the most recent updates have made using app difficult. the concept of labeling local bus routes in different colors is good. However, it bombs out when trying to read the routes, which are black print inside the small color patch. the dark similar colors are nearly impossible to read, especially if outside waiting for bus. Imagine how difficult it is to read a double digit route that has an - a, b, c, or d. trying to send me to a FORUM loses u2 stars I clear daily, and u can't uninstall 1 update

Absolutely horrible, unreliable, and dangerous. Cannot trust the routes or estimates. It WILL take you longer to get where you're going if you use it
while this app is great for navigation it fails as a location sharing app. the past month on my samsung locations do not update for days, showing all my shared contacts as "offline". the onyx work around i have found (thank you, reddit) is to force.stop the app and then it works for the moment tp refresh their location. please fix this google!
when setting a route you will see a list of journey times, 1h10 1h30 etc. they are not the time it takes to get to the destination they are the time it takes after you get on the first vehicle, why? picking the shortest journey time does not get you there quicker. The route finding fails to show you the best route - my friend showed me a tube route taking 9 minutes when Google maps showed me routes taking 45 minutes on buses. TUBES/RAIL was enabled! you can only see certain bus routes. terrible.
App became a joke. Constantly error "Something went wrong" Using google pixel 10 pro phone . If I close app , clear cache will work ONCE. Then if I need to search new route same issue.. Thought update will help but nope ! Still AWFUL
faster and shorter alternative routes are not being given with recent update

You guys have destroyed my timeline data. It was really helpfull to me. Now when I did a factory reset on my device, I can't access the data after. Who remembers to export their timeline data? I didn't even know I had to export. What is point of this feature if my timeline is reset each time I factory reset or change devices, as no one will remember to export the data. My years of keeping the mobile data on has just gone to waste. I'm really disappointed in Google. I used to loved Google maps😭

No matter what Gas vehicle settings I use, a search for gas station brings up loads of EV charging stations and I have to scroll and scroll to find a gas station. It's infuriating!!!
Genuinely never gave me problems before, now it can't even maintain GPS signal on a straight road. straight up led me down a one-way street earlier today too. Just used it again and it lagged so bad I missed 2 different exits. Wish I could give a lower rating.

Good when it works like it should...keep changes settings. And since I don't know it until I need it, it's usually at a bad time .. It changed from START to finish direction settings to PREVIEW settings which is harder to view ... JUST LEAVE IT THE HELL ALONE.. doesn't take you direct....instead of taking you to a main light and turn L/R, it always wants to steer you a roundabout way through some neighborhood
Very Old map. Almost 2 year ago
the maps worked just fine until you messed with it. put it back the way it was! Every single one of your updates make it more and more difficult to use your Horrible phone.

I got notification but it's did not get the time for the notification..Im very disappointment with map..the notification get in many boxes I want notification in 1 boxes only..I want this app back to normal please..I am requesting set the back...

good to know that if a road recently opens maps will try its hardest to reroute you to anywhere but the road and you can't turn off the rerouting option. nothing like maps trying to make you drive 2 hours out of your way cus a road was closed the day before
the ai is terrible. I used to be able to simply tell it where I wanted to go and ninety nine percent of the time, it would work. now after the last update, it doesn't work at all. now, I have to basically manually put in my destination. Dislike this immensely.

this app is literally useless I mean it doesn't show the route accurately as well as it shows a short distance area in a long route and idk from where Google map makes their own route which doesn't even exist
WILL ACTIVELY REPLACE YOUR MANUALLY TYPED ADDRESS SEARCH RESULT FOR A SPONSORED RESULT, WILL ACTIVELY NOT GUIDE YOU TO THE ADDRESS YOU SELECTED AND WILL KEEP DOING IT EVEN WITH "PERSONALIZED ADS" STOPPED. USELESS PIECE OF CORPO TRASH Thank you for the reply, I stopped using the app entirely so everything is much better now, probably uninstalling next.
compass sensor not working. By default the compass button is not visible because the map is north up. When you rotate the map by placing two fingers on the map and rotating them, the compass will appear, and show which direction the map has been rotated to. At this point, you can tap the compass to spin the maps back to north up

After reliable operation for a long time now, the performance became unstable.ok, let me make it clear with the same intrent connection strength. I lost the guidance in certain places, which was not the case before .this make me suffering during travelling
The developers should be more serious about the reviews of users and contributors. I have been trying to fix as much as I can on the maps with proper evidences but still they are rejecting by contributions. Thats not professionalism. We have to work together building this service. There are several reports that disinformation from Google Maps is negatively affecting people's lives.
It was great but on couple of occasions it went crazy while I was driving. Additionally share location is not updating.
VERY USEFULL WHILE TRAVELING.edited nOW ITS NOT ACCURATE..EVEN WHERE YOUR LOCATION IS FAR FROM YOU..
used to be good but keeps getting worse! Now it work let me zoom in our out while driving!
