Total garbage. Cannot download batch of videos in customised settings which makes this app totally garbage meaning that each video needs to be downloaded manually taking an eternity with 100+ videos. How such an option does not exist on such an expensive app is beyond my understanding. Developers should be ashamed to make customers pay for such a basic app which doesn't handle this simple task. I'm moving away to DJI as I do not wish to waste my time and money on this app.

Bug report: the project "Save" button often disappears. Then, there is no way to save any changes, and the just got lost.

I can't get my videos. before working on automatic edids and Ai hype first get your basic app features running properly. you're losing customers on basics while you're chasing subscription$
As a user, I need clear control over whether features like Suggestions can access, analyze, upload, or use non-GoPro media stored on my phone, especially when the app requires broad media access and indexes local videos/photos, so that I can receive helpful suggestions w/o uncertainty about what data is collected or how my media may be exposed to cloud processing, product R&D, or AI training. Nags user to allow notifications.
I have premium but it takes too long to edit each single clip even just for trimming it, and when you're working with a lot of them you can spend hours editing. Also lately when you start a new project the options such as save project, or share the video have disappeared, so you just edit the video and when you want to export you cannot, having to go back and getting stuck between discard edits or go back to the project where you can only edit but not save or export which make the app useless 🙃
can no longer enable to live preview for my hero 5. such a pain I use this feature all the time just up and fix it and for gods sake test your builds

Only half works if you don't pay the subscription. It abruptly stops midway through downloading media and then it won't load in the half you're missing no matter what you try. The share button is broken, it converts the video and then shows a check mark and nothing else happens. It's so buggy and shady! Buy an Insta360.
I've been debating getting a GoPro for years. Finally bit the bullet and got one. Trying to use this app to get the Media onto my phone. Yesterday, it let me preview the screen, see the one test video I recorded and let me download. today, I used it to record a few clips of my day. Can not get it to work for the life of me. reset connects. uninstalled and reinstalled app. reconnected camera to phone. I cant get it to work and it's really making me regret my purchase. Help!!
Subscribed to the Premium version several days ago and said to login to keep. I kept logging out and then logging in but still showed "not subscribed". Went to subscribe again thinking it never went through and the same results are happening. Checking my account, I can see funds were charged twice for the same subscription with no refund on the original purchase. My account when I log in still shows "not subscribed" even though I "login" to keep/confirm the subscription. This is a bad glitch!
cannot connect my fo pro hero session at all , reset camera wifi, connect via app not working , once it did yet it kept asking for Bluetooth pairing at the same time ... tried many times and no way to make it work
maybe if GoPro wasn't laying off people trying to cut costs the App would work enormously better... I can barely edit any video now.
Worst experience ever! I bought GoPro Hero 13 + DJI Mic 3 for my 300 km trip - but GoPro doesn’t support normal TRRS or Type-C mic cables. 😡 Cheap connectors don’t work! After 4-5 hours, I found we need an expensive Media Mod or $150 adapter just to use a mic. GoPro’s locked system is pure nonsense. Should’ve bought DJI Action 5 Pro instead - way smarter and easier! & most of the time cannot connect with hero 13

initially looks fantastic....but I'm struggling with combining clips and saving them (to my phone, not quikedit)....whilst avoiding the annoying subscription adverts! if I could do what I want easily initially, I would be more likely to get more involved, and pay for a subscription.

I can't get this app to pair with my Hero4 Silver. The steps work until it asks for a password for the camera. I used Gopro's online guide and it was no help. I tried to open a trouble ticket but when I entered my email address, the same one I used to log on to Gopro's website, it errored out say I need to use the email on record. It may be a fantastic app, but I will probably never find out.

I hate this app. It is constantly trying to get me to subscribe. The workflow is unintuitive and frustrating. It tries to edit my files for me. The connection to the GoPro is really unreliable. I find it really hard to manage my files. All I want to do is get the files off the GoPro and edit them as far away from the GoPro ecosystem as possible. I recently got a DJI Action6 - miles better. I love the horizon lock and image stabilisation on the GoPro Hero Mini Black 11 but I'm done with Quik.
The auto edit function may be used most but this doesn't function as a basic editor. Trimming is clunky, no basic fades or transitions and you have to go in and undo all of the auto edits and remove music just to get to what you want to start with.
doesnr connect with camera, doesnt transfer footage, nothing even tho ive done it all with the latest gopro Hero 13. my friend with his gopro 9 succeded in connevting to my app but my gopro doesnt want to....
Can't even do first update. Had I known you needed an app to run this thing that doesn't even work, I would have never wasted my money. This is the brand new camera by the way. Until they fix this app, don't waste your money!!

Terrible app everytime I try to transfer the pictures or videos I've taken they never transfer peacefully and this time it deleted all the files of my last trip and I can't find them anywhere though they were on the camera's gallery but when I tried to access them using the app they were not there and just disappeared from the camera too. Genuinely would give it less than a star of possible. Don't even bother getting the camera itself atp.

impossible to edit videos manually. only auto edit option available with AI contect which I don't want. I just need to merge two clips together but it is impossible with this app
Update 4/2026. It's still 2 stars. they increased the price by $10 but android users get no new enhancements. I hate that the app doesn't allow more than one song. I've been using YTCreate app for editing & it's been great. **(original review 2025) When the app works, then it churns out great videos. Unfortunately for Android users, we aren't able to make edit on a PC although we have been told it's been coming for 2 years and we get charged the same full price as Apple users.
I have had problems with the app the moment I bought the camera. Even when I got end of the line phone (mostly because of Quik requirements), the problems continued. It decides randomly which of my videos to flip when downloading from the phone, it cannot process two average quality videos in a Studio collage, it does not allow me to share videos unless it takes double the space by taking videos to the app AND saving them to phone (both take memory). Seriously considering changing to another cam

The app works well for simple editing, however, the save button always disappears. You get in the zone and edit away only to eventually realise you can't save it and the last couple of hours of editing was just for fun and you have to do it all over again. How good 👍

Usable media cloud, but basic actions like trimming a couple seconds from the video take ages. Everything is slow. Faster to transfer to a laptop, use a video editor for the trim and upload yourself, which of course defeats the purpose of the app. Audio constantly bugs out while viewing videos (previous audio keeps playing after navigating to a different video) No way to (batch) move content from album to album which would be helpful for organisation Frame grab works nicely, though.
Clunky, somewhat hard to use, and it wants to help you too much with the auto trim feature. In the editor, you are forced to just let the app make all these bad, jumpy, auto edits to your videos first. Then you have to go delete all that it did before getting to manually edit the way you want. It would be better if there was just an option to manually edit videos from the start.
