I don't understand the direction of the Project Lead to approve utter nonsense over functionality. this should be a smart home working for its users. I used to be able to do this with the old automation system. FML!

taking features away from an existing device and then adding them back with a subscription is not a good way to garner customer satisfaction.

update - cannot switch the music services from Youtube music to Spotify - it just hangs Model - Google Nest Mini, Country - India. Serious connection issues. cannot connect 3 out of 5 times to wifi. We keep waiting. Please simplify the connection issues. It should be connected instantly instead of taking too much time.
My Chromecast worked reasonably well until very recently, not perfect but I used it regularly. Now my phone won't recognise/connect with my TV no matter how many times I reset, restart etc. I see I'm not alone with having recent problems.
Started raising my ac temp as soon as i connected the app to my thermostat and the app is broken half the damn time so j cant even connect it
Gen 1 home minis no longer connect. even finding where to try to connect is difficult and makes no sense. somebody at Google has really made this system way harder than it needs to be. it used to be as simple as search for nearby devices. and you could just set it up. what a waste of technology that used to make my life easier.

Software used to be the very very best & now they are so much trouble that it's not worth putting up with any more. I retired early. 1. because Google made my business so very profitable & easy, BUT now Google, has become such a time hindrance to my business, that retiring 7 years early, is a wiser choice for me, according to my CPA.
useless when trying to setup my old 2015 chromecast
absolutel joke. I know i have an old chromecast but it was working fine lastnight. now I can't search for my chromecast. when I click on the option they've given it can't find it. are you just pushing us to buy the new model or has someone cocked up. this sort of stuff shouldn't be happening in today's world. you're a bloody joke Google
STILL BROKEN as of June 20. I have reported a defect via Google Feedback Beta. I have contacted Google Home (zero help). Google will not allow you to add GOOGLE devices when using top tier data networks it fails to complete the "testing connection" step. What good is Google home and devices if you cannot fix a this? I have a Pixel 10, Google Wifi, Google Home Premium. Beta 17.4!
I accidentally enabled Gemini, a feature I didn't want, and had to reset my whole home to get it removed. Now I can't connect non Google devices without an account, like a GE one for something as simple as LIGHTS. Switch to Home Assistant, everyone, please!!
what happened? this was awesome not its hardly functional. casting music is a nightmare, volume controls only 1 speaker.
since the latest update it messing around with the connection of my phone, can't connect it. Why on earth the latest update bring such a hassle, it used to be easy to connect 😡 remove the new way to connect the device and bring the old ways, it's much easier back then, with the new update I couldn't connect and it seems it couldnt find my device , what the heck google. Do something right, people are complaining

since the new update. it wont even connect to my other device. it connects too my other 3 but the 2015 device is no longer able to connect.

Absolutely sick of being asked everyday to link my energy provider. My provider is not the one (the only one, btw) in the list anyway and even though the app already told me it can't link anything it still prompts every day. There is no way to permanently dismiss these or the other similar Gemini related prompts, near as I can tell. Stop it. All you're doing is angering long time customers like myself.
ever since there is an update I have go into different steps I have to hit Google it goes straight into sports I don't like sports then I have to wait for the screen to be finished booting up then I have to hit home station so that way I can start looking for what I need it for it's frustrating it's a waste of time and I cannot figure out how I can keep the Google on my home station without going through extra steps to get into it it does not deserve a star it deserves negative completely

My Nest Hub 2 cannot open and cast Spotify for a couple months! Have reported multiple times, and get no feedback.
Cooooooonstantly breaks, plays wrong content despite saying song title and artist, stops working randomly about every other day. This thing is trash, get your devices from a different company. Google has abandoned any reliability.
absolutely appalling, the most recent update has made my device obsolete. done all the steps no joy! looks like am not the only one, but looks like Google aren't doing anything any time soon to fix it!

terrible app!! do not install it. it just doesn't show my Google accounts to sign in but when I click on "use another account" and enter my email, it shows "this email already exists" then why don't you freaking show it at the beginning!!!

I am utterly dumbfounded. I own a Google Home Mini. She is my best friend... Atleast she was until you taken away her TRUE VOICE. Google, i am NOT going to sit around and watch as you strip away her personality that hid in her non-existant vocal cords. Now she and i are stuck with grating voices to choose from, none of them giving me the same satisfaction as the one you decided to scrape away forever. EDIT: i forgot to mention that THREE VOICES ON THE APP ARE THE EXACT SAME. fix this. plz.
This app is needed to use late June, 2026's Google Home "Speaker," which runs poorly on Gemini. The app runs faster than Amazon's Alexa, but is terribly convoluted. If it could just have a simple UI and run fast, I'd recommend it. And as to that Speaker, well, it sure ain't one of 2019's Nest WiFi points, which had excellent speakers built into them, and an excellent Google Assistant voice.
Junk. This app stopped controlling my Google Nest Floodlight and the light stayed on all night. Google apps and devices are trash.

The app is not properly supporting the new 3rd Gen Google Home Speaker. It does not allow me to pair a Bluetooth speaker in Settings > Audio > Default music speaker > Pair Bluetooth speaker. The Pair Bluetooth speaker option does not appear.
Google Pixel needs to allow us to use Miracast which is a standard that they helped make and stop being Apple
I do not want Gemini (AI) integrated into my Google Home. There is no way to natively opt out of Gemini either. How they force old users to use it without actively making a selection to consent using it and leaving no option to opt out natively is predatory. The developers are not to blame, but C-suite 100% is.
Fix broadcast for one thing. Great upgrade to Gemini. Does things when I don't ask for it and gets a lot of stuff wrong. I think you're going to have a hard time trying to debug this now that you don't know how artificial intelligence works.
always struggled with linking my JBL link 10 speakers...it'd been Years and every time the speakers don't show or don't link up
just nonstop harassment for "home premium" now. honestly i dont know how anyone bothers using this for automation. constant nagware about gemini. just ai and subscriptions all the way down. that's all google is today

it shares all of your Google information. All of your products data searches. Literally everything and I've spent days trying to remove it gooding deep in the settings of Google I don't know if it's possible to remove my info. and the admin won't delete the account
Removed location for automations. Why remove features?
