back again, there are better solutions..

Real qualities
Nice mail provider I picked up years ago to be able to get a particular address. Their spam filter is too aggressive and good Mail ends up in spam a lot. Since theyre not a well known email domain, your emails will also end up in everyone else's spam folder. moderate amount of Ads in your inbox which is annoying. Worthwhile after all that to have an email that doesn't rely on Gmail or Yahoo.

It's not great. The app lacks the ability to fully customise. The design and layout are out of date and clunky. I don't enjoy using the app.

total bs. have tried about 100 times over the past 6 months & it NEVER is abke to create an actual accout. ALWAYS an error requuribg you to start over. who can trust them if they can't even get the setup right. giving 2stars bc goigle won't include 1 star in average, & won't let you review with zero stars.
Also ständig sind irgendwelche Bugs, geht mir langsam ziemlich auf die Nerven. Inzwischen muss ich gmx jedes 2. Mal schließen und wieder öffnen, damit es funktioniert. Er hängt sich einfach auf. Inzwischen muss ich auch jedes Mal nachschauen, ob meine Mail wirklich raus geht, weil er sie nicht einfach rausschickt, sondern immer Probleme hat.
I tried to create an account to stop using Gmail, but the sign-up process gets stuck at the step with captcha photo. I have tried many times but in vain, I get the same error. What do I need to do to create an account?
I LUV gmx however for the past couple of days I have been unable to log into my gmx email on my desktop computer. When I try to log in I get redirected to the help center. So I thought I should reset my password but then I get an invalid error message. I really do not feel like looking for another email provider. Up til now I would have given gmx 4 stars 🤔😡
