Fake App for Spoofing
The worst note writing app to ever exist. Firstly the app is very laggy and poorly optimised. Some pages don't load all together and you have to restart the app to load them. Basic features like erasing with the S-pen randomly stop working. They have the worst dev team who just keep switching between the same features and somehow make it worse every time. Use any other note making app and your life will be better

updating after using for almost 3 years~ Still so glitch! idk why I paid to use this app again...takes forever to load and always giving me error code glitchy and always restarting, also the detection of your hand on the screen to make a note seriously gets in the way! Bummer, especially after paying for it already...
horrible, if you're usin a galaxy tab or basically anything other than an ipad the app is not compatable but they don't tell you that beforehand. you will experience delays and frustrating lags. It's just a really bad experience and false marketing on their part. if I could give it 0 stars I would.

lagging when writing and i think so its not a native app on my samusung tab its showing its using galaxy internet to run.

Seems like this app is just a wrapper for the web version. When i launched the app, running in Chrome immediately showed up, lol. No wonder there is so much lagging whenever im writing, zooming in or out, and basically everything... Not recommended
Horribly "optimized". This is the laggiest, least responsive app I have ever used, even beyond note taking apps. Do NOT recommend for any tasks, especially note taking. The app lags beyond belief, crashes constantly, and the download pdf function just does not work. Goodnotes has claimed that they are making the Samsung experience more like the Apple experience, but with how infrequently the app is updated this is simply not true. Updates often break the app more. Avoid like the plague.

Some features like convert to text and resize of text are not working. Overall user experience the app feels not optimized for android. There are some delays when opening notes, converting handwritten to text, selecting text using the lasso tool. If you can deliver a great user experience at IOS environment, why could you not apply it to android environment?

Hab die App seit Anfang des Schuljahres. Meine beste Freundin hat die IOS Version, ich die Android. Am Anfang hat es sich immer aufgehängt wegen jeder Kleinigkeit. Hab dann mein Tablet neu gestartet dann ging es wieder eine Zeit lang. Hat sich irgendwann nicht mehr öffnen lassen für ein paar Stunden und hat sich dauern aufgehängt was dann random wieder weg war. Und jetzt funktioniert es seit 2 Tagen wieder nicht. Ich kann nichts mehr machen. Sehr nervig. Außerdem fehlen viele IOS Funktionen!

I spent several hours writing out data I needed and it deleted 2 whole pages. It used to work fine but has become worthless lately. Going back to Microsoft which never gave me 1 problem.
Not optimized at all
I can't believe how bad this works between Android and Apple ecosystem. It's 2026, cross platforms, devices and OS is table stakes.
I used this app for studying for notes and review and in a blink of an eye everything was gone and I could not recover it back. it was super laggy and barley could do anything.
Terrible lag when doing simple tasks such as writing with the basic pen tool.

Man bezahlt zwar nicht allzu viel hierfür aber trotzdem stürzt Good notes mehrmals in nur ein paar Minuten bei mir ab. teilweise kann ich dann gar nichts mehr machen.

It deleted ALL MY NOTES. The app deleted WEEKS of material for my class. Now I can't REVIEW ANYTHING!!

Please beware of this app!!! Even if you unsuscribe from google and even in app. They will still bill you. It is impossible to get any support from them and they keep directing you to a bot AI that doesnt know what you are asking it. Beware of this app. It is not even that good and crashes with you loosing your information frequently.
Android Issue. Was working on Android and suddenly quit working. links do not work anymore. It doesn't like the S Pen now. Please fix. I spent money on a planner that used to work. I've tried other planners and they don't work either. In response to your comments,....Additional- The S Pen works. Except the erase button doesn't work anymore. All links do not work and I have the current app version. I've uninstalled the App and re-download. I've restarted my tablet a few times. please investigate

I HATE THIS APP! let me explain so today my mom got me a subscription of goodnotes of essential but it said it didn't work out in Android I lost 279 THB thanks to goodnotes I wish I could rate this negative DO NOT TRY THIS ON ANDROID IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR MONEY TO POP OUT OF EXISTENCE, GOODNOTES PLEASE GIVE ME A REFUND ASAP OR I AM DELETING THIS IN 1 WEEK.

Additional frustration to my school year. I had high hopes for the app originally because a friend of mine was using it for school. However, every single time I try to open the app either on my laptop or on my tablet, it will not load all my folders with my lectures in it. And it will crash in the middle of me studying which is very frustrating. Also when I scroll through each notebook with a lecture in it, I have to wait for each of the pages to load. I will not be using this app next year.
worst app for note taking in anderoid
to all other people trying to download this, I tell you not do it or else u are gonna regret it. I unknowingly got the one year subscription accidently and I cannot be refunded, so not to waste it, I tried using it just to know I cannot download it to my phone. I hate this app!!! better use samsung notes
Being a browser based app, the android version is very bad compared to rhe iOS version. It's very poorly optimized, very laggy despite not having many modifications to the pdf. Templates also sometimes don't load. Unless the app iz optimized and the many bugs are fixed, the purchase will not be worth it.
