SCAMS. I am a student at Indiana State University and tried using this app for months to get an internship in my field (data analysis). No companies replied to me that weren't scams. I've been getting job titles and company names from Handshake and finding the individual company websites rather than applying on Handshake to avoid scams. And guess what I found? MOST HANDSHAKE JOBS ARE SCAMS. Whether the job was completely made up or real with a different description, nothing on there was true.

Ad offered me to apply for remote video editing work but what I got was another job search app instead. False advertising. I'm a professional. I don't have time to waste.
This app is extremely limited to specific regions and universities. If your institution isn’t supported, you can’t even complete signup, making it unusable for many international users
Not for Indian people's waste of time There's no option to register with Indian number

You are able to set the job type and location preferences but it will ignore it and push what employers paid to boost.

if this app doesn't work in India due to Indian phone code missing then why it is listed in playstore in india? correct if I am wrong.
Every time I apply, there's no response. What a joke and it sucks. I'm giving it a bad review if this keeps up.

Difficult To Delete Account
I am a non-traditional student, starting college well into an established career. After receiving innumerable invites for internships, summer opportunities, and other irrelevant opportunities, I reviewed my profile and verified account preferences. I then opened a support request and was told that the app was working as expected; prospective employers simply ignore student profiles/preferences. I doubt any org actually wants a cranky middle aged man as an intern.

Doesn't Show My Registered Events. I registered for a Webinar on the Handshake website. When I went to check in on the app, the event doesn't show up at all. Also, there are bugs when it comes to verifying your ID. I couldn't finish setting up my profile because of it.

NO ONE GOT BACK TO ME ABOUT THE PENDING AUDITION AND AFTER I ATTENDED THE INFO SESSION THEY DELETED ME FROM THE SLACK BOARD BC THEY DIDNT WANT TO RESOLVE THE TECHNICAL ISSUE .
sick of apps signing you all the time and having to constantly sign in and it doesnt save any login info either....uninstalled...using website is way easier and more convinient
Every time I open this app it has logged me out. when I put in either of my two emails, it tells me no such accounts exist and I gotta make a new one. I dont even bother job searching here anymore, im just gonna lose whatever I save because my account seems to keep getting deactivated. sick of it
What an incredibly ridiculous application. You try to log in and it says you already have account... You try to connect it to your google and it says you already have an account. You try to log out and log back in with your credentials and it says you already have an account.
unable to log through SSO. after successful login through my school account it leaves me with blink page. Tried clearing data, reinstall etc... Until this gets fixed, Ill be leaving with 1 star.
terrible app. and most jobs on there are FAKE. Do not waste your time with this app

After 10 months I'm uninstalling. Heard NO job offers within the 10 MONTHS. going back to indeed, at least I got a few offers there....

Handshake removed the ability to leave reviews for employers reaching out on Handshake and I can see why. I was contacted by a company called Veritext through Handshake. This company almost qualifies as a scam. They spam users on job search websites such as Handshake and Glassdoor with various offers for the same position that they just list under different names. You apply and they get back to you the next day via email to schedule an interview, but they take 3 - 7 days to follow-up with you.
I can never find the events I registered for, the list is always empty. Nor does it show saved jobs. So I always have to use the website instead of the app.
I hear a lot of good things about this app, if I could only log in to witness it!! I get emails about setting up acct outside of the school I graduated from but no success. It acknowledged I have an account but when I try to log in via non school email it won't let me. It says my phone # already exist. So why do you send me emails advising this option if you can't even complete it!!!
I've been having trouble submitting applications for 2weeks now
Can not search jobs only in my area, filters do not work.
I need somebody to reach out to me personally quick to resolve an issue.I don't have a direct channel.Nobody seems to know. y'all be very careful when entering your school email addresses.The handshake website pushed me through to a portal.I was unaware of which populated a version of my email that I don't have access to and don't know exactly where it technically exists.
I've applied for 244 individual job opportunities. I completed my bachelor's degree in December. I'm really proud of my resume. I'm concerned about my complete absence of job offers.
It's been months and I can't login. I use my school login and says theres an error. I try creating a separate account with my email and it won't let me past the page because it keeps telling me to pick the degree level and then erases it when I press next.

The amount of AI related job listings and constant recruiter messages/emails asking if you would be interested in training Handshake's AI is really obnoxious and it seems like there's no way to block or filter out these offers either.
My main issue is that when I filter jobs (when the filter actually works) It has my major greyed out and when I try to fix that in my profile settings it says that I do have that major selected, yet the job says I don't. my next complaint is that almost all of the jobs I have to apply externally, I don't like that, I could just use indeed because it does the same thing. I have not gotten a single response from any of the jobs I've applied to.
Despite updating my location preferences in both the app and desktop site, I still do not get any job notifications in my selected area.
every time I try to respond on post, it keeps selecting someone's name without me clicking on it and erases my response. wth is wrong with this app?

klunky and sends to many notification
very very glitchy, constantly has pages where I can't click anything, no share option on smartphone, and lags a lot in general.
