very disappointing is not giving correct picture of mobile usage there is private space creation option in mobile which child can used without coming in notice of google family link and there is not control of parents over mobile usage if child using app under private space in his mobile. this is the serious loophole of this app. Need to see to it even after contacting google they told that this is a mobile manufacturing feature and we have no control over it. then what is the use of this app.
poor controls. approval requests are unreliable. factory reset is now harder to do and now kids phone is not able to be factory reset.
it's too controlling for kids what's the point in having it if they can just figure out their admin code and remove it that way that's what I did
I hate my parents. why did they think it was a good idea to download this, I HATE THEM SO MUCH
Activity log is laughably inaccurate and lacking. This company is data mining everything yet somehow properly showing how long apps are being used is too hard.
dumb cant do anything
phone turn off and app ease of use are top notch compared to Verizon's family link! but I have chosen the setting to only allow calls and texts from trusted contacts. while the texts are blocked and he can ask to view it. he is still able to make and receive calls from numbers not in his phone book aka untrusted contacts
crashes and lags
Since the latest update, sometimes when I open the app it tells me to set up controls as if there are none set up, and I have to uninstall and reinstall to fix it. The fix is temporary, granting a small amount of time until the issue repeats.
Sometimes it never gets unlocked when I lock my child's device I'm really fed up with this trying again and again to unlock the device

my brother can't play specific games even tho he got rid of this. the multi-player in the game was closed and it isint that fun anymore. Thanks google❤️🔥

is horrible when trying to switch her phone to a new one. nothing works. this app sucks.
My child had been on her phone for a minute and it still shut her whole phone down and because she was offline we couldn't fix it. Please let me put in my normal parental password offline this would have fixed everything.

One Star! I lost my second phone because of this app! specifically I forgot my phone password and I tried Factory setting it but due to Family link blocking the ability to Factory reset I couldn't! Now my phone is locked for more than 8 hours every time you get the pin wrong

Family Link fails to check and stop dangerous apps, not recommended for minors, from being downloaded and installed on Mi cellphones by minors from the unremovable indus app store. please levy age related control checks on third party firmware meshed apps like Indus App Store.

This app has RUINED(no exaggeration) my life...Teens deserve to have some freedom while being protected by their parents...this app can most definitely be heaven for parents who love controlling their child's lives but, the screentime calculation is utter garbage.... also the minimum screen time should be set to an hour and not just 5 mins...Why would any teenager be happy by being able to use their phone for like 30 mins a day (including productivity and educational apps).... DO NOT RECOMMENDED

I've had this since I was 9 years old. It's totally excruciating! Parents literally thinks that privacy in tweens is suspicion. Im a teenager now and its still total bs.The school time? What the actual heck even is the school time? my parent put this onto my device and thinks it will save my grades but NO. I need my gadget for school. Parents with teenagers,please never download this for teens,they will loose their trust,and makes them more addicted to their gadgets with this app.
This is terrible. I put this on initially when my daughter was young. Now i cannot remove it. It does not give me a choice on the app or web to stop supervision. It messes up everything we try to do with the phone including resets etc.
worst app ever locked me out of my acc bc of my phone type just so stupid do not get this app it sucks so much now I have to rebuild everything I used to have on that account

I don't recommend this app I tried turning on location but it didn't show up after 2 years I don't recommend it and there's other problems I run into like changing downtime

As of now there's a bug that's making it nearly impossible to use this app as intended. When an app's limit is adjusted the change can take days to take effect or it can never happen at all. This was not an issue one month ago but it is now.

Very confusing trying to keep your child from downloading apps without permission. Had it turned on, and now suddenly it's off, and I can't find the setting in parental controls. I know they do this ON PURPOSE so they can make more money from ads. Hulu does the same with autoplay. Every update changes it back to original settings. My trust in Google just keeps going down.
worked great until my child's device just disappeared. apps are up to date on my device as well as his, accounts are active and connected, his screen schedules are intact, but his device doesn't appear in my app. what is happening.
not good at all. The location doesn't work properly. school mode decides when it wants to work. The child can use certain apps if they turn off data.
whenever i lock the device it doesn't respond like I've to lock it like 50 times to respond once.
It was just fine for a couple of weeks until my young brother A12 yo kid found 2 loop holes to disable and uninstall the parental control in one day.
