Drains phone battery aggressively, almost unsustainably
I have recently taken a policy that states that I must allow the app to access my location, physical activity, turn my Bluetooth on and battery optimisation off. I have followed these instructions, yet the app still states that I am not sharing my data. I have tried the in app online chat and fully explained the above points, however the staff monitoring and answering the chat are unable to understand the point in making and therefore unable to assist me

useless. doesn't get passed the login. create a new password. sits there all day with useless history of driving. oh and the response. yiu have 14 days to cancel and my favourite.. no one else is experiencing this. patronising. so if claiming guess what. but use the app. translation. rubs hands together. we don't have to pay out. he's not claiming properly
I've absolutely struggled with downloading. I'd never do this again. I can access all sorts items I don't care about. I cannot access my policy. I CANNOT CALL ANYONE. I'd like some help please.
I have two car policy's but can only get one on the app have try to open app on other devices but still only give me the same one policy and can't find away to alter the email address on one of the policys
my wife Iand I use same email address and when I open app all I get is her car not mine
Still a really terrible App supported by legacy tech and abysmal processes. Misleading messages and a payment system that hangs for ages rather than completing the renewal. Other than the price absolutely nothing to commend Hastings Direct.

you drive and tab is rubbish, need to be connected to Bluetooth and GPS and connected to Tab to record trips?? why cant it record trips using tab and then just upload data when connect to phone??
this app just fails to load half the time and is broken
App doesn't seem to be able to load half the data on there, you cant see half your information because it just gives you the loading circle of doom.
I urge anyone who's planning on using this insurance to cover their car find anyone else the black box that is fitted only does selective readings and my overall score was 80 and my insurance has been canceled because of one day going slightly over the speed limit.. Yet it did not register my previous 20/30 drives I had done! In other words it won't pick up on your good drives only the bad ones it's a con I've had to find out the hard way! Please don't make the same mistake I did youl regret it.
inop app, does not open, inefficient,
had insurance with you paid 12mths out right, after the 12mths you terminated the policy. to me that was a down right rip off, I'm surprised the ombudsman don't get involved, just because you paid out on an accident with my car, the payment you gave me was NOT the value of my car, I gave £2 & half grand for the car you took £300 and gave me a measley £470, you work it out.
Download this app as I have just signed up to the app only insurance. However on logging into the app all I get is a continuous loading circle, nothing else. Not a good start.

not impressed, you refused my renewal on car insurance, even though I did not make any claims and have not made a claim for more than 50years. for a car or building and contents.
my insurance went up from 608 pounds to 1.120 pounds .I have 10 years no claims .
App is useless and doesn't work. Was forced to download it as part of my policy and seems like it's only being used to track my data and not actually let me do anything with it. Can't access anything. Try to make a change or see a document and it just loads forever, never actually shows. Tried restarting, deleting and reinstalling and nothing works. + What on earth is the point of a pin or biometric authentication if it takes you to a webpage and makes you sign in with your password anyway!?
app does NOT work, can download documents, can upload no claims discounts, have to keep setting up extra security settings to log in. Absolutely rubbish 👎
slow app, tells you to set up using biometric, then asks me to log in, then asks again. won't let me access my documents. useless app

Useless app. Only the home page opens. Unable to open any other pages including policy documents or contacts page
This app has been completely useless. Will report to Google Play Services so that it is delisted.

My advice to everyone would be NOT to take this policy . they will purposefully give a very low youdrive score and cancel your policy within a month , pocketing a huge sum of money for a month . please don't get tempted by the low price . It's a scam to get more money out of a person by cancelling their policy on grounds of low score !
App holds current documents and notifications of renewals, however doesn't allow renewal online. Calling then results in long hold times as they are unexpectedly busy, if payments were allowed online there would be less calls for them to be busy which result in 20 minute hold times.

Most basic tasks can't be done in the app! End up having to call.
this app is useless. I assume this won't work either. going round in circles. login asks for password everytime. Setup biometrics everytime. Then password to login again. Help section requests I open app. again round in circles . Open documents constant buffering. Useless.
I've not had occasion to use it yet but one frustrating feature is that the biometric login doesn't work. Each time you have to go through the ball-ache of entering all you data.
Can't access the Contact Us section. If I didn't need to message HD in the app I wouldn't have an issue.
So so annoying. All my details are stored in the app. I want a new quote as looking at getting a new car, but have to manually enter all the details. Gave up in the end and went via the phone line, which was easier. What is good is having my policy document on my phone.
